The Fifth World (Part Two)

The little paws scrambled in the air, then retracted. Immediately afterward, another hole appeared, and this time a long, thin tail emerged.

The little guy swung his fists wildly inside the eggshell, making holes all over it. Finally, he took a deep breath, used his tender head to push hard, and with a soft crack, the eggshell finally broke. The little guy finally saw the first ray of light in the world.

Even though he felt he disliked the child, Long Xun couldn't help but turn his gaze to examine the little guy the moment he was born.

It was a very beautiful little dragon. Its body was pale white and still quite small, about the size of a palm when coiled up. Its head was not as ferocious and majestic as an adult dragon. Its big eyes were a jade-green color, like beautiful glass. Small dragon horns had already grown on its head. It had just crawled out of its egg and was covered in wet slime.

The little guy lay on the ground and rested for a while. Then he turned around and ate the eggshell clean. In just a short while, the mucus on his body had dried completely. A layer of soft fetal scales had fallen off and new, hard, moon-white scales had grown back. A layer of fluffy, slightly long mane had also covered his back.

Then the little guy turned to look at Yin Chen and Long Xun, who were watching him intently without making a sound to disturb his first meal, and sneezed loudly: "Achoo!"

Yin Chen was immediately alarmed: "A-Xun! Is the child sick! It's my fault for not putting more animal hides in the cave sooner, it's still so cold!"

Seeing Yin Chen anxiously jumping up and down to block the cave entrance, Long Xun grabbed him, glared at the little guy, and then comforted him, "He's not sick."

The little guy was still wobbling and taking shaky steps with his tiny claws. The dragon's slender body and short claws were not easy to control, but the little guy didn't mind. He was having a lot of fun even when he fell down.

After observing him for a while and seeing that he really didn't feel any discomfort, Yin Chen was relieved and breathed a sigh of relief, saying, "You scared me to death... If such a young child really had a problem, there might not be anyone in this world who could cure him."

He couldn't help but feel a little worried. Raising human children was fine, but raising a dragon was a first for him. Although the one beside him was a dragon, judging from his exasperatingly disdainful look... Yin Chen had absolutely no hope.

Long Xun listened silently, and when he saw Yue Bai clumsily walk up to him and eagerly reach out his dragon head to rub against his leg, he flicked the little dragon on the head and sent it sprawling to the ground: "What are you sneezing for? Look how scared you are of your father."

Yuebai, who was beaten for no reason and had no idea what had happened: "..."

Completely unprepared for this turn of events, Yin Chen was speechless.

Seeing the adorable little dragon lying motionless on the ground in disbelief and sadness, Yin Chen felt heartbroken. He quickly reached out and scooped the little guy up to his chest, comforting him while angrily kicking Long Xun with his long legs. He didn't even care that his animal skin was askew and his private parts were exposed: "What are you doing? Why are you hitting the child?"

Comforted by her father, Yuebai finally snapped out of her daze of disbelief in the world. As soon as she opened her little mouth, she let out a sound that resembled the cry of a dragon. Her big, jade-green eyes blinked, and tears flowed out like water.

Yin Chen hurriedly tried to comfort Yue Bai, calling her his darling. It took a lot of effort to finally stop Yue Bai from crying loudly and turn her sobs into soft whimpers.

Long Xun silently watched this scene, feeling that he had been ignored once again.

_(:3」∠)_ So why does he want to have children?

If he had known that Ah Chen would accept the child so quickly, and that even if he didn't remember anything, he would still value the child more than himself, he would have just found a random place outside to wait for Yue Bai to hatch before coming back.

Now Long Xun is certain that if he dared to throw Yue Bai into the primeval forest as originally planned, he would probably be kicked out the door by Yin Chen and not allowed to go home.

I'm so tired... Even when he was a dragon and didn't know anything at birth, his fighting power was still very strong, so why does Ah Chen still protect this guy so much?

Watching the little dragon, now calmed down and no longer crying, coil around its lover's arm and rest its head affectionately on its lover's shoulder, Long Xun wanted to tie the thing up and throw it away immediately.

The child is old enough to take care of himself. What kind of behavior is it for him to cling to his father?

—Long Xun, whose IQ had dropped due to jealousy, completely ignored the fact that his son had just been born and was far from being an adult.
