Time flows by slowly like water.
In the end, Long Xun treated Yin Chen to the meal they had agreed on. He invited Yin Chen to his small apartment and personally cooked a table of home-style dishes. Yin Chen enjoyed the meal very much and wanted to stay overnight, but was coldly refused.
_(:3」∠)_ Okay, he should deal with the male lead first.
In just two months, the silent war between the Yin and He families came to an end with Yin Chen's sudden and fierce offensive. The He family was defeated; although they didn't go bankrupt, getting back on their feet would be extremely difficult.
Before the male lead even showed up, Yin Chen slapped him across the face from a distance, causing his face to swell up and his teeth to be knocked out, leaving him to swallow his blood.
For the past two months, Yin Chen only attended school during Long Xun's Chinese class. He would leave as soon as Long Xun finished class. However, due to the Yin family's aggressive and assertive approach under his control, no one dared to say a word.
Yin Chen never had that strange dream again, and slept soundly through the night every day.
Now that the male lead has been dealt with, the Yin family's bankruptcy is no longer a distant dream. Yin Chen has returned to his student identity, and every day in class he smiles at Long Xun on the podium with a lovestruck, infatuated expression.
His behavior was so obvious that even though the students didn't say anything, the Yin family still found out.
Long Xun, who was grading papers in his office, was greeted by an uninvited guest: a dignified and elegant noblewoman, beautiful and graceful, whose gaze, though polite, revealed a hint of arrogance.
The lady knocked on the door, and when Long Xun looked up at her, she smiled politely and asked, "Are you Mr. Long Xun, the homeroom teacher of Class 1, Grade 1?"
Long Xun hummed in agreement.
"I have something I'd like to discuss with you. Would you mind if we sat down together?" The lady spoke politely, but her attitude left no room for refusal.
Long Xun did not refuse. He knew the moment the woman appeared that she was Yin Chen's mother.
He wanted to see what she wanted from him.
Then... Long Xun and the noblewoman sat in a private room of an upscale coffee shop, silently gazing at the 5 million dollar check that was pushed in front of them. Their feelings were very complicated.
“Teacher Long, you are a teacher. My Chenchen is young and doesn’t understand things, but you don’t understand things either, do you?” The lady’s words finally revealed a hint of sarcasm. After catching her breath, she continued, “Your presence has already affected Chenchen’s life. Please resign from Shengguang Middle School. After that, whether you go abroad or change careers, I can arrange it for you, as long as… you never appear in front of Chenchen again.”
The lady picked up her coffee, took a sip, and frowned slightly at the scalding heat before continuing, "This 5 million is a thank-you gift, a token of gratitude for your choice to guide Chenchen back to the right path when he was about to go astray."
Long Xun simply gave a curt "Oh".
His attitude made the lady misunderstand something. She frowned and asked suspiciously, "Teacher Long, do you think it's not enough?"
Long Xunwei shook his head. The non-prescription glasses concealed his unusual vertical pupils, making him appear even more distant from humanity.
Frankly, given his appearance, no one would feel comfortable entrusting their child to him, let alone someone of his gender in human society where it would be even more difficult.
The lady meant well; she had tried her best to maintain composure and discuss things with Long Xun. Although she was still a bit aggressive because she was upset, she didn't think she could have done any better.
If she weren't worried about provoking a strong backlash from her son, she would have taken a more forceful approach and sent the man away directly.
He looked completely ordinary, nothing special. How could my silly son have fallen for such a man?
The lady felt incredibly angry just thinking about it.
Long Xun, however, said calmly, "You're overthinking it."
The lady frowned: "What do you mean?"
"Please take the check back." Long Xun suddenly sensed something, stood up and said slowly, "I will not appear in front of you and your son again."
Having said all he had to say, Long Xun walked out of the coffee shop amidst the lady's slightly stunned expression, disappearing the instant he turned the corner.
...
"Boss, this kid is really hard to catch."
"Alright, stop talking. Tie him up, or he'll wake up and run away."
In an inconspicuous abandoned warehouse, a group of thugs carried a handsome young man who had fainted inside, tied his hands and feet, and then threw him into a small cubicle and left him there.
The woman known as the "boss" was a woman with dyed red hair, a butterfly tattoo near her eye, and a flamboyant style, looking every bit the delinquent. The group of thugs around her were clearly her subordinates.
These thugs were quite obedient in front of her. The redhead ignored them and casually asked, "Are you tied up yet?" After receiving an affirmative answer, she stopped paying attention to the people they had brought.
The redhead frowned, nervously clutching her phone, waiting for a call to come in.
She didn't have to wait long before her phone suddenly rang, startling her. She frantically pressed the buttons for a while before finally answering, her voice trembling slightly: "Hello? Young Master He..."
"Yes, yes... the person has been caught... I don't know if the shipment is still there..."
"No, no, no, how could we dare? You tell us what to do, how could we, such insignificant people, dare disobey... He's tied him up very well, he can't escape..."
"You mentioned, we've searched for all those tracking devices, and they're all gone..."
"Yes, yes, yes... Ah? We're leaving now? But..."
"No, no, no, no problem, we'll get out right away, we'll get out right away!"
Hearing the "hang up" message from the other end, the redhead's fawning smile vanished instantly. She looked at her phone and sneered, "Still thinking he's some big shot? If it weren't for my bad luck in getting caught by you..."
