Chapter 73 So what if I'm sick?

However, the smile on Zhou Shi's face froze the next second. The bullet floated in mid-air and finally fell to the ground with a crisp sound.

"You?" Zhou Shi was genuinely shocked, as he had never believed in ghosts or gods.

"All I need is for you to keep your Zhou family's shares and stay away from Zhou Yang forever. It's a very simple condition," Pan Yang said coldly, tilting his head at him.

“Of course.” Zhou Shi pondered for a moment before speaking, then waved his hand to signal his butler to prepare the materials.

A few minutes later, the bodyguards rushed in and opened fire.

Zhou Yang was shocked; this person was really courting death.

With quick reflexes, Pan Yang shielded Zhou Yang behind him, while Zhou Shi had already taken advantage of the chaos to escape the attack range.

"Kill them all," Zhou Shi said to the bodyguard, looking at them.

Zhou Wen and Zhou Xia breathed a sigh of relief and smiled. "Zhou Yang, today is your death day."

"Protect him." Pan Yang threw the sword away, and the sword seemed to have its own consciousness, floating in mid-air and blocking the bullet.

Pan Yang rubbed his wrists and rushed forward. Half an hour later, Zhou Shi huddled to one side, covering his head.

"I agree! I agree!" Zhou Shi hurriedly spoke up as he looked at Pan Yang sitting in the chair, afraid that if he was a step too slow, he would end up like the bodyguard on the ground.

In the end, Pan Yang obtained a letter of commitment and left with Zhou Yang.

The two arrived at the parking lot and got into the car. Zhou Yang was still in a daze. Was it really that simple? But the change came too suddenly, like a dream.

He took a deep breath. He couldn't quite describe his feelings at that moment. His hands were even trembling as he started the car. He had almost thought he and Pan Yang were going to die there.

"Are you afraid of me?" Pan Yang asked, looking at him with displeasure.

"Huh? No." Zhou Yang hurriedly said, "I'm just a little shocked. You really don't need to help me. You should already know that I'm an illegitimate child. There's no need for you to take risks for me."

Are you afraid of the Zhou family?

“I’m not afraid, I’m just worried you’ll get hurt,” Zhou Yang said, shaking his head as he drove the car out of the parking lot.

“You should trust me.” Instead of looking at him, Pan Yang looked out the window.

What should I do if the hidden character doesn't believe in my abilities? Should I just lock them up?

Zhou Yang sighed helplessly and took a deep breath: "That's not what I meant."

He suddenly felt like he couldn't explain to Huan Yang that he had too many concerns, but Huan Yang never seemed to worry about anything, as if there was nothing that could bother him, as if he didn't belong in this world at all.

Then came the sound of brakes and the honking of a horn. Pan Yang felt dizzy and the car came to a sudden stop after a loud crash.

The vehicle landed entirely on the power lines next to it, while a huge truck lay overturned less than a meter away.

Pan Yang had a ringing in his ears and couldn't hear the sounds around him: "Zhou Yang?" He reached out to check his breath, but he had just fainted.

Pan Yang got out of the car to carry Zhou Yang out, but the car door on Zhou Yang's side was twisted from the impact. Passersby saw this and went to help pull it open.

Pan Yang sat on the ground with Zhou Yang in his arms. The road was completely blocked by an overturned truck. If Zhou Yang hadn't reacted quickly, the two of them would probably be meat patties by now.

001: "Host, are you alright?"

Pan Yang shook his ears, and the tinnitus gradually subsided: "You won't die. The Zhou family did the right thing, didn't they?"

“Zhou Shi had already made arrangements before the banquet began,” 001 hesitated for a moment before finally saying it.

Ambulances and police arrived quickly, and Zhou Yang and Pan Yang were taken directly to the hospital, while the truck driver died on the spot.

It was ultimately determined to be an accident; the truck's brakes failed and it was overloaded, causing it to tip over.

Pan Yang was fine, just a minor cut that even the doctor found unbelievable; it seemed the driver had minimized the damage to Pan Yang.

Zhou Yang suffered a mild concussion and some internal bleeding, requiring rest.

Night fell, the moon was obscured by dark clouds, and the cool breeze felt somewhat eerie.

A huge fire broke out at the Zhou family's residence, burning for several days before being extinguished. Everyone in the Zhou family died, leaving only charred bones and mangled flesh, making it impossible to determine the cause of death.

Pan Yang sat on the hospital bed, looking at the news reports, his gaze darkening.

001 really wants to just disappear right now. Who knows how terrifying the host was last night? The killing was so ruthless that they didn't even have time to wail.

He probably understood why his master wanted to deal with Huan Yang; such a powerful and cold-blooded person was dangerous just by being around.

"You did this?" Zhou Yang turned to look at Pan Yang, his intuition telling him that it was Pan Yang who did it.

Pan Yang lay down and leaned against the pillows: "I'm in the hospital."

Does anyone have proof that I did it? I was clearly in the hospital the whole time.

Zhou Yang breathed a sigh of relief seeing his fearless demeanor; at least he hadn't left any evidence.

Now it seems that everything that could threaten him has been dealt with by Pan Yang, and he suddenly chuckled.

"What's wrong?" Pan Yang was a little confused. Oh no, could it be that the hidden character was scared out of their wits? That shouldn't be the case, oh poor child.

001: "......" Well, it's still that rich-hearted host. What the hell am I worried about?

"I just find it a little funny." Zhou Yang looked at him, her eyes filled with tenderness and helplessness.

When he saw Fan Yang in the mental hospital, he originally thought he could help Fan Yang and bring some hope to his life.

However, what he didn't expect was that it was Pan Yang who was his expectation, and it seemed that the one who needed help from beginning to end was not Pan Yang, but himself.

Looking at Zhou Yang's expression, Pan Yang silently got up and touched his forehead: "No fever." Is this child really stupid?

Zhou Yang removed Pan Yang's hand: "I'm fine, I'm just suddenly grateful that I met you."

Pan Yang sat back on his bed: "Well said." I like to hear it, so I'll say more.

"Ha," Zhou Yang laughed as he looked at him. After a long while, he said, "Let's have a wedding after I'm discharged from the hospital in a few days?"

"Hmm." He breathed a sigh of relief upon receiving Pan Yang's reply. To be honest, he was still a little worried that Pan Yang wouldn't agree.

After being discharged from the hospital, Zhou Yang immediately took him to buy two suits and then booked a wedding. The wedding was very grand, but not many people came.

However, it didn't matter to them. Huan Yang didn't care about any of that. In fact, he would rather just get a marriage certificate directly. Weddings were too troublesome. All those vows and rituals were just too much trouble.

After Zhao Nianyang turned eighteen, he moved out, ostensibly to give the two of them some space, and in the end, the two of them lived a happy life together.

Fan Yang returned to the system space and entered the next world without much rest.
