Novel website. Without the thorns causing trouble, Linghu Lan quickly cut a path.
She followed the path back to the front of the seven dwarfs' house.
She knocked on the door, but no one answered.
Linghu Lan thought for a moment, then gently pushed open the door and went inside.
There was no one in the house except for a very neatly arranged table, chairs, plates, forks, cups and food, and seven small beds.
Linghu Lan looked around the room. On the white wall hung a pair of boots that shimmered with red light. The closer Linghu Lan got, the more dazzling the red light on the boots became.
Linghu Lan touched it with her hand and suddenly felt a pain as if her entire soul was burning. She immediately withdrew her hand.
There was a knock at the door.
A dwarf saw her and hurriedly said, "You absolutely mustn't touch our fire boots."
"Fire boots?" Linghu Lan turned around and saw a group of dwarves.
One of the dwarves chimed in, “That’s right, these are fire boots specifically designed to deal with wicked witches. Wearing them, even the most powerful wizards will be unable to cast spells and will be burned alive by the flames on the boots.”
Another dwarf said, "These boots only obey us; they're useless to you if you take them."
Ah, I feel like I've seen you somewhere before.
Before the other person could answer, the fourth dwarf hurriedly asked, "Have you been here before?"
Linghu Lan and the other dwarves quieted down and looked at the fifth dwarf, saying, "I have indeed been here before. The ignorant village woman you mentioned last time is me."
"Ah! No wonder, so many people have visited our little cabin, we've lost count!!!"
Linghu Lan: "..."
I'm not good-looking, I'm really sorry.
“However, you still shouldn’t have barged into our room,” the eldest dwarf scolded.
"I demand that you leave immediately."
"Luckily you didn't touch anything, otherwise I would have been very rude to you."
"Everyone, don't get so agitated. I think she definitely didn't do it on purpose. Girl, are you lost in the forest?" It was the fifth dwarf who spoke.
Linghu Lan glanced silently at the fifth dwarf who spoke up for her. The latter gave her a kind smile, a stark contrast to the evil smile he had shown last time.
Linghu Lan just chuckled at that moment.
You're really good at playing the double agent!
“I did get ‘lost’ in the forest, but, Mr. Dwarf, I think you should be responsible for that.”
"Huh?" The fifth dwarf looked completely bewildered. "Why me? And what does it have to do with me? This is the first time I've ever seen you."
Linghu Lan was speechless. She stared at the fifth dwarf and said, word by word, "You told me that the prince who took Snow White went along the middle road, but I went to the kingdom of Prince Chi Yan along the middle road and didn't see Snow White at all. Who did you let take Snow White away?"
Linghu Lan's tone was somewhat fierce.
The dwarves were dumbfounded, and after a long while, they began to shout.
“You must be crazy. There’s no Snow White here!” the young dwarf exclaimed.
“That’s right, we don’t know any Snow White at all, and we would never let anyone take her away. You’re talking nonsense.” The older dwarf held his breath, his tone quite stern.
The fifth dwarf still laughed and said, "I think you must be mistaken. As my brothers have said, there has never been a Snow White here."
Linghu Lan: "..."
Holy crap!
What's going on?
