Chapter 102 The Master and Apprentice Were Taken into the Laboratory (1/2)

Sinking back into darkness, Su Xingran felt slightly uncomfortable, but she quickly recovered. This time, her hands weren't tied behind her back, nor were her feet bound. Clearly, the people of the Sakura Kingdom weren't afraid of the master and disciple escaping anymore.

The man who was escorting Su Xingran and Doctor Huang stopped walking forward. Although Su Xingran couldn't see, she knew by instinct that they had stopped in front of the grass gate.

Su Xingran was not mistaken; a man from Japan had already walked up to the straw gate and pushed it open.

Soon, Su Xingran and Doctor Huang were pushed inside. Upon reaching the laboratory, the man from Japan knocked on the door.

A male voice in Mandarin Chinese, sung in Japanese, came from inside, "Who is it? Is it Murakami-kun?"

The man standing next to Su Xingran, addressed as Murakami-kun, responded to the person inside. "Sato-kun, this is my name, Murakami Taro."

The laboratory door opened, and Sato, dressed in military uniform, stepped out. "Murakami-kun, Nakagawa-kun, weren't we supposed to be arresting the guy surnamed Huang? Why is there a younger one here?"

“Sato-kun, there’s another girl, this old man’s apprentice. She went to see Yamamoto-kun with that Huang guy and they were both drugged by him. If we bring her back with us, we’ll have another bargaining chip to use against that Huang guy.”

"Well done, hahaha! Murakami-kun, Nakagawa-kun, take these two inside." Sato finished speaking and turned back to the laboratory.

Near the grass gate, Gu Moting witnessed it being opened. His uncle and Xingran were pushed through the door.

Xingran's intelligence was completely accurate, without a single error. Gu Moting said to the soldiers following him, "Find a place to hide where you are, and keep a close watch on that grass door."

The other two small teams, led by Duan Yuming and Huang Tai'an, were heading towards the finish line. The path those two teams were taking was not as easy as the one Gu Moting was taking, which led up the mountain from Sujia Village.

By the time they arrived and joined Gu Moting's team, it was almost dawn. "Moting, what's the situation now?" Duan Yuming asked.

"Uncle Duan, my uncle and Xingran have been brought up the mountain. My comrades and I were capturing Zhang Yizhu at the entrance to the mountain. I followed the enemies who took my uncle and Xingran away, and finally arrived here."

"Do you see that overgrown area? That's the grass door Xingran mentioned. I saw them open that grass door and take my uncle and Xingran inside."

"When Xingran was taken away from the Zhang family, she left a crumpled piece of paper. It told us that she and her master would be taken up the mountain and that we should not act rashly."

"After walking two-thirds of the way up the mountain, Xingran found an excuse to get a chance to act alone and left a crumpled piece of paper. It told me that Caomen would be there soon and that we should not act rashly. She gave us a signal, and that would be our chance to attack."

"Uncle Duan, Brother Tai'an, I've been in the army for seven years and have encountered many people and things, but I have to admire Xingran. It's my uncle's good fortune to have her as his apprentice; she's willing to risk her life to protect her master." Gu Moting choked up as he said this.

Duan Yuming and Huang Tai'an patted Gu Moting on the shoulder. They knew that the girl insisted on accompanying her master into danger, which made them realize that she was a person of great loyalty and righteousness.

"Alright, now all we can do is wait, wait for Xingran to give us a signal. Hopefully, everything will go well for that girl and Uncle Huang." Duan Yuming looked at the lush weeds ahead with anticipation.
