Chapter 106 Gu Moting is rescued (1/2)

The whole world seemed to fall silent. Duan Yuming's face was filled with panic, and his hand trembled as he raised it.

Gu Moting remained motionless, his body frozen in place. By the time he heard the gunshot, he had no time to dodge. He thought he was doomed, but the pain didn't come for a long time.

The enemy standing behind Gu Moting, gun in hand, wore an expression of disbelief, blood gushing from his head and dripping onto his face. With a thud, the enemy who had been standing fell to the ground, his eyes wide open in death.

Duan Yuming stared at the scene in disbelief. The soldiers present were all baffled; who had fired the shot?

Only Gu Moting silently turned around and looked at where Su Xingran was standing. Su Xingran stood there, her gun still raised, calmly looking at the enemy lying on the ground.

When Gu Moting and the others formed a tangled circle and rushed forward, Su Xingran stepped aside to watch. It was fortunate she did step aside; she had noticed the enemy as he escaped the encirclement.

Su Xingran thought he would walk out the door and escape, but to her surprise, he raised his gun and pointed it at Brother Gu. Su Xingran also quickly raised her gun and fired before the enemy could, shooting him through the temple.

Duan Yuming followed Gu Moting's gaze, and his eyes widened even more. He saw Xingran, the girl holding a gun, her face expressionless.

Gu Moting walked towards Su Xingran. "Xingran, are you alright? Are you hurt?" To be honest, Gu Moting was also shocked by the gun Su Xingran fired. He knew that Uncle Duan had told her some things about guns, but he had never shown Xingran a real one.

Duan Yuming had already retired from the military. Although he was instructed by his superiors to come and protect Dr. Huang, he was no longer allowed to take his firearms out of the military base and had to return them to the armory.

Everyone was surprised that Su Xingran had fired a shot. But now was not the time to ask questions; they still needed to sort things out.

"I'm fine, and I'm not injured." Su Xingran wasn't injured at all, except for feeling a little tired and hungry.

"Oh right, there were also people from Japan in those rooms. I drugged them with a sleeping potion." Su Xingran and her master had brought sleeping potions with them before going to the Zhang family. The sleeping potions came from her master's family.

However, Doctor Huang's sedative was in limited quantity, and its effects weren't as good as those in Su Xingran's spatial storage. Doctor Huang also didn't know that Su Xingran had hidden the sedative in her spatial storage. The Japanese people at the Zhang family's residence didn't search either her or Doctor Huang.

They weren't searched after being brought into the lab. This made it easy for Su Xingran to take out the sleeping potion from her spatial storage and use it. If anyone asked later, Dr. Huang could testify that she obtained the potion from him.

Hearing Su Xingran's words, Gu Moting and Duan Yuming were a little surprised. "Xingran, where is your master? How is your master?" Gu Moting had not forgotten his uncle.

"Master is in that room inside, but... never mind, you can go in and take a look!" Su Xingran pointed to the room in front.

Seeing Su Xingran's hesitant expression, Gu Moting and Duan Yuming were a little suspicious. Could it be that their uncle (Uncle Huang) was injured?

The enemy at the scene had been brought under control; soldiers and police were binding and handcuffing them. Gu Moting and Duan Yuming entered the room Su Xingran pointed to.

The two people who went in first saw a Japanese man in military uniform lying on the ground. They didn't know that the man on the ground was named Sato.
