Chapter 125 Severing Ties Part 2 (2/2)

"I only agreed to help him because I thought Wang Shao was a good catch. I thought you would have a good life if you married him, and I was genuinely looking out for you," Su Wenxing tried to argue and persuade Su Xingran.

Su Xingran pressed her temples, wondering how stupid she had been to let Su Wenxing think she was so easily fooled. Looking at Su Wenxing's evasive expression, Su Xingran regretted coming in.

"Stop! I didn't come here to listen to your nonsense. You're demanding to see me so you can withdraw the case and get out of the police station, is that it?"

"Sign these three agreements, and you'll be out soon. Don't waste my time, and don't waste my breath. Do you even believe what you say?"

Su Xingran took out the agreement and spread it out on the table in front of Su Wenxing, asking him to sign it directly.

Su Wenxing was about to say something when Su Xingran impatiently interrupted him. He looked at the agreement in front of him and glanced at it. It was an agreement to sever ties; signing it would allow him to leave. Su Wenxing hardly hesitated.

He took the pen that Su Xingran had prepared, wrote his name on it, and pressed his fingerprint on it.

"When can I leave?" Su Wenxing was concerned about when he could leave.

After packing her things, Su Xingran said, "I'll drop the case later. The police will notify you." She then left the meeting room cleanly and efficiently.

When Su Xingran first arrived at the police station, she found Huang Tai'an and told him that she wanted to withdraw her report. Huang Tai'an agreed with Su Xingran's decision.

Wang Haibo will face the death penalty; he's guilty of murder, burying the body, and sexual assault—these are among his crimes. Although Su Xingran withdrew her report, Su Wenxing will also face the same fate. Su Wenxing was involved in gambling and also committed robbery.

It turned out that after Su Wenxing was released from the farm, he stayed at home doing nothing. He slept during the day instead of working and wandered around town at night. He accidentally discovered a small casino, became obsessed with it, and thought that gambling was a quick way to make money because he saw others winning money so easily.

Su Wenxing was itching to try it, but he had no money in his pocket and couldn't find any at home. While wandering the streets, Su Wenxing saw someone rob someone and quickly succeed; the victims didn't dare to scream.

Seeing this, Su Wenxing hatched a plan; he seemed to have figured out how to make money. And so, Su Wenxing committed several robberies, all targeting girls. Each time he succeeded and escaped capture.

Each robbery yielded some money, which Su Wenxing gambled away, sometimes winning and sometimes losing, making him even more addicted. If Wang Haibo hadn't found him and helped him, Su Wenxing would have continued committing robberies until he was finally caught.

These incidents occurred recently when police arrested several robbers. During interrogation, they discovered that others were committing robberies. The police's investigation led them to Su Wenxing, and it wasn't until they found the victim that they confirmed Su Wenxing's identity.

Huang Tai'an was busy handling matters, and Wang Laifu was recording the things on the list. They didn't have time to deal with Su Wenxing's matter; since the man had been captured, it wouldn't matter if they dealt with it later.

Su Xingran was somewhat surprised after hearing what Huang Tai'an said. She hadn't expected Su Wenxing to have a criminal record. Fortunately, she had kept her promise; Su Wenxing's inability to be released was due to his own mistake.

Having completed her mission and finally severed ties with the old house, Su Xingran and her father went to a newspaper office and published a severance agreement.

Upon returning to Sujia Village, Su's father approached the village chief and the brigade leader, instructing them to issue a public notice throughout the village. He declared that his family of three was severing all ties with the old house and would have no further connection with it.
