The man leading the way saw Su Xingran turn around. He quickly looked away and pretended to talk to the person next to him.
After walking for a while, Su Xingran glanced out of the corner of her eye and noticed that the four men were still following them. When she and Sister-in-law Xiaoxue stopped, they stopped too; when she and Sister-in-law Xiaoxue walked, they walked too.
Su Xingran confirmed that the four men behind her were the ones who had been following her and her sister-in-law, Xiaoxue. Their clear intentions meant they knew about her and Xiaoxue.
Su Xingran was puzzled. She had only been in Beijing for less than ten days, and besides the Huang family, the Gu family, and some seniors her master had taken her to visit, she didn't know anyone else. How could she have been targeted?

Su Xingran was worried that Xiao Xue wouldn't be able to resist turning around, so she kept her hand on Xiao Xue's shoulder. The four men following behind were puzzled. Why were the two women in front of them hugging each other and holding on tightly?
The four men, seemingly lost in thought, stared in surprise at the two in front of them. One of the men nudged the man next to him, tapping two fingers together and grinning lewdly.
Su Xingran had no idea what the people behind her were imagining. She was simply worried that Xiao Xue was nervous. She didn't realize that even same-sex men and women on the street wouldn't hug each other so tightly. This was common in the new century, but not so common in this era.
Su Xingran originally wanted to take Xiao Xue to a crowded place and distract the people behind her. However, she was worried that they might have other accomplices who could take Xiao Xue away from elsewhere. After thinking it over, she decided it would be better for the two of them to go together.
Looking at the alleyway ahead, Su Xingran had an idea. She carried Xiao Xue into the alley, and as soon as they entered, Su Xingran pushed Xiao Xue away from herself.
"Sister-in-law Xiaoxue, don't be afraid. Stand firmly by the wall. Take this dagger and use it to protect yourself if you encounter danger. If anything seems wrong, just run away and save yourself."
Xiao Xue watched in disbelief as Su Xingran pulled a dagger from her schoolbag. Her lips twitched slightly; who would have thought that such a refined-looking girl would have a dagger in her schoolbag?
"Xingran, I'm not afraid. You need to protect yourself. We'll face anything together." Although Xiao Xue was nervous, she wasn't the kind of person who would back down in the face of trouble.
