Chapter 161 The Thug Confesses (1/2)

"Confess, I'll confess! It's all our fault, sir, for being blind and offending your family." The thug didn't want to make any more demands now; he just hoped the person in front of him would show mercy.

"Two women approached us, gave us money, and asked us to capture your sister and sister-in-law. We made the deal on the street. They gave us some money first, and the rest will be given after we complete the task."

When Huang Taihe heard that it was two women who had hired people to arrest Xingran and Xiaoxue, he was even more confused. Hadn't Xingran and Xiaoxue said they had no grudges against anyone? "They instructed you to arrest them, and then what did they ask you to do?"

When the thug heard Huang Taihe's question, he trembled. He dared not speak, fearing he would be beaten to death.

"What, do you not want to talk or are you afraid to talk?" Huang Taihe could tell from the thug's expression what had happened after they arrested the person.

"Sir, I... I don't mean to be unwilling to talk, I just don't dare to. They ordered us to arrest people and destroy their lives. I heard another woman call out, a woman dressed like a young lady named Siyun." The thug finished speaking and cautiously looked at Huang Taihe.

Sure enough, he saw that Huang Taihe's face had turned completely black, his eyes like knives, as if he wanted to tear them to pieces. The thug trembled; he felt his life was about to end.

Although Huang Taihe had guessed what they would do to Xingran and the others, hearing it with his own ears ignited a fire within him. Such a vicious and cruel act against two innocent girls.

Huang Taihe remembered that the Zhou family had a girl named Zhou Siyun, whom the thugs were talking about. "Hmph," Huang Taihe said coldly as he turned and walked out.

Those thugs, especially the leader, knew they were finished as they watched Huang Taihe leave in a rage. They knew in their hearts how many crimes they had committed.

"Please have your police station investigate Zhou Siyun, the second granddaughter of the Zhou family. Let me know if you find anything. Don't worry about anyone stopping you; anyone who dares to stop me, the Huang family will kill him."

The policeman looked at Huang Taihe's dark face, not daring to ask anything. He had heard everything clearly inside. Someone who wants to court death must bear the consequences themselves.

Huang Zhenhua and his two companions were waiting in the lobby when they saw Huang Taihe come out. Huang Zhenhua asked Huang Taihe, "How did it go? Did you find out? What happened?"

"Dad, let's go home for dinner first. Xingran and Xiaoxue are hungry too." Huang Taihe didn't want to talk about the Zhou family at the police station and planned to discuss it at home.

The four men left the police station, got into a car, and returned to the Huang family home. Back home, the Gu couple were sitting in the living room when they saw Huang Zhenhua and the others return.

Liang Yun stepped forward and looked at Xiao Xue. "Xiao Xue, what happened? Why did you and Xing Ran go to the police station? Your father and I went home and found you weren't there, so we rushed to your uncle's place. Aunt Huang said you and Xing Ran were at the police station."

Xiao Xue was surprised that her in-laws would come looking for her, so she quickly replied, "Father, Mother, I'm sorry to have worried you. Xingran and I are fine. We encountered some thugs on the way who tried to kidnap us. Xingran subdued them, and they're now in the police station."

Hearing that she had encountered thugs and was almost kidnapped, Liang Yun looked terrified. Mo Ting had just left, and his wife had almost gotten into trouble; what if something had happened to her?

Hearing this, Gu Junru also came over. As a man, he knew how much his son cherished this daughter-in-law. "Xiaoxue, are you and Xingran injured?"
