Chapter 173 Su's Parents Return Home (2/2)

Su Xingran stepped out of her mother Zeng Huilan's arms and forced a smile. "Mom and Dad, please be careful on the train. Take care of yourselves when you get home. I will write to you and take good care of yourselves."

Looking at her daughter's forced smile, Su's mother, Zeng Huilan, felt a pang of pain in her heart. Her daughter was so sensible it was heartbreaking; she and her husband didn't want to miss her daughter's coming-of-age birthday, and they made the effort to be with her despite the long journey. The time spent together was joyful, but the time apart was painful.

"Mom and Dad, please go inside. Don't miss your train. Let me know you're safe when you get home, and write to me if you miss me."

"Also, remember the pills I gave you. Take them on time when you get home, and remember to rest if you're too tired from work."

The couple patted Su Xingran's head, took their things, and went inside. The moment they turned around, one of them had red eyes, and the other couldn't stop the tears from falling.

Su Xingran stood there, watching her parents walk away. Her emotions, which she had held back for so long, finally collapsed, and tears streamed down her face. She realized that no matter how many times she parted from the most important people in her life, it would always hurt.

Duan Yuming helped carry things inside, and when he came back, he saw Su Xingran sobbing uncontrollably. He turned his head away and stood silently beside Su Xingran.

Su Guomin and Zeng Huilan kept looking out the window from their seats, trying to find Su Xingran, but they couldn't. There were too many people, and Su Xingran was completely hidden from view.

Su Xingran stood motionless outside until the train started moving, at which point she finally reacted. "Uncle Duan, let's go back!"

Duan Yuming glanced at Su Xingran, whose face was streaked with tears. He was worried about Su Xingran's emotions, afraid that she would suffer if she kept it all inside.

"Xingran, try to think more positively. Life is just a series of partings and reunions. Once you experience it enough, it becomes a habit, and you'll get used to it."

Su Xingran wiped away her tears with her hands. "Uncle Duan, I know, I'm fine, you don't need to worry."

Seeing this, Duan Yuming didn't say anything, and led Su Xingran out of the train station. They found a car and drove home.

Su Xingran returned home, greeted her master Huang Ma, and went into her room. Huang Zhenhua, who was sitting in the main hall, watched Su Xingran's departing figure.

"Yuming, is Xingran emotionally unstable? Her eyes are all red from crying."

Duan Yuming sat down and drank a cup of tea. "Yes, it's quite unstable. When Guomin and Huilan boarded the train at the train station, Xingran cried so hard she couldn't stop. But it's nothing serious, Xingran will adjust on her own, it just takes some time."

Back in her room, Su Xingran collapsed onto the bed, tears streaming down her face. She bit her lip tightly to stop herself from sobbing. She didn't want her master and the others to worry; she just wanted to vent her emotions in silence.

Zeng Huilan on the train was also sobbing uncontrollably, and Su Guomin couldn't comfort her. In the end, even he himself silently shed tears.
