Chapter 176 The Battle Continues (1/2)

Blood gushed continuously from the gunshot wound in his abdomen, and the two gunshot wounds in his back and the one in his abdomen were becoming increasingly painful. Gu Moli's lips and face were pale, and he was covered in cold sweat; his clothes, pants, and even his hair were soaked.

Gu Moli's bloodied hand touched the bottle of powder in his pocket. The powder was a return gift from Su Xingran, a thank you for the birthday present Gu Moli had given her.

Su Xingran mentioned in the letter that this was a bottle of hemostatic powder, which could be carried on missions as a backup. It's best not to use it, of course, but when needed, it will have a very good hemostatic effect on wounds.

To buy time to apply hemostatic powder to the wound, Gu Moli fired two shots in the man's direction. The man quickly found cover and then fired back at Gu Moli.

Taking advantage of this moment, Gu Moli sat down, took out the medicinal powder, and uncapped the bottle. He lifted his clothes, held the bottle, and poured the powder onto the bleeding wound.

Ignoring the wound on his back, Gu Moli could only focus on stopping the bleeding from the gunshot wound in his abdomen. After applying the medicine powder, Gu Moli capped the bottle and put it back in his pocket. Just as Gu Moli was about to stand up, something hard pressed against his forehead.

Gu Moli chuckled softly, a sound of self-deprecation, regret, and remorse. He hadn't seemed to feel much about death before, but now he felt that being alive was quite nice. After all, he still had family he cared about and a girl he wanted to see.

Gu Moli trembled slightly, gripping the ground tightly with both hands, whether from the pain of his wounds or from anger, it was unclear.

The foreign man spoke a sentence in his own language. He pointed the gun at Gu Moli's head and pulled the trigger. There were two "clicks," but the expected pain did not come.

Gu Moli reacted quickly, grabbing the foreign man's hands and twisting them to use the leverage to stand up. It turned out the man's gun was out of bullets; Gu Moli had escaped unscathed.

Gu Moli stood up and punched the man in the eye, then kicked his wounded leg. The man groaned in pain and struggled to break free from Gu Moli's grip.

The man broke free and took a few steps back, where both of their flashlights lay scattered on the ground. The man's flashlight beam was clearly stronger than Gu Moli's. Both men were over 1.85 meters tall, and the light from their flashlights was insufficient to illuminate their entire bodies.

In the dim light, Gu Moli couldn't see the man's expression, only a figure attacking him. Gu Moli quickly realized the man was wielding a dagger, and just as the blade was about to strike, Gu Moli moved to dodge.

The man missed his first strike and continued to stab at Gu Moli, who kept dodging. When the man's steps faltered, Gu Moli kicked him from behind. The man staggered forward a few steps, and Gu Moli grabbed his right wrist, the one holding the knife, from behind.

Gu Moli forcefully pried the man's right hand back, simultaneously pressing his foot against the man's injured leg. The man, in pain, retaliated with his left hand, bringing their bodies into close contact. His wild left-handed attack struck Gu Moli's gunshot wound in the abdomen.

Gu Moli gritted his teeth in pain when his wound was touched, and the veins on his forehead and the back of his hand bulged. Gu Moli staggered back a step, and the man seized the opportunity to step forward, freeing the leg that Gu Moli had been holding down.

The man turned to the right, and Gu Moli turned with him. Gu Moli's hand, which was holding the man's wrist, also spun around, and the two were instantly face to face. The man, whose right hand was holding the knife, was grabbed by Gu Moli, and he slashed at Gu Moli. Gu Moli sensed the danger and stepped back, but even so, he was still cut by the tip of the knife.
