Chapter 182 Gu Moli's fever subsides and he regains consciousness (1/2)

Gu Moli had recurring high fevers in the hospital. Each time the fever would subside, it would return an hour later. Shao Fei and Dr. Qin took care of him every step of the way.

During this time, the unit leaders also came to visit. The mission was completed so well, but our side also paid a price. For example, Comrade Gu Moli is now lying in bed, unconscious.

After a grueling night, Gu Moli's fever finally broke the next morning and didn't return. He gradually regained consciousness and spent much more time awake than the day before.

"Mo Li, thankfully your fever has subsided. Doctor Qin and I are planning to transfer you to a hospital in the provincial capital. Do you feel uncomfortable or in any particular way?" Shao Fei asked Gu Mo Li, his eyes bloodshot and his face covered in stubble.

Gu Moli smiled slightly after drinking a cup of warm salt water. "Aside from a slight pain in my wound and a sore throat, I'm fine. Thank you all for staying here and taking care of me."

"Go and rest for a while. You must be tired after this mission. I'll call you or the nurse if you need anything."

Doctor Qin walked over and stood by the bed. "It's good that your fever has subsided and you're awake. I got some rest in the latter half of last night, so Shao Fei had a bit of a hard time. Other comrades will come to take care of you today. We'll remove the bullet from your abdomen once your condition has stabilized."

Gu Moli nodded. "I understand. You didn't notify my family, did you?"

Shao Fei shook his head and said, "No, we don't know how things will go on for you, so we don't dare to contact your parents for fear they'll worry. We were thinking that if your fever continues and Dr. Qin and the doctors at this hospital are helpless, then we'll contact your family, including Dr. Huang."

Hearing Shao Fei mention his uncle Gu Moli remind him of Su Xingran, he breathed a sigh of relief. Thankfully, he still had a chance to see her after returning.

"Mo Li, you can only drink something light right now. I'll go to the hospital cafeteria and get you some millet porridge. Rest for a while, I'll be right back." After saying this, Shao Fei left the ward.

Only Gu Moli and Doctor Qin remained in the ward. Gu Moli couldn't fall asleep anymore; he'd been sleeping for so long. "Doctor Qin, how did the mission go? Were any other comrades injured?"

Seeing that Gu Moli was in good condition, Dr. Qin sat down to chat with her. "The mission was completed very well; all the intruders have been captured. I don't know the specifics yet; you'll find out when you recover and return to your unit. Another comrade was shot, but his condition is much better than yours; he was shot in the arm."

"Some of the other comrades had more serious injuries, but they were all just superficial wounds. They just needed some medicated wine and a few days of rest."

Reassured by Doctor Qin's words, Gu Moli knocked the man down and then fainted himself. He had no idea whether the mission was completed or if his comrades were seriously injured.

The military doctor looked at Gu Moli hesitantly, as if he wanted to say something. Gu Moli sensed that the military doctor might have something to say to her. "Military doctor Qin, is there something you want to tell me?"

Doctor Qin nodded. "Yes, I wanted to ask you where that bottle of powder in your pocket came from, and where that small metal box containing the pills in your backpack came from. Did Doctor Huang give it to you?"
