Chapter 2 Spatial Manifestation (1/2)

Su Xingran had just sat up when she heard the door open. Turning to look, a wave of emotion washed over her. "Ranran, you're awake! Thank God you're finally awake!" she cried. "Mom," she cried, tears streaming down her face. Her mother panicked at the sight of her daughter's tears and rushed to the bedside, hugging her anxiously. "Ranran, are you feeling unwell? Or does your head still hurt?" Hearing the familiar, gentle voice, Su Xingran, held in her mother's arms, sniffled and shook her head. "Mom, I'm fine. I just missed you and Dad so much."

Su's mother poured Su Xingran a glass of warm water and placed it in her hand. "My dear child, it's good that you're alright. You've been in and out of consciousness for three days. The village doctor, Dr. Huang, said, 'You bumped your head, that's why you're unconscious.' We'll see how you are when you wake up. If necessary, we'll take you to the town hospital for a checkup. Ranran, you scared your parents to death. That day, your father and I were working in the fields when the villagers came running to tell us you had fallen into the woods."

Your father and I rushed up the mountain and found you lying on the ground with blood all over your head. Your father and I were terrified. Your cousin told us that she found you after you fell into the forest and carried you back up. Don't run into the mountains again. What would your father and I do if something bad happened to you?

Su Xingran felt a pang of pain in her heart as she listened to her mother's words, thinking of the tragic fate that befell her parents in her previous life, which ultimately led to their deaths.

She smelled the comforting scent on her mother and whispered, "Mom, I know, I'll listen to you." Your father has gone to work in the fields. Lie down and rest for a while, and I'll cook you a bowl of egg noodles.

Su Xingran drank half a glass of warm water and lay back down on the bed, her eyes closed as she pondered things. When she went to the small worlds to do missions, she was bound to a system, and the two of them accompanied each other as they traveled between the different small worlds to complete their missions. Although the system sometimes forced her to act according to the instructions of the main god, it always secretly helped her from behind the scenes.

At first, completing tasks was very difficult for her as a newbie. The system taught her step by step and reminded her to learn skills. She gradually went from being unfamiliar with the system to becoming familiar with it.

The system's attitude towards Su Xingran shifted from initial disdain to acceptance. Su Xingran's initial resistance to the system turned to gratitude. When she completed her final small world mission, the system told her it was preparing to leave. Its mission was to accompany each host and complete missions in the three thousand small worlds. Now that its mission was complete, it was time for it to depart.

Before she left, the system told her that by completing her final mission, she would not only be able to return to her past self but also receive a reward for her outstanding performance. The reward was a portable space containing items she had acquired in various smaller worlds, as well as the skills she had learned there, which the system would not reclaim.

Su Xingran silently recited the word "space" in her mind, and she vanished from her spot, entering the space within her consciousness. The space was approximately 1,000 square meters, containing a 300-square-meter ancient courtyard divided into three levels. The first level held various food ingredients, the second level held gold, silver, jewelry, and weapons, and the third level held medicinal herbs and elixirs. Some areas around the space were planted with medicinal herbs, some with fruit trees, and the rest were empty. The items inside were items she had stored in the small world for use in the next world during a mission. When she bound herself to the system, the space was also linked to it; she thought the main god would take it away after completing the mission. She never expected the main god to give her the space as a reward.

She silently teleported out of the space and lay back on the bed. The system's voice echoed in her mind: "Host, congratulations on completing your mission and returning to where you wanted to go. Partnering with you was my happiest and most outstanding mission ever. Host, I'm leaving now. I wish you all the best and a smooth life ahead. Goodbye."

An invisible consciousness was drawn from her mind, but Su Xingran could feel it. Her eyes gradually reddened and became moist, and she silently said in her heart, "Goodbye, System."

Mother Su carried a bowl of noodles, pushed open the door and came in. "Ranran, Mother has cooked egg noodles. Get up and eat." Su Xingran slowly sat up. She was still very weak, probably because she had lost too much blood and felt a little dizzy. Her wounds were still very painful. But she didn't want her mother to know, so as not to worry her.
