Chapter 20 Father Su vs. Old Man Su (2/2)

She reached out and found a bottle in her hand. She opened the cap, poured some of the powder inside into the packet of medicine she was going to take out to give to Old Lady Su to stop the bleeding. After doing everything, she put the bottle back into her spatial storage and walked out of the room.

Su Xingran handed the medicine powder in her hand to Zhao Xiaohua, the aunt who was supporting Old Lady Su. Old Lady Su withdrew her outstretched hand and glared at her.

Su Xingran was speechless. Even if she handed the powder to her, could she possibly apply it to the bleeding wound on her mouth herself?

Zhao Xiaohua took the powder, opened the paper packet, and sprinkled it on Old Lady Su's wound. The bleeding quickly stopped. Su Xingran lowered her head, a slight smile playing on her lips, then quickly looked up again, standing there as if nothing had happened.

Second brother, we've come to see you today because we have something to tell you. The villagers all say that Doctor Huang has taken your rebellious son, Su Xingran, as his apprentice. (Old Su didn't say the last word, for some reason.)

Second brother, do you even care about your parents and your older brother? Why didn't you tell us about this? Why weren't we notified about yesterday's apprenticeship ceremony?

Old Su was very uncomfortable. He had heard about the apprenticeship ceremony for the person with disabilities yesterday, where Dr. Huang had invited the commune secretary, the town mayor, and the police captain to be witnesses.

These are all officials. He originally had the opportunity to sit and chat with officials, and the eldest son could have shown his face in front of them. Maybe the eldest son would have the opportunity to become the village head in the future. All this good opportunity was ruined by the second son's family.

He was furious. But the missed opportunity couldn't be undone. Fortunately, there was still a chance for them to get in touch with those officials.

Su's parents and Su Xingran were speechless when they heard Old Man Su's shameless words. What did the apprenticeship ceremony have to do with them? Why were they even notified to participate?

Who are they? They are greedy, wicked, and shameless. If they go to the apprenticeship ceremony, something unexpected might happen.

At such an important moment, even a small mistake would be regrettable. Besides, this is Su Xingran's personal matter, and her parents only got involved because she is still young.

When Old Man Su saw that none of the three family members answered his question, he frowned. This second son's family didn't respect him. Did they think that just because they recognized Doctor Huang as their teacher, they could act lawlessly?

Second brother, this is unfilial. You have no respect for your father and brothers. Is this how the old man taught you? You learned to disrespect your father and brothers from him.

Upon hearing his father mention his deceased grandfather, Su's father instantly stood up, meeting his father's gaze with icy indifference for the first time.

Dad, when you say that, have you considered that you are also unfilial, that you have no respect for your father and brothers? Grandpa raised me very well; he taught me to be filial to our parents and respect my elder brothers. Over the years, I have followed Grandpa's teachings. Dad, think carefully about what I have failed to do?

When Su's father spoke these words, his tone was extremely flat, devoid of any emotion. It was as if the person in front of him had absolutely no connection to him.

Old Man Su was speechless at his father's gaze and tone. He felt that his second son was a stranger to him, as if he no longer recognized him.
