Chapter 22 Master Stops the Out-of-Control Su Xingran (2/2)

With a sorrowful and gentle expression, Su's mother stroked Su Xingran's head. She and her husband thought everything was alright now that their child was back. Little did they know that their child had suffered in the past and was still suffering in her heart even after returning.

She and the child's father were not good parents. If it weren't for the commotion at the old house today, they might never have noticed the child's abnormality until they were at risk of losing her again.

Thinking about this, she felt increasingly distressed and saddened, and her hatred for the people in the old house grew stronger. She glanced at Su's father and made up her mind: from now on, everyone in the old house would be her enemy, and she would no longer treat them as family, not even her husband's parents.

If Su's father doesn't stand by her and her daughter's side, doesn't think about his daughter or this family, and still treats the people in the old house as family, then she doesn't want him anymore; she'll raise her daughter alone.

The look Su's father gave his wife sent a chill down his spine. His wife seemed to have made a firm decision. If he disagreed with her, she would leave him. That wouldn't do. He could give up anything else in the world, but he could never abandon his wife and daughter.

I've written a prescription for Xingran's condition. I'll go home and gather the medicine later. Huilan, you can brew it for Xingran after she wakes up. This medicine is for calming the nerves and clearing liver fire.

However… Dr. Huang hesitated, wanting to say that Xingran might fall into a nightmare, but he thought he should stay here today so that he could treat and prevent it in time.

In the main hall of the house, several people from the old house were still lying, groaning in pain. They were still shaken; the insane Su Xingran was as terrifying as a vengeful ghost, and they were lucky to have survived.

After leaving Su Xingran's room, Su's father and Doctor Huang walked into the main hall and saw several people lying on the floor like rag dolls. Doctor Huang looked at Su's father questioningly, asking what had happened. Su's father shook his head; he didn't know either, since the people were perfectly fine when he went to see Doctor Huang.

When Old Mrs. Su, who was lying on the ground, saw her father and Doctor Huang, she immediately became excited and started babbling on and on. However, due to the severe injury to her mouth, her speech was unclear, and her father and Doctor Huang could not hear what she was saying.

Seeing that her father remained unmoved, Old Lady Su scrambled to her feet and walked up to Doctor Huang, reaching out to pull him away. This action startled Doctor Huang, who retreated in fright.

It was truly Old Lady Su who was in the lurch; her face was red and swollen like a pig's head, with two bloody streaks hanging from her nose and blood still flowing from her mouth. She looked like a ghost coming to claim someone at midnight, and the ugliest kind at that.

Seeing that Dr. Huang had moved away, she reached out to pull Su's father, who also stepped back. He hadn't forgotten that it was because of Ranran that things had turned out this way.

Old Mrs. Su was so anxious that she paced back and forth, speaking and gesturing incoherently. She pointed at Old Man Su, then at Old Man Su, then at Zhao Xiaohua and herself.

Actually, what she meant was to ask Doctor Huang to examine them and treat them. They didn't know where they were injured; they just felt uncomfortable and in pain all over their bodies.

Father Su and Doctor Huang exchanged a glance, and both of them simultaneously thought of Su Xingran. These people were clearly the result of a violent beating. Besides them, Su Xingran and her mother were also in the room. It was impossible for Su's mother to have beaten all four of them. The only possibility was that the deranged and violent Su Xingran had beaten them to this extent.

Doctor Huang knew that his apprentice's sudden change must have been due to some kind of shock, and the source of that shock was undoubtedly the four people in front of him. He didn't actually want to treat them, but he was a doctor, and the people had been injured by his apprentice; he couldn't just leave them untreated.
