Chapter 234 Killing the Enemy (2/2)

The "click" sound caught Su Xingran's attention, and she turned around. She quickly pushed the military doctor next to her aside and shouted at him, "Medical Doctor Chen, stay where you are!" She then ran towards the Yue man.

The Vietnamese man pulled the trigger only to realize he was out of bullets. He looked at the Chinese doctor who had pushed the man aside and was rushing towards him. His face was filled with disdain; he had realized the doctor was a woman.

He held a rifle with a bayonet attached. He intended to kill the two Chinese doctors with the bayonet to vent his anger.

Su Xingran heard the trigger click, but the bullet didn't fire. She knew the man's gun was empty, but it had a bayonet. Rather than passively letting him assassinate her, she decided to take the initiative.

Seeing Su Xingran move swiftly and quickly reach him, the man raised his gun and thrust it at her. Su Xingran dodged to the side, but a scream rang out.

The military doctor who was with Su Xingran kept his eyes fixed on her figure. He only saw Su Xingran dodge the man's bayonet, and then the man let out a scream.

Su Xingran pulled the dagger out of the man's back. The man screamed in pain and turned around, raising his gun to stab Su Xingran. The moment the man turned around, Su Xingran plunged the dagger into his left side, near his heart.

After stabbing the man, Su Xingran turned and kicked him hard from behind. The man staggered forward a few steps and fell to the ground. Su Xingran walked closer, picked up the man's dropped gun, raised it, and plunged the bayonet deep into the man's back.

After completing a series of actions, Su Xingran confirmed that the man was truly dead. She turned him over so his face was facing upwards and reached out to pull the dagger out of his left chest, where it was stuck in his heart. Su Xingran glanced at the blood on the dagger, then disgustedly wiped the blade clean on the man's clothes.

The military doctor stared in astonishment at Su Xingran's swift and decisive actions. He had assumed this young comrade possessed superb medical skills, handling external wounds perfectly, but he hadn't expected her to be even more adept at killing.

At first, when everyone saw such a young girl arrive, they assumed she was the daughter of some military officer, trying to gain favor through connections. Now it seems that whether she is the daughter of an officer or not is unclear, but this girl is not here to gain favor; she has earned her place through her own abilities.

Holding the gun she had found in one hand and her own dagger in the other, Su Xingran walked back to the place where she had been treating the wounded. Looking at the dazed Dr. Chen, Su Xingran said, "Dr. Chen, let's pack up and move on. The troops have advanced to the front."

Dr. Chen snapped out of his daze and smiled sheepishly. "Dr. Su, I was a little distracted just now. We'll be going now. Also, thank you, Comrade Su, for pushing me aside in that critical moment."

The two returned to the rear of the unit. Chen, the military doctor, looked at Su Xingran, who had just killed the enemy soldiers and immediately got back into work mode. He sighed inwardly, thinking how good this young man's attitude was.

The battle to capture key locations ended in victory. By this time, the Chinese forces had captured many southern towns and strategic locations, driving the enemy into a series of defeats.

Su Xingran and the medical staff are still working. The wounded soldiers have received treatment, but post-injury symptoms are slowly appearing. Wounds are infected, causing high fevers, and some are even unconscious due to severe injuries. These all require the attention and care of the medical staff.
