Chapter 32 Reclaiming the Space: We Can't Wait Any Longer!

Even if this little kitten tries to look fierce, it won't be intimidating; it will only make people think it's cute.

Zhou Ruilan burst out laughing and reached out to touch it.

Qin Hanshu quickly stopped her: "Don't touch it! It will scratch you!"

Zhou Ruilan withdrew her hand and stuck out her tongue. "Is it that fierce? How can a cat act like a dog?"

The tiger seemed unhappy about being called a dog and barked even louder.

Qin Hanshu patted its head and said, "This is a guest. You mustn't be mean to a guest."

The tiger reluctantly shut its mouth, flicked its tail, jumped onto the windowsill, and looked down at Zhou Ruilan.

Zhou Ruilan paused for a moment, then laughed out loud, "It's quite irritable."

Qin Hanshu said, "He has a terrible temper; he'll bare his teeth at the slightest provocation."

Zhou Ruilan got down to business, "My mom asked me to invite you to my house for dinner."

Qin Hanshu asked in surprise, "Why?"

Zhou Ruilan explained, "Last time you gave me so many rare treats, and when my parents found out, they said they had to repay you."

Qin Hanshu quickly waved his hand and said, "How can this be considered a return? If we're talking about returns, I haven't even repaid you for the floor tiles and curtains you gave me."

Zhou Ruilan came over, took Qin Hanshu's arm, and shook it. "Go ahead, this is a task my mother gave me. If I don't complete it, I'll get a scolding when I get back."

Seeing Zhou Ruilan's determined attitude, Qin Hanshu thought for a moment and decided not to refuse again. She turned around and went back to the cave to pick up a can of fruit.

Seeing her take something again, Zhou Ruilan pretended to be angry, "What kind of behavior is this? Aren't we friends? This makes us seem so distant!"

"I'd be embarrassed to go empty-handed. Otherwise, I won't go." Qin Hanshu made a move to turn around and go back to the cave.

Zhou Ruilan quickly pulled her aside, "Alright, alright, then you can take it with you, take it with you."

Qin Hanshu then locked the cave door and left with Zhou Ruilan.

Since the tiger wouldn't run around anyway, Qin Hanshu didn't lock it in the cave.

Although it was already autumn, the weather was still hot, and by the time I arrived at the Zhou family's house, my forehead was covered in a thin layer of sweat.

Zhao Chunmiao was looking out from the doorway, and immediately smiled when she saw the two of them.

"I knew you'd be here soon! Xiao Qin, come in and sit down, your auntie has washed all the grapes for you!"
