Chapter 241 Gao Yan's Troublesome Affairs (1/2)

"What's wrong with Brother Yan?"

Gao Yan turned around and looked at the "old woman," and thought, "Why does her back look so much like Qiao Wanyue?"

Gao Yan gritted his teeth with hatred at the mention of that woman.

He had meticulously planned everything that day, but the woman escaped. He and his underlings were both killed, his underlings were beaten to the point of near death, and he himself ended up in the emergency room.

The old man in the family knew about the stupid thing he had done and almost beat him to death.

"Brother Yan, the old man instructed us not to mess with that woman." The underling was terrified.

Gao Yan looked indifferent. "I don't care. She's my woman, and I'm going to marry her." Gao Yan's tone was defiant.

He likes women with sharp edges like that.

Although Gao Yan didn't see the person hitting him clearly that day, he knew it was a woman. The woman had long arms and legs, and the slaps felt soft on his face.

Recalling the scene from that night, his face was filled with longing.

No matter what, he was determined to get that woman.

“Turn your head around,” Gao Yan said.

The alley was sparsely populated; it was the only road leading to the East Black Market.

Qiao Wanyue wasn't sure if Gao Yan had seen her face.

She walked forward unsteadily, ignoring Gao Yan's calls.

Gao Yan, "I told you to stop right there."

Her pace quickened.

Gao Yan's eyes lit up.

It must be her.

He strode forward, grabbed Qiao Wanyue by the back, pinched the back of her neck with his fingers, and said in a sinister voice, "Old lady, I told you to stop."

Qiao Wanyue turned her head shakily, her voice low and trembling, "Ah, what did you say?"

She turned her head.

Gao Yan then saw an old woman with a hunched back and a pockmarked face.

He frowned and pushed the old woman away with disdain.

The "old woman" staggered and squatted down on the ground.

She slapped her thigh and said, "They're bullying me! They're taking advantage of me because I'm an old woman who's hard of hearing, because I can't hear properly. Young people are pushing me. I'm old, and I'm pitiful because I have no children."

She shouted at the top of her lungs.

Several dark heads peeked out from the other end of the alley, looking at Gao Yan with displeasure.

Gao Yan instinctively wanted to leave, but then he heard the "old woman" suddenly cry even louder.

Passersby were all looking this way.

It wasn't very clear, but the "old woman" was squatting on the ground, and the young man next to her was looking down at her, looking rather improper.

"Brother Yan, let's go quickly. We can't cause trouble lately," the underling advised.

Gao Yan looked at the old woman in front of him and felt more and more familiar with her, but the pockmarked face in front of him could not be compared with the angular face in his mind. His younger brother pulled him to walk out.

Gao Yan was dragged away.

Qiao Wanyue shakily got up, supporting herself on the ground. She reached out and touched her non-existent tears. She forgot that she had used black soil on her face. Looking down, she saw that her fingers were covered in black dirt.

Gao Yan turned back to look, unwilling to give up, and Qiao Wanyue looked up and happened to see a missing piece at the corner of her eye.

His eyes lit up.

"Qiao Wanyue!"

Gao Yan rushed forward and gave chase.

Qiao Wanyue jumped up and ran away.

In the blink of an eye, no one could be seen in the alley.

Passersby were stunned. Are elderly women these days so agile?
