Chapter 68 Get Lost! (1/2)

Qiao Wanyue walked over and glanced at her.

She smiled and said to the team leader's wife, "Auntie, you have to control the quality well. When we sell to the state-owned factory, make sure those big leaders have problems eating the dried vegetables and want to eat peanuts instead."

Upon hearing this, the team leader's wife's eyes darted around, and she immediately had an idea.

She looked at the woman in front of her with a forced smile. "Auntie, since you insist that I take it, Miaomiao, pack this woman's menu separately. When you sell it to the factory, make it clear whose it is. If there are any problems with the food, you can't come to our brigade."

The aunt's face darkened, and she picked up the cloth bag with one hand and dumped the moldy and smelly dried vegetables on the ground. She glared at the team leader's wife and Qiao Wanyue, cursing under her breath.

It's all the fault of that new daughter-in-law from the Lu family. The team leader's wife is even going to take her vegetables. These dried vegetables were dried a few years ago and got damp. Anyway, she gave them to the team headquarters to get some money. As for the food causing problems, who can prove it's her fault?

That despicable captain's wife actually wants to sell her off separately.

She rolled her eyes and left.

Yang Miaomiao ran over, swept up the moldy dried vegetables that had fallen to the ground, and then threw them into the trash heap.

Yang Miaomiao returned, cursing, "Mom, Sister Wanyue, those dried vegetables are so old, how dare they still send them over?" Yang Miaomiao's eyes were red with anger; the young girl had never been subjected to such persistent pestering.

Qiao Wanyue knew perfectly well that this was just the beginning.

Everyone harbors a sense of侥幸 (a lucky break), wanting to gain more but not wanting to give more; this is the mentality of most people.

"Hey, hey, hey, why did you pick out such good vegetables?" The argument started again over there.

The older woman immediately picked up the dried vegetables that Yang Miaomiao had thrown on the ground. The vegetables in her hand were a little better than those of the previous older woman, but they were still very broken and mixed with some impurities, and were intact from the outside.

But when you brush it aside, it's all just crumbs.

"Auntie, we won't accept these." Yang Miaomiao's throat was already dry from the morning. She didn't expect the villagers to be so uncooperative. Although her father had made it very clear, the villagers still held onto a glimmer of hope.

Qiao Wanyue simply said, "Secretary Guo, you've arrived."

Secretary Guo, dressed in a Zhongshan suit, walked over. He only glanced at the man and said, "If you can't pick something out, then you don't need to sell your business."

His face turned cold.

The older woman blushed as she was scolded and took the things from Yang Miaomiao's hands, saying, "Miaomiao, Auntie can pick them up herself when we get home."

"Have you been wronged?" Secretary Guo asked, noticing the girl's red eyes. Yang Miaomiao had a gentle nature, and if her father hadn't repeatedly told her to choose the best and not to ruin her reputation, she would have been very difficult.

She was starting to soften.

The aunties and grandmothers all said they couldn't afford to eat anymore, and that the dried vegetables were leftovers from between their teeth. She felt sorry for them and almost put them on the scale. Luckily, her mother arrived in time, and her mother was also almost softened by their persuasion.

Secretary Guo softened his voice, "Miaomiao, do you think we're heartless? We rural people can eat scraps and moldy food, and so can city people. Why are you being so harsh?"

Yang Miaomiao nodded, then shook her head.

Secretary Guo laughed and said, "You feel sorry for them, but have they ever felt sorry for you?"

Secretary Guo sat down in front of the scale, took it, and said calmly towards the door, "I only accept the best quality. If you don't know the standards, go ask. If it doesn't meet the standards, I won't accept it a second time."

His tone turned cold.

His words made the people who had just entered the team headquarters stop in their tracks, not daring to take another step.
