Chapter 117 Lu Qing Escapes

Yao Lili looked at Lu Yang with some confusion: "Why?"

"Most people would want to hide when they encounter something like this."

Lu Yang tilted his head and looked at her, asking, "She's only been an actress for a few days, so she probably hasn't saved up much money. Besides Lu Yao, she has no relatives or friends in Shanghai. Where can she hide?"

Yao Lili frowned and said, "Have Lu Yao rent her a place and buy her some groceries every now and then. Let's lay low for a while."

"Or go back to the county and find her mother; her mother will always take care of her."

Lu Yang couldn't help but laugh: "You know Lu Yao, right? Lu Yao doesn't have that kind of patience."

"Given Lu Yao's character, it would be good enough if he could just find her a place to settle down. He would definitely stop Lu Qing from going back to the county to find Guan Xiuqin."

“Lu Qing’s reputation is terrible. If she goes back to the county, she will definitely implicate Guan Xiuqin and affect Guan Xiuqin and Lu Yao’s lives.”

Yao Lili gave a bitter smile. She had never imagined that Lu Qing, who was once the most outstanding person in the surrounding villages, would end up like this.

She thought for a long time, but still couldn't figure out what Lu Yang meant by "just find a random place".

In her mind, it was just a matter of living in a slightly worse environment.

However, things were not that simple. Lu Qing leaned against the door and sat on the bedside table, dozing off for the entire night.

The next morning, Lu Qing covered herself up tightly, carefully opened the door, and went out with her luggage.

She hurried into a secondhand store, walked to the counter, placed her bag on it, and said, "Selling my bag."

The shop owner stared at the bag carefully for a moment and said, "Two thousand five."

Lu Qing screamed in distress, "I bought it last month, it cost four thousand yuan!"

The boss's expression didn't change at all, suggesting he was used to this kind of situation.

He calmly said, "We're a secondhand store, and we usually charge half price. If your bag hadn't been in such good condition, we would have had to reduce the price by another five hundred."

Lu Qing was trembling with anger, but there was nothing she could do. After all, she urgently needed the money.

In the end, she sold the bag, took the 2,500 yuan, and hurriedly headed towards the train station with her luggage.

After buying the ticket, she saw that the departure time was 8 p.m.

It's only 8:30 in the morning, there are still more than ten hours to go.

She didn't dare stay at the train station, so she quickly took her luggage and went to a nearby guesthouse to book a room and huddle there.

It was past one o'clock in the afternoon when Qin Hai finally woke up groggily. He called out, "Lu Qing, get me a glass of water."

However, after a while, there was no reaction from the surroundings.

Qin Hai cursed, rubbed his eyes, got up, and walked towards the master bedroom while scratching his butt.

The master bedroom door was closed, and he assumed Lu Qing was hiding inside pretending to be dead, which made him furious.

He kicked the door open and yelled inside, "Are you fucking deaf...?"

He was halfway through his rant when he realized there was no one in the master bedroom, and he froze on the spot.

What are you yelling about?

His shouts woke up the others, one of whom, a red-haired man, asked in confusion.

Qin Hai was taken aback for a moment, then walked towards the restroom, but there was no one there.

He finally realized something was wrong, checked the entire room, and confirmed that Lu Qing was gone.

"Damn it, that little bitch!"

He cursed, grabbed his vest, put it on, and rushed out the door.

Red Hair asked blankly, "What is he looking for?"

The bald man next to him laughed and said, "What else can we look for? We should look for that minor celebrity. She's probably run away."

"Hahaha—yesterday he said he was going to sleep with that little starlet, and she's already run away today!"

Red Hair burst into laughter upon hearing this, waking up the other two as well.

Qin Hai ran to a nearby convenience store to call Lu Yao, but Lu Yao was in class and Qin Hai couldn't reach him.

He was so anxious he was pacing around in circles, feeling like a cooked duck had flown away.

An hour later, Qin Hai called Lu Yao again.

This time, after waiting a while, Lu Yao answered the phone.

Lu Yao asked, somewhat puzzled, "What do you want from me?"

"Your sister is missing. I woke up today and found she was gone, and her luggage was also missing."

Qin Hai said urgently.

Lu Yao frowned deeply. He immediately realized that Lu Qing couldn't stand Qin Hai and was planning to run away.

He immediately asked, "Do you still want my sister to go back?"

Qin Hai replied without hesitation, "Of course!"

Lu Yao said with a straight face, "My sister doesn't have any other friends here. If she leaves, it can only mean she wants to go home."

"Go to the train station now and see if you can run into her."

"I'm going to the airport right away and will find her as soon as possible."

Qin Hai readily agreed: "Okay, I'll go right away!"

After saying that, he hung up the phone, went to the awning, took out his bicycle, and rode towards the train station.

After hanging up the phone, Lu Yao borrowed a motorcycle and hurriedly headed to the airport.

Lu Qing sat nervously in the guesthouse. Although she hadn't had a drop of water all day, she didn't feel hungry at all.

She just wanted it to be eight o'clock quickly so she could leave and go home.

Around 4 p.m., Qin Hai arrived at the train station, put down his bicycle, and immediately began searching.

Unfortunately, the train station was too crowded, and the surrounding area was bustling with activity. In June, Haishi was as hot as an oven.

He was so hot that his mouth was dry, but he couldn't even catch a glimpse of Lu Qing.

Finally, he couldn't stand it anymore, so he ran to a nearby convenience store, bought a bottle of water, drank it all in one go, and then breathed a sigh of relief.

Lu Yao also arrived at the airport at that moment. He went directly to the ticket seller, took out his student ID, and asked Lu Qing if she had bought a ticket.

Upon receiving a negative answer, his eyes narrowed involuntarily.

Knowing Lu Qing as he did, he was certain she would buy the tickets early on.

Since she's been missing for so long and hasn't bought a ticket, there's only one possibility: Lu Qing is planning to leave by train.

So he immediately rode his motorcycle towards the train station, but he encountered heavy traffic during the evening rush hour.

He could only push his motorcycle, moving it through the gaps between the cars.

By the time he reached the train station, it was almost 7 p.m.

Lu Qing was restless in the guesthouse. It was almost seven o'clock when she finally covered herself up completely, picked up her luggage, and checked out of the room.

She had just passed through security and looked up at the ticket counter when her pupils contracted involuntarily.

At this moment, Lu Yao and Qin Hai are at the ticket counter, talking to the ticket seller.

She broke out in a cold sweat, realizing immediately that Lu Yao didn't want her to go back to the county.

Lu Qing looked around and happened to see a train checking tickets.

She made a snap decision and rushed over, carrying her luggage as she squeezed into the crowd.

In this day and age, checking tickets at the train station is definitely a physically demanding job, because there are so many people that some always slip through the net.

Lu Qing wasn't very tall to begin with, but she managed to squeeze onto the train by hiding in the crowd and avoiding security.

After getting into the car, Lu Qing quickly ran to the back of the car, running as fast as she could, afraid that Lu Yao would catch up with her.

"Xiao Ni, this seat is taken."

As soon as Lu Qing found a seat and sat down, a middle-aged woman's slightly dissatisfied voice came from next to her.
