Chapter 118 Guess Who the Supplier Is

Lu Qing didn't want to cause trouble, so she immediately got up and moved to the other side, hugging her backpack and curling up into a ball.

"Comrade, are you sure she bought a ticket for 8 o'clock?"

Lu Yao confirmed politely.

The ticket seller smiled and said, "Yes, this is the ticket for the 8 o'clock flight north today."

Lu Yao sneered inwardly, thanked him, and walked toward the ticket gate.

Even though Lu Qing had been hiding and not coming out before, she will now come out to check tickets in order to go home.

As long as Lu Yao keeps blocking the ticket gate, he can catch up with Lu Qing. At this moment, Lu Qing's heart is about to jump out of her throat.

She desperately hoped the train would depart soon so she could leave Haishi.

As long as she can leave this place first, she can always wait for the next stop and buy a ticket to return to the county.

Soon the train sounded its whistle, and then it slowly began to move.

Lu Qing was surrounded by people, and she was almost squeezed into the car window.

A strong stench permeated the train, but Lu Qing paid no attention to it.

At that moment, she felt only joy, the joy of escaping death.

"Lu Yao, are you sure she'll take this train?"

Qin Hai, hands on his hips, soaked to the bone, asked irritably.

Lu Yaohan said with a cold face, "Since she has already bought a ticket, she will definitely take this train."

Qin Hai remained silent, continuing to stare at the people coming and going around him, but none of them resembled Lu Qing.

Half an hour later, Lu Qing breathed a sigh of relief, feeling that she had escaped a disaster.

Then they heard a woman's voice from ahead: "Ticket check, show me your tickets."

Lu Qing's heart skipped a beat again. She hadn't bought a ticket for this train, and she was sure it would be awkward later.

After thinking for a moment, she carefully took out a hundred yuan from her bosom, intending to buy a ticket later.

When the flight attendant came over, she whispered, "I think I got on the wrong train."

As she spoke, she handed over her ticket. The flight attendant glanced at it and said somewhat impatiently, "That's right."

"This is the bus to the capital, this..."

Lu Qing said helplessly, "I'll buy another ticket."

The flight attendant sighed: "Alright, give me your ID card."

"Thirty-five yuan."

Lu Qing handed over her ID card and money, and the flight attendant quickly registered her and gave her a ticket to Kyoto.

After receiving the ticket and ID card, Lu Qing finally breathed a sigh of relief and curled up to rest.

People around her stared at her with strange looks, and the middle-aged woman who had just said she was taking up a seat craned her neck to look at her.

"This girl is quite strange. She knows she got on the wrong train but isn't worried. There are so many stops in between. She can just spend less money and buy a ticket for the next stop."

"That's right, this girl doesn't seem to be in a hurry at all about getting on the wrong bus."

"On such a hot day, she's not in the sun in the car, so why is she so covered up?"

...

Lu Qing could only pretend to be dead. She also regretted not buying a ticket for the next stop earlier.

But then she thought about it again, and realized that her reputation in the provincial capital was already ruined, so she wouldn't be able to find a job if she went back.

She might end up marrying just anyone Guan Xiuqin has found, so it's better for her to go to Kyoto.

After all, Kyoto is a bustling city, so there are bound to be more job opportunities there.

With that thought, she felt relieved. More than twenty hours later, Lu Qing finally arrived at Kyoto Railway Station.

After getting out of the car, she glanced around, feeling completely lost.

After hesitating for a moment, she decided to find a guesthouse to stay in first, and then slowly look for a job.

"Eight yuan a day!"

Lu Qing was somewhat shocked; this place was even more expensive than the guesthouses in Haishi.

The receptionist at the guesthouse said speechlessly, "This is the best guesthouse in the area. Single rooms with private bathrooms. If you think it's too expensive, go ask around elsewhere."

Lu Qing was in a dilemma. There weren't many guesthouses in Kyoto. She had visited several, but they were either in poor condition or too chaotic, so she didn't dare to stay there.

After hesitating for a moment, she decided to stay.

After paying for the room for one day, Lu Qing took the key to the private room, locked the door, put down her luggage, and went to take a shower.

After a 20-hour train journey, she was covered in a musty smell and desperately wanted to take a shower.

After tidying up, she sat on the bed, munching on the cold roasted corn she had bought on the train, feeling an emptiness in her heart.

The next morning, she went out early to look for work, because she had to earn money to support herself first.

She spent a whole week wandering around the market before finally finding something to sell.

"I wonder what Yao Lili is doing now?"

When Lu Qing got the job opportunity to sell goods in a clothing store, she only had this one thought in her mind.

"Lu Qing, come over here quickly and move the goods. Iron all the sample garments and hang them up."

While she was still lost in thought, the store manager started yelling at her.

Lu Qing snapped out of her daze and said with a smile, "I understand."

The store manager then went to attend to other matters, muttering under his breath, "He seems to have lost his soul all day long."

With a tense expression and gritting her teeth, Lu Qing laboriously carried all the goods to the back warehouse.

Then she ironed the sample garment and hung it on a hanger.

By the time she finished, her back was aching terribly, and it was almost dark, but she hadn't even had time for lunch.

Lu Qing rubbed her lower back, went out and bought herself a boxed lunch, and sat at the doorway, eating it with difficulty.

Fortunately, other sales clerks were attending to customers during this time, so she didn't have to worry about it.

After the store manager left, the sales clerk came over with a smile and said, "After you finish eating, you can serve the guests. I'll take a break."

Lu Qing nodded. Shops like theirs usually offer commissions; they can earn a considerable commission for each piece of clothing sold.

Sometimes when business is good, the commission is higher than the salary, but the owner of this store is very stingy.
