Chapter 189 The Tian Family Comes to the Door

The caregiver at the door curled her lip and said to her colleague next to her, "Did you hear that? She must have caused so much trouble at home that her family couldn't take it anymore and sent her here."

“Otherwise, our expenses here aren’t low either. They’re a large family with so many people, why would they rather pay money than live with him?”

My colleague couldn't help but laugh and said, "Aren't all the people sent here like this? As long as they don't die in our hands, it's fine."

The caregiver agreed wholeheartedly. She continued to stand guard at the door, ready to stop Old Mrs. Lu immediately if she sensed that she was about to cause trouble.

After sitting on the bed for a moment to calm down, Grandma Lu finally realized that she was really locked up.

She didn't know where she was, she only knew that Lu Yang definitely wanted to get rid of her and leave her here.

By spending a little money, she can be prevented from ever disturbing their lives again.

The thought of this made Old Mrs. Lu's heart bleed with hatred.

Lu Yang entered the carriage, sat in the old lady's original seat, and calmly said, "It's getting late, let's go to a restaurant to eat. We'll have to cook it fresh at home."

Tian Zhaodi blinked and asked, "Where did your grandma go?"

Lu Yang sneered and said, "Go where she belongs. She won't have the chance to cause trouble again."

Aunt Xu didn't dare to breathe loudly. She was usually very fierce in front of others, but for some reason, she felt trembling every time she saw Lu Yang, this younger generation.

Especially when Lu Yang sneered or had no expression, he felt that Lu Yang exuded a murderous aura.

Tian Zhaodi was unaware of what was going on, but she didn't ask any further questions.

She didn't want to live with Old Mrs. Lu either.

Regardless, Lu Yang at least wouldn't mistreat Old Mrs. Lu, so she didn't take it to heart anymore and just sat quietly.

Lu Xing and Lu Yue exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with joy.

They had overheard Lu Yang calling Du Miao earlier, saying he wanted to send Grandma Lu to a nursing home, so she must have already been sent there.

After finishing their meal at the restaurant, Lu Yang carried the New Year's goods he had bought and headed towards Chen's Restaurant, while the others went home one after another.

When Lu Yang arrived at the Silent Restaurant, Du Miao was having dinner.

She wasn't surprised at all to see Lu Yang.

Based on her understanding of Lu Yang, she knew that Lu Yang didn't want to live with Old Mrs. Lu for even a second longer.

He will definitely get Grandma Lu away as soon as possible.

Du Miao smiled and asked, "What gift did you bring me this time?"

"You certainly didn't come empty-handed."

Lu Yang placed several gift bags in front of her and then took out 3,000 yuan and handed it to her.

“These gifts are for the New Year’s celebration, and this money is your reward for doing things for me.”

Du Miao couldn't help but chuckle: "You're always so serious and methodical. I really want to see what you'll look like when you have an emotional breakdown."

Lu Yang was speechless. He didn't reply, but coldly said, "Happy New Year."

Du Miao rolled his eyes. "Can't you say anything polite?"

Lu Yang thought for a moment and said helplessly, "Brother Chen, let me stay away from you."

"If it weren't for this, and I really couldn't think of anyone else to ask for help, I wouldn't bother you."

Du Miao spat out angrily: "We've been divorced for several years now."

"How dare this guy interfere with me? He suppressed me when I wanted to develop my career in the provincial capital."

"He's absolutely insane if he won't let me associate with other people now."

Lu Yang didn't respond, because this was a feud between Du Miao and Brother Chen, and it had nothing to do with him.

After exchanging a few words, Lu Yang immediately got up and left, not daring to linger for a moment.

When he arrived home, Tian Zhaodi, Lu Xing, and Lu Yue had already packed everything up, and Yao Lili was collecting coal in the yard.

Lu Yang walked to Yao Lili's side, picked up the bag full of coal, and headed into the house.

Yao Lili jogged alongside her, and the two chatted and laughed as they entered the house.

Lu Yang carried the coal to the kitchen to help Tian Zhaodi start the fire.

Several houses need to be burned, since no one has lived there for several days. In the dead of winter, the weather here is truly freezing.

After the house was warmed up, Lu Yang and the others sat in the living room watching TV.

Lu Yang cherishes the time he spends with his family. He spends most of his time in Guangzhou, and even with Yao Lili, he can't see his family every day because he's too busy.

On the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, the family was sitting together making wontons when the Tian family came to their door.

Grandma Tian was furious, her expression as if she wanted to devour Lu Yang and the others.

Tian Zhaodi was always afraid of her mother, and when she saw the old lady's expression, she was immediately frightened and turned ashen-faced.

Lu Yang sneered and said calmly, "We didn't bring your share. We're about to eat, so say what you need to say as soon as possible, and then leave."

Grandma Tian choked up immediately, swallowing back the curses that were about to spill from her mouth.

It was only then that she realized that Lu Yang was just his grandson and had no obligation to take care of them or give them money.

They came purely to freeload; seeing that others were doing well, they wanted to squeeze some money out of them.

Whether or not someone is willing to give it is their own business.

They must have offended Lu Yang last time they came, otherwise Lu Yang wouldn't have resorted to such a dirty trick to deal with them.

After calming down, Grandma Tian finally regained some of her rationality.

But Qian Guofu, who was beside her, was not so clear-headed. He rushed forward to hit Lu Yang.

How could Old Mrs. Tian stop him?

However, Lu Yang was no child; he was a strong young man in his twenties.

As Tian Guofu swung his fist, Lu Yang grabbed his wrist without hesitation, staring coldly at the guy: "What's wrong? Looking for trouble during the New Year? You came to my house to beat me up. Do you believe I'll call the police and make you work as a sewing machine operator?"

Grandma Tian was immediately displeased with these words and angrily said, "What are you saying? This is your own uncle, how can you say such disrespectful things?"

Lu Yang looked at him strangely, then sneered and said, "Don't you know how you've treated us, my mother and her three children, all these years?"

"I've already been quite restrained in being this polite to you, so don't push your luck."

"It's the Lunar New Year, and you're just asking to be scolded."

Old Mrs. Tian's face immediately turned pale. She glared angrily at Tian Zhaodi and roared, "You worthless bastard, you can't even speak a human language! I'll beat you to death!"

As she spoke, she actually rushed towards Tian Zhaodi, who was terrified and immediately got up and hid behind Lu Yang.

Lu Yang stood between Old Madam Tian and Tian Zhaodi, his face expressionless, and said, "If you've had enough of your madness, hurry up and say what's wrong. We're waiting to eat here."

Grandma Tian's chest heaved with anger, and she pointed at Lu Yang with trembling hands, saying, "What else could it be? Don't you know you've ruined your two uncles?"
