Lu Yao had been waiting for Lu Yang for a long time but hadn't seen him, so he had no choice but to head south back to school.
Later, he was unwilling to give up, so he came back during New Year's Day. He went out with Lu Qing purely to try his luck, but he didn't expect to actually run into her.
"Lu Yang, whose goods are these?"
Lu Yao directly questioned him, believing that Lu Yang had been deliberately avoiding Lu Qing and that Lu Yang must have been setting up a stall all along.
Lu Yang glanced up at them, sneered inwardly, and turned to Cheng Lin, saying, "My cousin and cousin are here. I'm going to talk to them for a bit, I'll be back in a little while."
Cheng Lin, sweating profusely, said, "Come back quickly after you're done talking."
Lu Yang responded, walked around behind Cheng Lin, and ran to the open space: "What's up?"
Lu Qing crossed her arms and asked coldly, "Can't I contact you if there's nothing wrong?"
"You must have made a lot of money following that person for a month."
Lu Yao and Lu Qing both looked down on Lu Yang from the bottom of their hearts and never believed that Lu Yang could go south to do business on his own.
Both of them were worldly-wise and knew that doing business could be very profitable.
Even if Lu Yang were just an employee, he would still earn more than a factory worker.
The thought that Lu Yang made so much money buying clothes but didn't spend it on them made them extremely resentful.
Lu Yang sneered and said, "How much I earn is none of your business. Don't even think about it. I'd rather throw it into the river and make a sound than give it to you."
Lu Qing looked Lu Yang up and down, and felt that he was different from before.
She snapped at him, "Look how arrogant you are!"
"You pretended not to know me last time, but now that we've separated, you don't even recognize me anymore. You've really made something of yourself!"
She deliberately emphasized the words "promising," clearly referring to Lu Yang.
Lu Yang felt nothing, and even wanted to laugh a little. The days he lived in the Lu family were actually good days in Lu Qing's eyes.
"Lu Yang, hurry up! We can't keep up!"
Cheng Lin wasn't deaf either; he was furious listening from the side and immediately urged loudly.
"Ah, coming right away!" Lu Yang quickly replied, then turned to Lu Qing and Lu Yao and said, "Don't bother me again."
Lu Yao immediately retorted angrily, "I haven't finished speaking yet! Give me five hundred yuan right now, I need it urgently!"
Lu Qing chimed in, "Xiao Yao's leg injury is too severe; he needs surgery. You have to pay for it!"
“They are all real relatives. Just because you’ve been separated from Xiaoyao doesn’t mean you can stop helping him. That would be too cold-blooded.”
Lu Yang looked at Lu Qing with a half-smile: "I'll give you 50 billion, do you want it? I'll burn it for you when you die."
Lu Qing pressed on, "How much can you offer?"
"Go ask Guan Xiuqin and Lu Jianjun for money, I won't give you a single penny!"
After saying that, Lu Yang ignored them and went straight back to his stall to continue serving customers.
Lu Yao was furious and pointed at Lu Yang's nose, cursing, "You lowlife, you rely on sensationalism to sell a few tattered clothes, and you think you're so great?"
"Am I begging? I'm the only male in the Lu family to go to university. I'll bring honor to the family in the future. It would be an honor for you to have me support!"
Lu Qing couldn't stop him, and Lu Yang had also scolded her twice, so she was also angry.
Lu Yang looked up at Lu Yao and said, "Lu Yao, if you don't leave now, I'll break both of your legs."
"From now on, you'll be in a wheelchair; even crutches won't be able to save you!"
As he spoke, he pulled a double-barreled shotgun from behind the box containing the clothes.
Lu Yao realized that Lu Yang was serious. He staggered back two steps, cursing under his breath, "You wait until we get back and tell the old man to deal with you!"
After saying that, she limped out of the crowd. Lu Qing glared at Lu Yang with a cold look and then left.
After they left, Cheng Lin spat and cursed, "Shameless! I used to think my two older brothers were already way too much."
"Seeing those two brazenly asking you for money, I suddenly realized my brother wasn't so bad after all."
Lu Yang gave a wry smile and said indifferently, "Let them be, anyway, we don't have any money."
An elderly woman who loved watching the spectacle asked, "Young man, have your cousins always been like this?"
Lu Yang snorted and said, "That's right. My second uncle has been gone for seventeen years. The two of them and my second aunt have been supported by our family all this time."
"They think it's their right to spend our money, and they especially love to look down on people. They really hate you and blame you for not having it. It's disgusting."
The old woman clicked her tongue twice and said seriously, "Young man, you should trust me. People like this won't have a good ending. Don't take them seriously."
Immediately, someone nearby chimed in, "That's right, how can you do that? Isn't this just raising wolves for nothing?"
...
Lu Yang couldn't help but smile and continued to work hard to sell the goods. Two hours later, they had cleared out all the stock.
The two drove their truck to get lunch, and it was only a little past three in the afternoon.
They all plan to buy a house because house prices are rising every day.
After making some inquiries, they went directly to the best residential complex in the provincial capital.
Lu Yang parked the car in front of the housing development and asked, "What kind of apartment are you planning to buy?"
Cheng Lin's eyes lit up: "Of course, a big house, one that looks spacious and bright, especially with a large balcony."
"Let's be like those rich people in Hong Kong movies, set up a table on the balcony, and enjoy barbecue and beer!"
Lu Yang cautioned, "What if your parents take a liking to this house and insist on moving here after they retire?"
Cheng Lin's joy froze instantly, and he immediately lowered his head.
Lu Yang patted him on the shoulder and said, "Since we have this way of making money now, my suggestion is that the house doesn't need to be too big, just big enough to live in, and we should invest the money in the business."
