When the five women came out carrying loads of goods, those who were eavesdropping outside couldn't help but get excited.
A bolder boy was the first to react, jumping into the water and swimming towards the mall. Soon, the others followed suit, and the sound of splashing filled the air.
The boy panicked and quickly increased his swimming speed. With so many people, what if all the supplies were exchanged? He would regret it to death.
The five women shouted towards the water, "The boss said she has plenty of supplies, so there's no need to rush."
This was a message that Banxia asked them to help deliver using a cookie, because she was afraid that someone would cause unnecessary bloodshed in order to compete for the right to trade.
Hearing the shout, everyone felt a slight sense of relief, but they still dared not slow down. The item was only real when they had it in their own hands!
The boy ran ahead as expected: "Boss, I need a box of fever reducers and a thick quilt..."
Banxia collected the money, Nanxing took the goods, while Jinzi and Yinzi maintained order on the side.
Even so, the two were still a bit too busy, so in the end they simply had Yin collect the money, Banxia and Nanxing take the goods, and Jin maintain order.
The transaction lasted a long time, not ending until 6:30 p.m.
"Boss," one of the survivors looked at Banxia with hopeful eyes, "will you come again tomorrow?"
"Here, the trading hours are the same as written on the flyer, from 8:30 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon."
"Then you must come tomorrow. I have relatives who live far away and didn't have time to come today."
Traveling is inconvenient during the rainy season, and Banxia nodded understandingly: "Don't worry, we will definitely come tomorrow. You don't need to rush to inform your relatives; we will go to another place to trade in a while."
"How can you leave? Boss, I'll go back right now and promote it for you. We have a lot of people here, no other place can compare!"
Everyone chimed in with their own advice.
Banxia said helplessly, "It's not safe to go home in the dark. I'll be going now."
After saying that, she and Nanxing led the cat and dog back to the hotel. She was afraid that if they didn't leave soon, these people would not let them go!
As soon as the two returned to the hotel, Su Yao and the others greeted them: "Why are you back so late? Did something happen?"
Kuroko and Yuiko also looked at the two with concern.
Banxia shook the water off her raincoat: "It's okay, there were too many people making transactions, which delayed me for more than an hour, so I came back late."
"It's alright," Fang Yunyun and Zhao Xuan brought out clean food from the house. "You guys eat quickly."
Banxia and Nanxing were indeed hungry. They had only eaten a few bites at noon because they were busy, and they were not full at all: "Thank you, Sister Yunyun and Brother Xuan. We'll give you the ingredients later."
"No rush," Fang Yunyun waved her hand dismissively, "We'll talk about it after we finish eating."
The two wolfed down their meal, finally feeling the fatigue of the day subside.
Fang Yunyun poured a cup of hot water for Banxia with concern and handed it to her: "Weren't you supposed to be trading crystal cores with survivors? Why are you so exhausted?"
She thought there wouldn't be many people trading, but it seems the opposite is true.
Banxia rested her chin on her hand and thought for a few seconds: "We probably received two or three thousand people today."
Many of them were familiar faces who had traveled back and forth several times, while a few had come from other places specifically after hearing the news.
Cai Yuan couldn't help but exclaim in surprise, "So many people?! Where did you get so many supplies?"
Banxia smiled shyly, feigning embarrassment: "I made money by cheating others."
Cai Caiyuan and the others nodded in understanding. They had encountered robberies quite often when they were killing zombies down the mountain, and each time they had a good haul.
Zhao Xuan looked at Banxia somewhat embarrassedly: "Banxia, I've planted a lot of vegetables recently, and I'd like to exchange them for some crystal cores. Is that alright?"
Banxia readily agreed, "Of course! Quite a few people came to me today to exchange vitamins and hemorrhoid cream, so vegetables will definitely be popular! Brother Xuan, why don't you join us at the stall tomorrow? There are so many people!"
“However,” she suddenly remembered something and couldn’t help feeling guilty, “we trade three times the amount of supplies as the official base… If you set up a stall with us, unless the prices are the same, you probably won’t get many buyers.”
When she set the transaction ratio, she was only thinking about selling the supplies and exchanging them for crystal cores as soon as possible, and didn't think much about it.
Zhao Xuan said nonchalantly, "It's okay, it didn't take me any effort anyway."
Su Yao stroked his chin, deep in thought. His brothers had all started to develop their careers, so what could he possibly offer in exchange?
Fire can provide warmth, but it can't be taken away; water is the last thing we lack now; electricity is scarce, and we can't even afford to eat, so how many people would be willing to spend crystal cores to exchange for electricity?
"Is this it? Smash it!"
A woman's urgent and angry voice rang out from outside the window, followed by a hammer slamming into the glass that had just been removed and replaced from upstairs that day.
The moment the glass shattered, several different supernatural powers were unleashed from Banxia and her companions, and the person who smashed the glass fell into the water with a "plop" and disappeared.
"Insolence!" the woman's voice shouted. "Du Jia, quickly take men and tie up these murderers!"
Du Jia urgently tried to comfort her: "Madam, the truth of the matter has not yet been clarified..."
"They killed people right in front of me!" the woman's voice roared. "And you still dare to protect them? I'll see what you do..."
"Where did this old hag come from, making such a racket here?"
Su Yao interrupted impatiently. He was almost able to think of what his family could sell, but he was interrupted by some random person. Did they really think he was a pushover who could be bullied by any Tom, Dick, or Harry?
"Old hag?" The woman trembled with rage, then her body went limp and she fell backward. "Du Jia, I'm going to tell your commander that you've neglected your duty!"
