Chapter 177 Trust

The second floor of the villa next door.

“You know,” a seemingly carefree young man stretched his neck and took a deep breath, “how about I go and visit the neighbor next door?”

From the very first day his neighbors moved in, he had wanted to visit them as soon as he smelled the aroma of hot pot. But his neighbors didn't seem to like interacting with people much; they were either staying at home or leaving early in the morning, making it inconvenient for him to pretend to bump into them.

The girl sitting on the sofa opposite the young man, Rong Youyou, couldn't help but roll her eyes: "Big brother, when are you going to get rid of this gluttonous habit of yours? Aren't you afraid of getting into trouble because of it one day?"

Rong Guang tapped Rong Youyou's forehead: "Nonsense, do you think I'm such a tactless person?"

The two were bickering when a beautiful woman suddenly pushed open the door, carrying a plate of fresh pastries: "Xiao Guang, You You, I made a plate of mung bean cakes myself. Try them and see if they're good. If they are, I'll make more for you."

Rong Guang and Rong Youyou frowned at the same time: "Aunt Song, why did you come in without saying hello?"

She placed the mung bean cake on the table and walked out the door with graceful movements. "I'll go downstairs and wait for your father to come back."

Rong Youyou slammed the door shut with a look of disgust: "What a pretentious guy!"

Rong Guang scoffed: "It's not like you're meeting her for the first time!"

He looked at Rong Youyou seriously, "When I'm not home, you're not allowed to have any conflicts with her, understand?"

"I know," Rong Youyou's eyebrows furrowed impatiently. "She can just throw away her own son like that, let alone her stepdaughter. Don't worry, I definitely won't bother her when you're not home!"

Rong Guang glanced at the mung bean cakes on the table, his eyes flashing: "What do you think, should I take these to visit the neighbor next door?"

Rong Youyou glanced at him speechlessly: "People who eat and drink well every day, why would they want your tasteless pastries?"

Rong Guang sighed deeply, collapsed onto the sofa, clutched his stomach, and pretended to be dead.
