The next day, at one o'clock in the morning.
Banxia took out two Barrett M82A1 rifles, two M29s, two RPG-30 rocket launchers, two M79 grenade launchers, a box of bullets, a box of high-explosive anti-tank rounds, and a box of shrapnel rounds from her spatial storage, and arranged them neatly in the bedroom.
She ignored Nanxing's slightly bewildered look: "These things are for your self-defense."
She patted Jinzi and Yinzi's heads again: "Jinzi, Yinzi, help your sister protect your brother. When your sister comes back, she'll open a can of tuna for you!"
Nanxing wanted to say that he didn't need so many weapons, but seeing his wife's worried expression, he had no choice but to compromise: "Honey, don't worry, I will definitely protect myself!"
Banxia put the two furry creatures into her spatial storage, hugged the man's neck, and exchanged a kiss: "Wait for me to come back!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Jinzi and Yinzi, who were completely bewildered, were moved out of the space again.
Banxia waved to Nanxing and Jinzi Yinzi, put on her mask and cloak, and left home on her skateboard.
Nanxing watched her figure disappear before pulling Jinzi and Yinzi into the house.
After Banxia left the villa area on her skateboard, she waved her hand and a Bugatti Chiron appeared on the ground. She opened the driver's door, stepped on the gas, and sped off towards the city.
The Devouring Tree emerged from the spatial dimension, a bag of spicy strips and an ice cream cone hanging from its branches: "Banxia, why are you driving this car?"
Banxia ignored the zombies blocking her way and rammed into them: "Get revenge as soon as possible, and go home as soon as possible!"
She bought hundreds of sports cars in the city for free. This one is the fastest, with a top speed of 490.48 km/h, which is faster than the Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle she used to ride.
The Devouring Tree stuffed all the spicy strips into its mouth and asked, somewhat puzzled, "If you can't bear to part with Nanxing, why don't you put him in your spatial storage?"
Banxia glanced at the map. The only place in the southern suburbs that could provide food, drink, shelter, and lodging for thousands of people was the South Bank Underground Plaza: "In case Yao Ge and Yuan Ge come unexpectedly, it would be difficult to explain if no one is home."
She didn't want Su Yao and the others to connect Xin Chong's matter with Xin Minmin. They weren't stupid; if they knew that she had killed Xin Minmin's family so early and without any clues, they would definitely suspect something was amiss.
Rebirth and the black and white yin-yang fish are her biggest secrets; she doesn't trust anyone outside of Nanxing!
Five kilometers from the South Bank Underground Plaza, Banxia parked her car and, with a look of disgust, put her Bugatti Chiron Star, stained with zombie blood and bits of flesh, into her spatial storage.
If there weren't only three of these in stock, and if no other vehicle could match its speed, she would have liked to use it and then throw it away.
As soon as she put the car into her storage space, several zombies that smelled human flesh came running over.
Banxia opened her palm, and several hair-thick, dark green vines shot out toward the zombie's head.
The seemingly soft and fragile vines, upon touching the zombie's head, cleaved open a large hole in the zombie's forehead like a sharp sword, extracting the crystal core.
She took out a box from her spatial storage, and the vines obediently tossed the crystal core into the box.
Fifteen minutes later, Banxia arrived near the A1 entrance of the South Bank Underground Plaza on her skateboard.
The South Bank Underground Plaza covers an area of 16,600 square meters. Before the apocalypse, it was a famous food plaza in City A, brightly lit and bustling with activity every night.
She found a building to hide herself behind and took out a night vision telescope to observe the entrance.
The entrance was locked by a large stainless steel door, behind which stood four armed guards. When someone entered or exited, they would take out a thin card and hand it to the guard for inspection. During the inspection, the two sides would ask and answer questions, as if they were exchanging secret codes.
"Banxia," the Devouring Tree said, taking out a new ice cream cone, "shall we go find someone to 'borrow' an entry card?"
"Um."
Banxia quickly found her target: a woman carrying a backpack alone, just two streets away.
She moved like a ghost, knocking the woman unconscious from behind and dragging her to the basement storage room of a nearby shop.
"Hey, wake up."
Banxia didn't hit hard; she only dripped a few drops of ice water on the woman's face, and the woman woke up.
When the woman saw her, a flash of murderous intent crossed her eyes, but she quickly lowered her eyelids and remained silent, as if resigned to her fate.
Banxia knew that this woman was not simple. How could someone who dared to go out at night to kill zombies and collect supplies be so weak?
She turned on her voice changer: "How about we make a deal? You give me your identification and tell me exactly how to get into the base, and I'll give you enough supplies to live on for a year."
She received the supplies from Xin Chong, so she didn't feel any remorse.
The woman's pupils dilated slightly, clearly very tempted: "Okay, but how can you guarantee you're not lying to me?"
Banxia sneered: "Do you have any other choice?"
She could have easily killed the woman and found the next target, exchanging her resources for her, but she's only doing it because they're both women.
The woman opened her mouth, then gave a bitter laugh: "You're right. My ID is in my right pocket. Entering and exiting the base requires a password, and the password is..."
Banxia was surprised that the woman was so sensible, and immediately raised an eyebrow and asked, "Where does Xin Chong's family live?"
He Fang: "Area A, No. 99".
Banxia gagged He Fang: "You can run away, but the supplies I promised you will be null and void if you do. I'll come back to untie you in an hour."
She put away her identification and left the underground storage room.
The Devouring Tree was somewhat puzzled: "Banxia, aren't you going to silence them?"
Banxia flashed into the space, took out a bottle of foundation in a very dark shade, and applied it to her face and neck: "No need, she's a pragmatic person."
She covered her fair skin and changed into Nanxing's clothes stained with zombie blood.
The clothes were a bit big, but there were plenty of people wearing ill-fitting clothes at that time, so no one would suspect anything.
The Devouring Tree immediately moved three meters away from her in disgust: "It stinks! Weren't you supposed to throw this dress away? Why are you still keeping it!"
Banxia also felt it smelled a bit bad, so she quickly found a mask, put a few drops of mentholatum on it, and put it on: "I picked it up from the trash can."
The trash can she was referring to was an empty shipping container that she bought for free, specifically for storing household waste.
The Devouring Tree immediately became even more disgusted: "You actually pick up trash!"
Banxia carefully examined her clothes, grabbed a bloodstained axe, and flashed out of the space: "Are you getting cocky? If there were such intact pieces of trash in my past life, there would be plenty of people scrambling to pick them up!"
The Devouring Tree was taken aback, recalling its life over the past few months: eating, drinking, playing...
It immediately said seriously, "It's not my fault, it's just that you humans know how to enjoy life too much!"
Banxia: ...Don't try to shift the blame!
She handed the card to the guard, who opened a notebook and noticed that it contained He Fang's name, age, address, and other specific information.
The Guardian: "The bright moonlight shines before my bed."
Banxia: "Red beans grow in the south."
Guard: "How much is a serving of eggplant and green beans?"
Banxia: "I saw a red turtle."
The guard handed Banxia her ID card: "Please come in."
Banxia put away her ID card and calmly walked into the base.
