271 Anonymous Love Letters
Wei fled home in a disheveled car, unaware of how ridiculous and adorable her actions were to the others, bringing Xu Ting's birthday party to an unprecedented climax.
Lei Dongsheng and Zhao Rui were laughing so hard they could barely stand up straight.
And Li Wei, surprisingly, became famous overnight. The boys who had previously been more reserved and hadn't approached her were now secretly rubbing their hands together, ready to pounce on this little lamb.
Lei Dongsheng glanced at Zhao Rui and said, "You'd better not try to take it from me, or I'll go back and tell your mom, my second aunt, that you have no brotherly loyalty." Lei Dongsheng knew better than anyone else that his cousin, despite his refined appearance, was actually a cunning and ruthless man.
Zhao Rui retorted without backing down: "Brothers are like clothes, don't try to intimidate me. Let's rely on our own abilities. Can't you be a man and have some backbone?"
Before anything even has been decided, these two are already discussing ownership of the prey.
Unaware of anything amiss, Little Sheep returned home. Her babies had just fallen asleep. She checked on them one by one, and asked Aunt Gao and Sister Zhang on duty about their general condition, how much they ate, drank, and how often they pooped. She would ask about these trivial matters twice a day, and everyone had gotten used to it. They had also developed a habit of paying close attention to changes in the three children's diet and bowel movements.
Seeing that the children were indeed sleeping soundly, Li Wei and Aunt Gao quietly left, leaving Sister Zhang to look after the children.
Li Wei and Aunt Gao went to the kitchen. Aunt Gao checked the soup simmering on the gas stove, while Li Wei took out fruit from the refrigerator and started peeling, chopping, and plating it. She asked Aunt Gao, "When did Da Luo come back? I saw his car parked outside."
Aunt Gao tested the soup and felt it was almost done. She said, "He just got back. I prepared a bath for him, but he said he had already eaten dinner and hadn't come downstairs since. When should we drink this soup?"
Li Wei went over and tasted it: "Hmm, it tastes good. Put two bowls on the tray for me, and I'll prepare the fruit."
Li Wei cut several kinds of fruit into a glass bowl, stuck them with a small silver fork, and then took the two bowls of medicinal chicken soup and a small dish of snacks that Aunt Gao had prepared, upstairs.
Upstairs, a man was wearing a loose-fitting, long, cotton, open-front, tie-front towel-like bathrobe. He sat at the large desk in the middle of the study, head down, reading a book. A smooth, firm chest was casually exposed, exuding a certain sexiness.
Li Wei placed the tray on the desk. She called to the student, "Here, drink this soup. I made it especially for you. It tastes pretty good."
The man looked up and glanced at her. His gaze then fell on Li Wei, who was bent over, using a small silver fork to skewer a small piece of watermelon and eating it with a bulging mouthful. Pink juice formed tiny beads, clinging to the corners of Li Wei's equally pink lips, their color alluring under the light. The man stared at her for a moment, his eyes slightly strange: "Who is this, whose name is unknown?"
Li Wei forked another small piece of apple and stuffed it into Da Luo's mouth. She also ate a piece of banana herself. As she ate, she thought, "Hmm, I don't really remember what country this is? What are they doing here? Can you give me a hint?"
Da Luo swallowed the apple: "Hmm. It should be in China. In this city, right? Probably your school, or your class, your major, or even your department. Is this hint accurate?"
Li Wei was taken aback, quite puzzled. She looked down at the manuscript paper, blinked a couple of times, and asked, confused, "What's wrong? What are you looking at? Does it have anything to do with me?" Could it be that her secret affair of having a child and living with someone had been exposed? Had she been caught?
Da Luo smiled maliciously: "Love letters, huh? I'm reading an anonymous love letter I wrote to you. By the way, you don't seem to have read it. Want to take a look together?"
Li Wei remembered and immediately perked up. She threw down her fork and squeezed through, saying, "Yes, of course I want it. This was written for me. I haven't even read it yet. You should be more careful in the future. You can only look at such private things with my permission. Otherwise, if someone finds out, where will I put my face? Everyone has self-respect."

Li Wei had already squeezed onto someone's lap and picked up the love letter that was three whole pages long. She was so excited! This was her first love letter ever, her virgin love letter. Today, she had finally broken her virginity.
Li Wei was overjoyed. This anonymous person had praised her to the skies, calling her the most beautiful woman imaginable, a beauty that could shame the flowers and eclipse the moon, a graceful and agile woman, with a face as fair as spring dawn, as white as jade, gentle, generous, beautiful, lovely, and intelligent—her dream lover!
Although the flowery language piled up on the page looked somewhat familiar, if it were praising someone else, she would still comment: "I suggest you express your true feelings more, and don't plagiarize and pile up famous quotes and poems to make up the numbers."
But this was a compliment to herself! These are the kinds of beautiful words and phrases used by top beauties, and now someone was actually using them on her! Li Wei couldn't help but be excited. In all her life, no one had ever recognized her beauty so clearly. A true friend! Oh, wow!
The author had been observing Li Wei's expression, and the more he looked, the uglier his face became. Finally, seeing Li Wei's face full of ecstasy and her forehead covered in stars, he couldn't hold back any longer: "This girl's writing is really bad. What's there to be happy about? It's obviously plagiarized. Besides, it's too outrageous, too fake, too..."
Li Wei was still basking in the moment when she heard Da Luo's criticism and became displeased: "You can't write as well as him. Is he just flattering me? Is he exaggerating the facts and lying? Is he just looking for trouble? He..."
When the man realized something was wrong, he immediately understood. He was just asking for trouble. The person who was unknown was flattering him so much, but he was being incredibly tactless and doing something stupid like exposing his shortcomings. Wasn't he just pushing Xiaoming towards that unknown person?
Does that mean he's not as famous as that damn person who dares to say he has good taste?
The man, seemingly quick to admit his mistake and unwilling to suffer for the sake of saving face, quickly changed his tune, grabbing Li Wei and smiling obsequiously: "No, no, I meant to say that his awful words were just meant to tarnish you. Look, in my heart, you're far more important than any of those beauties. Without you, how could I live? I simply couldn't survive. You are my sun, my air, my water, my soil, my life."
"I didn't realize you could photosynthesize. So, you're the green leaf, huh?" Li Wei thought the term "big" was less elegant than the real thing, but it was certainly practical.
Da Luo nodded vigorously: "Yes, yes, I'm the green leaf and you're the flower! I was born to highlight your beauty; we're one, inseparable! By the way, who is this anonymous person?" Why did all this commotion confuse this wife's brain?
Li Wei also remembered, "That's right, who admires her so much and understands her so well?"
She looked at the letter over and over again, and indeed there was no name left. Judging from the handwriting was pointless, as she wasn't very familiar with her classmates, especially the boys. She didn't even know the names of two of them.
Then I looked at the four characters "unknown" again. Four characters? Could it be a Japanese person?
No way, she's never been to the international student college, never even been there. She knows her charm can't possibly cross national borders.
Li Wei was pondering this when Da Luo spoke up again: "No targets at all? No way, there should always be some clues. For example, who always likes to hang around you? Who likes to sit in front of, behind, or to the left of you? Who likes to borrow your dictionary or pen? Who likes to chat with you or your deskmate? Who likes to stare at you without blinking or even flirt with you?" Da Luo was getting angrier and angrier, until finally he was practically gritting his teeth.
Li Wei hadn't really noticed. She sat there and thought about it carefully. Last semester, it seemed like Xiao Ning had a bit of a crush on her. This semester, she'd been so busy and hadn't paid attention. Who could it be?
It's not that I didn't have my suspicions about Xiao Ning, but looking at such a childish love letter, Xiao Ning is a person with both elegance and culture, not someone who could write such a love letter. It's obviously suspected of being a copy, a direct imitation.
Li Wei thought and thought, but she still couldn't come up with a goal.
But then my gaze fell on the words "unknown," which must mean someone I know? Besides Xu Ting and Tang Ying, I don't seem to know any other men.
Li Wei racked her brains but couldn't figure out who it was. Da Luo was also quite annoyed. It was like they were snatching food from his mouth, tearing flesh from his heart, trying to break up his family's relationship!
If one can tolerate something, then he will become a cuckold...
"I'll go to class with you tomorrow. I want to see who's so bold as to try and take advantage of you." These words, coming from Da Luo's mouth, were almost sinister.
Li Wei could almost hear the tiger grinding its teeth.
But it seemed so strange for her to bring someone along like this. She tried to persuade him, "It's not that serious, is it? What am I supposed to tell my classmates if you go? If they know you're there to spy on me and see if I'm having an affair, how am I supposed to get along at school?"
The man hugged Li Wei tightly, his attitude firm: "You don't need to worry about this. I have my own way. You go to class as usual, I'll go over by myself. Just pretend you didn't see me."
How could she pretend? Was he the kind of person with a weak presence?
But Li Wei suddenly became happy: "Hehe, tomorrow seems to be the weekend, I'm off, I won't be going to class, haha."
The man remained unmoved: "I'll go next Monday."
This guy really won't give up until he gets what he wants. Li Wei got anxious: "You're not allowed to go! I still have my pride. Xu Ting and the others all know you. If you go, what am I supposed to say? What am I supposed to say? It'll be too embarrassing. If you go, I won't go to school anymore. I'll drop out!"
A certain expert said, "I think it's a good idea, but I reckon my mother-in-law will be furious with me. You should go. I promise I won't make things difficult for you. You can trust me with my work; I've never messed up before."
Damn, this guy just can't stop bragging: "You've never failed, but you've fallen into the fishing net and been a fish that slipped through the net."

This was the most embarrassing and childish thing he had ever done in his life, and his wife was the witness to his incriminating act.
