280 Summer Vacation Day 1

280 Summer Vacation Day 1

With her face flushed, Li Wei, holding the little girl, led Li Lin and Ding Anni back first.

Sister Wei and Sister Zhang continued strolling outside with the two older children.

Aunt Gao and the new nanny have finished cleaning the nursery. After all, they usually clean and tidy it very carefully. The hygiene of the nursery is of utmost importance in the family. Not to mention Li Wei is keeping a close eye on it, Aunt Gao and Sister Wei are also very attentive and dare not be careless in the slightest.

So cleaning it up wasn't as complicated or laborious as I had imagined.

As soon as Aunt Gao saw Li Lin and Ding Anni arrive, she busied herself preparing fruit and snacks and greeting the guests.

Li Wei continued to hold the little girl, not handing her over to the nanny who was supposed to take over. She turned around and looked at Li Lin and Ding Anni, who were slumped on the sofa: "Weren't you quite energetic just now? How come you're all exhausted as soon as you come in?" Just thinking about it made her angry. She had been pretending to be a good girl while wandering around outside. If it weren't for these two girls, would she have been so ruthlessly exposed by the little girl as a married woman with a child?

Moreover, she was clearly a minor who was married and had children—how shameful! What's even more shameful is that she was the leader of the "over-birth guerrilla team"! She was too ashamed to go out anymore, but thankfully she was moving anyway.

Li Lin got up, picked up an apple from the fruit plate Aunt Gao brought over on the coffee table, took a bite, and mumbled, "You don't know, sis, my roommates and I played cards all night last night. I didn't even close my eyes for a second. Ding Anni dragged me away early this morning, and I practically tumbled onto the train and came straight to your house. Do you know how hard it was for me?"

Ding Anni, who was lying on the side, also had obvious dark circles under her eyes. She nodded and said, "That's right. All the girls in our dorm went out to watch movies all night. I didn't sleep either. Now that the exams are finally over, we have to relax. We haven't had breakfast yet. Please let us eat something to fill our stomachs. I'm really hungry. After I eat, I need to catch up on my sleep. Staying up all night and being hungry is seriously affecting my appearance."

Li Lin picked up another apple: "Why don't you eat some fruit to fill your stomach first, or have a banana?"

Li Wei shook her head helplessly, guessing that if she didn't have a family to support, she would also be living this kind of decadent yet happy life.

Without wasting any time arguing with them, he directly instructed Aunt Gao to quickly prepare something delicious and fast so the two of them could eat and rest. It was as if they had escaped from a refugee camp.

Li Wei sat in the dining room next to the kitchen, holding her little girl. She used a spoon to scrape apple puree from an apple and fed it to the girl. The little girl ate happily, giggling joyfully.

Aunt Gao had already started preparing lunch. Da Luo and Li Lianhui had both called earlier, saying they wouldn't be coming home for lunch. The remaining women wouldn't eat much, so it was easy to prepare.

However, Li Wei wasn't idle either. While feeding the baby, she discussed it with Aunt Gao. They decided to clean up the north-facing guest room on the first floor so that Li Lin and Ding Anni could share it. The previous arrangement of each person having a sunny room was gone.

The rooms are upstairs and downstairs. Aunt Gao has a cleaning lady clean them almost every day. So there's no need to tidy up; you can move in as soon as you bring your belongings.

Upstairs is basically occupied by Li Wei and Da Luo. Only one room was reserved for Li Lianhui on one side. There aren't many rooms available. Downstairs, the largest and best-equipped room is also the nursery. Aunt Gao lives in the sunny room next to the nursery.

As for guests, only the two rooms on the north-facing, shady side are available.

Because fewer family members came after the New Year and the weather was getting warmer day by day, Li Wei didn't pay much attention. Who would have thought that Li Lin would come so quickly?

Aunt Gao was incredibly efficient; the food was served quickly, and Li Wei and the others ate lunch together. Wei Jie returned with her child. Now that there were many people in the house, Aunt Gao would usually wait until Li Wei and the others had finished eating before eating with a few of her staff, leaving one person behind to look after the child.

Li Lin and Ding Anni took showers, one upstairs and one downstairs, and almost simultaneously pounced on the big bed in Li Wei's room: "Phew—Sis, your bed is still the most comfortable."

Li Wei didn't stand on ceremony with her: "Hurry up, a room has been prepared for you downstairs. Go sleep downstairs. And you, Ding Anni, you both go too. This bed is my territory."

Li Wei sent the two of them downstairs. Since it was summer, the room on the shady side was cooler. After eating and drinking their fill, they were both so sleepy that they collapsed onto the bed and fell asleep immediately, without having time to be picky.

Aunt Gao had delivered their backpacks to their room beforehand. She asked Li Wei about them, and Li Wei said not to worry about it and to wait until they got up. Who knew if there were any unspeakable things inside? She didn't want to upset the two of them, but she guessed that most of the time it was unwanted stuff, and dirty clothes were also possible.

Otherwise, why would both of them wear her pajamas? These two are not exactly easy to manage or save money on.

After being disturbed by Li Lin and Ding Anni, Li Wei lost her mood to go out and decided to spend the afternoon with the children in the nursery, and take a nap when she got tired.

But she hadn't played with the child for long when Aunt Gao told her there was a phone call from someone named Lei Dongsheng. Without thinking, Li Wei said, "Tell him I'm not here. I've gone out and don't know when I'll be back."

A little while later, Aunt Gao came again: "He said he asked if you wanted an oil portrait painted. If you did, contact him. He left his phone number."

A portrait? An oil painting.

I have a strong impression of Li Wei. Many famous foreign paintings are portraits of women, who look plump and beautiful, with a tranquil and serene beauty that is quite alluring.

However, if we really want to draw, there are plenty of people at the art academy. Why do we have to find that Lei Dongsheng? That guy means trouble. Da Luo would go crazy.

So without thinking, Li Wei told Aunt Gao to throw the phone number in the trash to prevent the possibility of dialing the wrong number.

We had just finished dealing with this when Aunt Gao came over again: "The child's grandmother called."

Li Wei sighed and secretly prayed that it wouldn't be a matter of sending them home for summer vacation.

Unfortunately, Buddha, God, and the angels were all on summer vacation and didn't hear Li Wei's prayers.

Zhao Chunyan's loud voice pounded against Li Wei's eardrums through the microphone: "Xiaoming, I heard from Jianhua that you're on summer vacation. When are you coming home for summer vacation? Your dad, your grandma Luo, and I miss you and the kids, and your parents too. We were chatting yesterday and we were saying that you should come back these days since you're on summer vacation, and your maternal grandma too."

In short, her mother-in-law, representing all members of both families, as well as current and temporary employees, and even the two newly purchased dogs of the Luo family, warmly welcomed Li Wei and Da Luo to bring the children back for summer vacation.

Zhao Chunyan talked for a long time, assuring Li Wei that everything was prepared at home. In the end, Li Wei could only weakly reply, "Mom, let's wait until Da Luo comes back tonight. He still has his internship to do, and he probably won't be able to go back until it's over. Don't worry, we will definitely go back as soon as possible."

Less than two hours after Luo's family hung up the phone, her maternal grandmother called again, much like her mother-in-law, representing the entire family from their hometown, eagerly hoping that Li Wei's whole family would come back to stay.

Just like her mother-in-law's reply, she finally managed to calm her grandmother down and hang up the phone. A little while later, her aunt called again.

Li Wei answered the phone -_-

Fortunately, her aunt was an outstanding representative of the new era of women and a successful businesswoman. She wasn't so long-winded and immediately asked, "Xiaoming, when are you coming back?"

Li Wei readily agreed, "Auntie, please let us think about it. Let's wait until Da Luo finishes his internship." That's great; her aunt was so concise.

Cheng Fei: "Okay, that's fine. I have tomorrow off, so I'll bring Dingding and your uncle to your place for a couple of days."

Li Wei -_-

It seems this one came straight at us.

After hanging up with her aunt, Li Wei immediately realized that there weren't enough rooms available.

Fortunately, we just bought a house, so my aunt and uncle can stay at my cousin's house. It's spacious enough. Oh, and we can also consider letting Li Lin and Ding Anni move in with us. If they don't like it here, they can leave and move to the other place as soon as possible.

That evening, as expected, Aunt Cheng Fei and Ding Anping drove over with the child.

Also in the car were Li Wei's maternal grandparents and Cheng Fei's parents.

This suddenly became quite lively. First, in the nursery, a group of adults and children rushed in to look at the babies, commenting on how much they had grown and how much they had gained weight, completely ignoring Li Wei.

When Da Luo returned in the evening, he brought Zou Yulong along, making Li Wei's dining room unusually crowded. There weren't enough seats, so Li Lin and Ding Anni ended up eating on the living room sofa while watching TV. The two of them seemed quite carefree and happy.

Li Wei wasn't much better off. She quickly ate a bite with Ding Ding before taking him to play in the nursery.

The restaurant became a haven for adults. With Grandpa Cheng, Ding Anping, and Da Luo present, it was quite lively. Da Luo even brought a case of beer, which made the atmosphere even more enthusiastic.

That evening, Da Luo drove his aunt, grandfather, and curious Li Lin and Ding Anni to their cousin's house to stay.

Since they were relatives, the things inside were basically untouched. Even the smallest kitchen utensils, pots and pans, were left behind, not to mention the bedding. Anyway, the Liu family rarely stayed there, so it was basically like new. Li Wei and Da Luo didn't plan to move in. They just asked Aunt Gao to send someone to clean it up periodically.

Now it comes in handy.

Although Li Wei didn't particularly like this place, the Liu family's wealth and status were undeniable, so their house was naturally quite nice. Cheng Fei also thought it was good, much more stylish than her sister's house.

Li Lin and Ding Anni also found their own rooms. The old man and old lady, Da Luo, also helped them settle in. As for Aunt Cheng Fei, they didn't need to worry about her; she would take care of everything herself. Anyway, she didn't lack anything, so there was no need for them to take care of her.

Da Luo arranged a time with his aunt to pick them up the next day, and then went back home.

Although his aunt also had a car, it was dark and she might not remember the route. Besides, the car was already crowded with people, so Da Luo simply told his aunt to wait for him to come and pick her up.

As he drove back, the man was secretly relieved that he had bought the house, otherwise he would have had to stay in a hotel.

However, once the houses over there are all ready, there will be enough room for relatives from both families to come and stay.
