Due to the temporary shortage of management personnel at the two foreign-funded enterprises, the Ganhe Prefectural Party Committee and Administrative Office dispatched Pan Yunping, Deputy Director of the Regional Planning Commission and former Director of Factory 226, as interim head of the preparatory work. With Li Jiawei's approval, he assumed the role of acting director. Upon his arrival, Pan Yunping, after consulting with Li Jiawei, brought with him a dozen management personnel. Six technical personnel also arrived from Shanghai Factory No. 8. Based on the production technology and equipment provided by Li Jiawei, both parties worked out the factory layout and plan. After the first round of funding of one million yuan arrived, construction began on June 16th. Production was expected to begin on New Year's Day 1987.
The instant noodle factory was called Honghua Food Factory. The factory director was Sun Zongta and the deputy director was Zhang Xuetong. Seven management cadres were selected from Qianhe Food Factory and six technical cadres were selected from the county flour mill to form the management team.
The construction of Honghua Food Factory could begin after the planning was completed. Yang Zhiwu's construction company's early project in Honghua Economic Development Zone was just in the final stage, and Sun Zongda hurriedly pulled it to the construction site to start organizing the construction.
The region attaches great importance to the recruitment issue and allocates the recruitment quotas of the two factories to seven counties and cities. Each county and city recruits the best educated and qualified employees. Then, during the summer school holidays, the recruited workers are given two weeks of quality and military training. Some technical positions are sent to related enterprises for on-the-job training. We strive to complete the factory construction, equipment installation, and personnel training without a probation period, and start work as a sprint!
It has been more than half a month since I left Honghua Township, and some changes have taken place in the township.
The first batch of piglets have grown to over 250 kilograms and have reached the standard for slaughter, but the households are reluctant to sell them. These pigs are so easy to raise, they eat little and grow fast. If they are raised for a few more days and grow more meat, won’t they fetch more money if they are sold?
There is also a feed-to-meat ratio in pig farming, and an optimal time and weight for market release. If you continue to raise the pig to 300 kilograms, it seems that the pig is bigger and can be sold for more money. In fact, before 250 kilograms, it takes three kilograms of feed to grow one kilogram of meat, and after that, it may take four kilograms of feed to grow one kilogram of meat.
Many farmers say that if you develop feelings for your pigs, you have to sell them. If you want to make money, you can't consider the emotional aspect, you have to consider the economic aspect, right?
Sun Zongyuan mobilized cadres to go to the villages and visit pig farmers' homes to publicize the campaign. Many people did the math and it was indeed true. If the pigs are sold early and replenished early, wouldn't the additional pigs still fetch more money?
The first batch of Landrace pigs were delivered to the meat processing plant in June. The price of the pigs sold was indeed one cent higher than that of the local black pigs on the market, which suddenly increased people's enthusiasm for raising pigs to an unprecedented level.
The county's "Million Pigs to Get Rich Project" has also started. The launching ceremony was held in Honghua Township. Branch secretaries from 21 townships and 200 demonstration villages in the county and more than 500 representatives of interested breeders attended the meeting.
The first phase of the meeting was to visit three family farms, including Li Ercuizi's, and listen to their explanations on the operability and economics of pig farming. Then we visited the scientific, large-scale, and integrated breeding technology of Yuanda Pig Farm. Yuanda Farm is now well-known:
The province's largest Landrace three-way pig breeding base now has more than 1,200 sows, more than 3,000 piglets, and 1,800 fattening pigs. In normal years, it can provide the society with piglets and many commercial pigs.
Under the guidance of the Agricultural College, pig breeding science involves creating a file for each pig, especially sows, which are individually numbered and have their paternal and maternal lines clearly recorded on a computer. A health record is also created for each pig, recording its vaccination, diagnosis and treatment, disinfection, weight, and diet.
The most scientific feeding method. From birth through the piglet stage, adult pig, sow infancy, breeding sow, and pregnant sow, different feeds are used to meet the nutritional needs of the pig, so that the pig grows healthily and quickly, with a high lean meat rate and good economic returns.
The facility offers excellent one-stop service. The entire facility is divided into gilt growth areas, sow gestation areas, sow lactation areas, piglet areas, and fattening areas. Every day, dedicated personnel clean the pens, removing feces and urine that goes to the manure treatment area, where it is fermented into biogas for power generation. The remaining solid matter is processed into biofertilizer for sale.
Each delegate at the conference took a washed cucumber and ate it with a crunch. They felt that the cucumbers grown with biofertilizer made from pig manure did taste better than ordinary cucumbers. As a result, the biofertilizer from the pig farm suddenly became a best-seller. The cucumber planting area in Anyang County expanded unintentionally, and the high quality became famous. Anyang County also registered the "Anyang Cucumber" local high-quality agricultural product brand, which sold well in Beijing, Shanghai and other places. But that's another story.
Township head Zhao Yuncheng introduced typical experiences on behalf of Honghua Township.
Li Ercuizi made a typical introduction on behalf of individual breeders, especially the township’s policies, services and economic benefits. He expressed his gratitude for the support of the township government and planned to continue to expand the scale of breeding.
Wu Shaojie, the person in charge of Yuanda Feed Factory, introduced the production capacity of the feed factory. It now processes 400 tons of mixed feed per month. The production capacity will continue to be expanded in the second half of the year, and it is expected to reach a monthly production capacity of 1,600 tons in the first half of next year, which can meet the breeding needs of 1 million live pigs.
Yang Weiguo, the person in charge of Yuanda Meat Products Factory, introduced the company's processing and promised to buy as many live pigs as possible from Anyang County. The price would be one cent higher per pound than the market price, and the profit would be passed on to the farmers.
The county leader made a speech and made arrangements for the breeding of Sanyuan Changbai pigs in the county. Each township has a task and each village has a goal. The goal is to build the country's largest pig breeding base with an annual output of one million pigs within three years.
This year's task is for each township to raise 500 sows and 1,000 commercial pigs.
The county has set up a leading group to promote the work with the county governor as the group leader, and included pig farming work in the comprehensive assessment. Those who fail to complete the task will be vetoed!
