Chapter 35
"Princess, the matter has been taken care of."
"good"
Lin Ce looked at the princess flipping through a book and thought of the day they first met.
The daily training and physical pain kept him awake. He watched as his snoring companion put on a coat and strolled around the yard.
A delicate voice rang out, and he immediately went out to check. He saw the Second Princess lying on the side, clutching a book. Lin Ce hurriedly ran over.
"Princess, are you alright?"
It looks like they fell.
"Would you like me to help you up?"
The princess nodded.
"No, it seems I can't walk anymore."
"Then...what should we do?"
"Why don't you carry me to the palace?"
These words sent a chill down Lin Ce's spine.
"Absolutely not! The princess is of noble birth, while I am merely a lowly imperial guard."
"Then... I'll wait here until dawn."
"ah?"
The princess squatted down and quietly sat down to read.
Lin Ce mustered his courage.
"Then we'll offend the princess."
Lin Ce bent his knees and half-squatted, his arms passing under her knees and back, his palms firmly supporting her waist, his fingertips even able to touch the warm waistline beneath her clothes. With a little effort, he lifted her up horizontally.
The princess wrapped her arms around his neck, her nose brushing against his collar, carrying a faint scent of ink.
Lin Ce's steps were steady, his arms did not sway at all, and his warm breath came through the fabric of his clothes.
Is it heavy?
Lin Ce's body trembled slightly, then he calmly replied.
"The princess isn't heavy at all, I... I don't feel anything."
The person in his arms chuckled secretly, and Lin Ce sensed it too, quickening his pace as he arrived inside the hall in no time.
"Take me to the study."
"yes"
Lin Ce kicked the door open, placed the princess on the cushion, and then lit the candles.
Only then did he get a good look at the princess's face.
His eyebrows were shaped like shallow crescent moons, without any deliberate drawing, only revealing a natural black color. His eyes were almond-shaped, with the corners slightly drooping, and his pupils were like obsidian in a clear spring. His gaze was soft and emotionless.
The princess noticed Lin Ce staring at her and smiled slightly.
Her eyes curved into small crescent moons at the corners, and her eyelashes were long but not thick, gently fluttering with tenderness.
Lin Ce could clearly see his reflection in her eyes. His fingers unconsciously clenched the hem of his clothes, and even his breathing slowed down. He felt as if he were frozen in place, his heart pounding wildly, and even his fingertips felt numb.
The princess waved her hand in front of Lin Ce's eyes, and he finally realized what was happening and immediately knelt down.
"It was my fault, Your Highness. Please punish me."
The princess gently supported Lin Ce's arm.
"Didn't you just help me? Get up."
Lin Ce stood up, keeping his head down and not daring to look again.
"Your subordinate will immediately fetch the imperial physician for the princess."
"Wait a moment"
"What's wrong?"
"It's too late for them, let's not trouble them."
"How can this be?"
"Go to the cabinet, there's still some 'Huoluosan' left inside, bring it to me."
"yes"
Lin Ce brought the medicine and handed it to the princess, then silently turned away.
"It seems a bit too high for me, can you help me?"
"ah?"
Lin Ce swallowed hard, his heart pounding wildly.
"Princess, this...this is against the rules."
"That's true. Given my current status, it's reasonable that no one cares."
Lin Ce suddenly turned around.
"No, there are certainly people who care about the princess."
The princess smiled slightly and placed the medicine in Lin Ce's hand.
Lin Ce closed his eyes, took off the princess's shoes, and gently began to massage her.
With his eyes closed, his other senses were further dulled, and his body temperature began to rise uncontrollably. This was the first time he had such intimate contact with a woman.
"Alright, Princess."
Lin Ce only dared to open his eyes after putting his legs down.
Thank you so much.
"Your Highness, there's no need for thanks. I'll take my leave now."
"Can you come and help me apply the medicine tomorrow?"
"Really?"
Lin Ce blurted it out without thinking, then realized it was inappropriate and lowered his head.
"Then I'll wait for you in the study tomorrow."
"good"
The next day, Lin Ce sneaked into the study while his companions were asleep. He found the princess asleep in front of the desk. Lin Ce didn't dare to go near her and just stood at a distance and watched silently.
Fortunately, the princess woke up after a while, rubbed her sleepy eyes, and said softly.
"Sorry, I fell asleep."
"No, Princess, it is indeed hard work reading every day. I have only just arrived myself."
"Then come over here."
Lin Ce kept his eyes closed and gently massaged the princess.
"By the way, what's your name?"
My subordinate's name is Lin Ce.
A good name
"You flatter me, Princess."
"Daily patrols must be exhausting."
"For the sake of the Empress's comfort, I'm not tired at all."
"And for me?"
"Wh...what?"
Lin Ce didn't hear the princess's reply, so he quietly opened one eye, only to find the princess's face so close to his.
Lin Ce immediately took a few steps back.
"Princess..."
"What? Are you scared by my face?"
Lin Ce shook his head.
"The princess's face is beautiful."
In the following days, Lin Ce would come to the study every night to massage the princess.
He just doesn't need to close his eyes.
The princess took out a handkerchief and wrapped it around Lin Ce's neck.
"Princess, what does this mean?"
"I'm afraid you'll peek."
Lin Ce smiled to himself, but with this handkerchief, he could now secretly peek without being discovered.
In a hazy dream, the princess sat at the table, her fingertips turning the pages of a book. Suddenly, she looked up and gazed at me, her snow-white skin slowly drawing closer, a smile hidden in her eyes.
Lin Ce didn't dare to move, only feeling his cheeks slowly burning, and he could clearly see his Adam's apple bob slightly.
The princess chuckled softly, her gentle fingers caressing his Adam's apple as she quietly approached Lin Ce's ear.
"Spying again."
"I……"
The pressure of his fingers suppressed his words.
"Can you only look at me from now on?"
Lin Ce felt his mind go blank, greedily inhaling the princess's ink fragrance, and nodded.
"That's good"
The princess untied her handkerchief and slid down the path to the ground.
The princess's face was very close.
See?
The ambiguous atmosphere grew stronger in the candlelight. Lin Ce's gaze slid from her eyes to the corner of her lips, and then back to her eyes.
The princess looked at him with a smile, her fingertips slowly moving from his Adam's apple to his lips, gently caressing them.
"Lin Ce is really handsome."
Warm breaths escaped from his lips.
The movement of his hands suddenly stopped.
"It's done."
Lin Ce nodded awkwardly.
"It seems like everything's almost done. Thank you, you don't need to come again."
Lin Ce's heart sank instantly, as if he had been doused with a bucket of cold water. He didn't dare to say anything and could only silently retreat.
During the days that followed, I always hoped to catch a glimpse of her.
Half a year passed, and the princess rarely left her study. He realized that he might never have the chance to see her again. One night, he couldn't sleep and was admiring the moon in the courtyard when he heard footsteps behind him. Lin Ce turned around and saw the princess standing at the door in a pink dress. Lin Ce rubbed his eyes in disbelief and realized that he was not dreaming. He immediately ran towards her.
"Why is the princess here?"
"Am I here to find someone?"
Who could she be looking for in the middle of the night? Seeing her peek inside twice, Lin Ce felt a little disappointed.
So they weren't looking for me after all.
The princess saw the dejection written all over Lin Ce's face and smiled softly.
"Lin Ce"
"What's wrong, Princess?"
"It's a bit cold, can you carry me back to the palace?"
Lin Ce immediately nodded, took off his coat and covered the princess with it, then picked her up in his arms.
Before long, they returned to the house.
The princess's room was decorated in a simple and elegant style, without many ornate decorations.
The princess took off her coat.
Thank you for your coat.
"fine"
Lin Ce was about to take the coat when the princess pulled him away, and their eyes met.
"It smells so good!"
"I...I just washed it."
I wasn't talking about the coat.
"Then... Princess, are you right?"
It's you.
"I...I shower every day too."
"Lin Ce is different from other men."
"Um"
"How's your martial arts skill?"
"I am also very skilled in martial arts."
How good is it?
"One of the best in the team."
"That's amazing!"
The princess suddenly loosened her coat, and Lin Ce felt a sense of relief.
He stared at the princess's retreating figure, lost in thought.
"Would Lin Ce be willing to help me?"
"I'll do anything for the princess."
Lin Ce blurted it out without thinking.
Every night, Lin Ce would gather intelligence on the various palaces for the princess, and after reading it, the princess would silently burn it all.
"Lin Ce did a really good job."
"It is Lin Ce's honor to serve the princess."
Lin Ce still remembers the first time the princess kissed him; it was an ordinary night.
Suddenly she closed the book, approached him step by step, squatted down in front of him, gently brushed away the stray hairs in front of his eyes with her fingertips, and pressed her warm palm against his cheek. The touch, warm with her body temperature, made him tremble slightly. The next second, the princess gently pressed her lips against his, her breath carrying a faint fragrance of tea, which wafted into his nose.
Lin Ce was frozen in place by this action and dared not move at all.
Do I have to take the initiative?
Lin Ce's heart pounded. He gripped her waist and pinned her against the desk, leaning down with an irresistible force. His lips pressed heavily against hers, hot and urgent, trembling slightly. His hands moved up her back, his fingertips clutching her hair as he kissed her deeply and intensely. She clung to Lin Ce's shoulders like a little white rabbit at his mercy. Lin Ce dared not make any further moves, slowly loosening his grip. Only then did the princess fall into his arms, breathing softly. Lin Ce held her gently, afraid she would slip away at any moment.
Lin Ce's kiss was really deep.
"I'm sorry, Princess, I have no experience."
"Is it available now?"
"Um"
"If you do well next time, there will be a reward."
"Thank you, Princess."
