Chapter 45 Catching a Wild Rabbit

When they arrived at the village, the villagers saw Song Fanxing holding a big, fat rabbit in her arms and looked on with envy.

"Da Rong's wife, you're amazing! You caught such a big wild rabbit."

Fang Jie laughed and replied, "I was lucky. The rabbit was injured, which is how I caught it. If it had been well, I wouldn't have been able to catch it."

Upon hearing that the rabbit had delivered itself to their doorstep, the villagers were even more envious.

"Oh dear, when did a rabbit come and bump into my door?"

"Oh my god, I was hoping a wild boar would run over my door and knock me unconscious."

Song Fanxing hugged the big, fat rabbit, her short legs quickly following Fang Jie.

"That's right, they get cuter as they grow."

"She's fair-skinned, with big, bright eyes that blink rapidly, and long, curled eyelashes."

When Song Yaohua got home, he saw the big rabbit in Song Fanxing's arms and ran over excitedly.

"Hey sis, did you catch a big rabbit?"

Song Fanxing smiled and nodded. Silly Second Brother was asking a pointless question.

Song Yaohui's eyes lit up as he took the rabbit from his sister's hand.

Looking at Fang Jie expectantly, he asked, "Mom, are we having rabbit meat for dinner?"
