Chapter 327 The Dilapidated Temple

While He Yuhan and Han Yixian were having dinner, Han Xiao was worried about his eldest son.

He already knew that his eldest son had found He Yuhan's whereabouts, but his eldest son actually stayed there with He Yuhan to investigate to the end.

He had to admit that his future daughter-in-law was quite daring, as she was not afraid of any danger and wanted to wipe out the group that had kidnapped her, and his eldest son even cooperated with her.

It's true what they say, birds of a feather flock together; these two are a match made in heaven, both incredibly audacious. I wonder how their son managed to hide his true nature.

Now that things have come to this point, there's nothing he can do but keep an eye on things from the outside, so he can immediately send people to support them if there's any major commotion.

Xi Chuan, the man surnamed Li who bribed He Yuhan, is actually named Xi Chuan. He also learned that Han Yixian had arrived in Kyoto.

He was extremely surprised that Han Yixian had grasped He Yuhan's whereabouts so quickly; otherwise, he wouldn't have arrived in Kyoto so soon. No wonder he's known as the "Jade-Faced Zhuge Liang"—he's truly remarkable.

Having been in hiding in Kyoto for many years, he was naturally very familiar with the name Han Yixian. He also knew quite a bit about Han Yixian's past deeds. Therefore, he never dared to underestimate Han Yixian.

Now that he knows Han Yixian has gone to Kyoto, he is worried that Han Yixian will soon find He Yuhan's whereabouts.

Because he knew the strength of the Han family, and that his father, Han Xiao, would not stand idly by if Han Yi returned first, their situation would be very dangerous if the Han family's influence were to join in.

It seems we need to transfer He Yuhan as soon as possible and arrange for her to be sent back to China.

So he drove to the place where He Yuhan was being held at night, intending to transfer her to the secret warehouse.

That place is extremely well-hidden; even the Han family wouldn't be able to find it. If we just hold on for two more days, the ship there will be ready, and we can send He Yuhan and some of the most important items from the secret warehouse back to China.

Xi Chuan and two other men arrived at the farmhouse courtyard at night. The man with the mustache immediately sensed something was up and asked nervously, "Why are you here? Are you here to take He Yuhan away?"

Xi Chuan said, "The situation has changed. Han Yi has come to Kyoto first, and he may already know that He Yuhan is in Kyoto. If he asks his father, Han Xiao, for help, and the Han family's influence gets involved, we will be in great danger."

For safety's sake, we'll take He Yuhan to the secret warehouse today. It's a well-hidden place; even if the Han family had incredible abilities, they wouldn't be able to find it.

"Hurry up and get ready, tidy up this place, don't leave any clues, and then wake He Yuhan up. We need to leave as soon as possible, lest something goes wrong."

The man with the mustache quickly agreed, packed his belongings, and went to the room where He Yuhan was being held to wake her up.

Upon hearing the commotion outside, He Yuhan immediately said to Han Yixian, "Brother Han, there's a noise outside, I have to go out."

After saying that, He Yuhan disappeared from the dining table.

Han Yixian was somewhat taken aback when he saw that He Yuhan's seat opposite him was empty. The person who had just been eating and laughing with him had vanished in the blink of an eye; anyone would be startled.

Han Yi first calmed his pounding heart and let out a long breath. Having a wife like this had truly put his heart to the test, but thankfully he could withstand the impact. He'd get used to it eventually. After all, what could he do when his wife was so unique?

Then Han Yixian became worried about He Yuhan, wondering what other unexpected events might occur.

He Yuhan had just gotten into bed and prepared when the door to the room was opened.

Then He Yuhan heard the mustachioed man shout, "Miss He, wake up, we're about to head to another place."

He Yuhan pretended to be a little groggy from being just woken up, rubbed her eyes, yawned, and said, "It's so late and we still have to travel. I'm so sleepy. I'll get up now."

After saying that, He Yuhan lifted the blanket and sat up.

Suddenly, the mustachioed man sniffed the air carefully and muttered, "Strange, why does it smell like meat? Am I hungry?"

He Yuhan secretly breathed a sigh of relief. This guy's nose is too sharp. That was close; she almost got caught, thankfully she reacted quickly.

He Yuhan was quickly taken to a car by this group of people. Then the car drove off in the darkness in an unknown direction.

The car set off in the middle of the night and traveled for more than two hours. As dawn approached, they refueled with the gasoline they had brought and continued on their way.

Because they had been traveling in complete darkness, He Yuhan had no sense of direction and had no idea where she was being led. Now that it was daylight, all she knew was that they were heading east.

Soon they arrived at an abandoned, dilapidated temple. The temple looked quite large, but it was abandoned and surrounded by weeds.

After driving around the dilapidated and collapsed walls of the ruined temple for a while, they drove the car through a gap in the wall and into the temple grounds.

Only then did He Yuhan realize through the car window that the dilapidated temple was quite large, with very tall halls. She couldn't understand how such a large temple could have been abandoned and left without a single person.

The courtyard in front of the temple's main hall was overgrown with weeds, and the main hall's gate was dilapidated. It was clear that no one had tended to the place for a long time, and it must have been abandoned for quite some time.

The car drove into the yard, then turned into a passageway and stopped.

After the car stopped, Xi Chuan got out and let He Yuhan and the others get out as well. They took out the packages they had brought from the car.

He said to the man with the mustache, "Xinliang, go and drive the car into the garage and hide it."

The man with the mustache said, "Yes, Mr. Nishikawa."

At this moment, He Yuhan also learned that the man who claimed to be surnamed Li was named Xichuan, or perhaps Xichuan. It did sound like a surname from Japan.

Moreover, judging from the surroundings, this place is very likely one of their secret hideouts, even having a secret garage.

Xi Chuan led He Yuhan and two other people to a smaller hall at the end of the corridor.

Once inside, He Yuhan discovered that it was a small Buddhist shrine, probably used by wealthy families for worship in the past.

Inside the Buddhist hall, there is a Buddha statue that is taller than a person. The statue is covered with dust and cobwebs because it has not been cleaned for a long time.

Nishikawa walked to the Buddha statue and reached his hand behind it. Soon the Buddha statue began to move, revealing a door behind it.

After a while, the man with the mustache caught up.

Nishikawa then took out a key, opened the door behind the Buddha statue, and let the others go in first. He then went in last and put the Buddha statue back in its original position.

At this moment, Nishikawa was holding a flashlight, shining it forward as he walked. The others followed behind.
