The third leader immediately sensed something was wrong. To be able to ambush so many people, they must have poisoned the drinks or food; otherwise, this wouldn't have happened.
He quickly checked his elder brothers' pulses; they seemed to be alright, just unconscious. He took the water that had been brought and splashed it on their faces, but they still didn't react; it was clear they had been drugged with a strong sedative.
The third leader suddenly remembered something and said, "Go and check on those women we captured today."
Immediately, someone ran to check.
The third leader had a premonition: the fact that so many people had been drugged and that someone had deliberately set fire to the warehouse told him that someone was sabotaging things in secret.
Those women probably ran away too.
Sure enough, someone soon came to report, "Third Master, those women have all run away, they've disappeared without a trace."
Upon hearing this, the third leader became extremely anxious and quickly called out to his men, "Let's hurry to the dock and make sure they don't take all the boats away."
If they lose all their boats, how will they ever make money again?
The remaining people who were still conscious panicked when they heard what the third leader said, and they all followed him and ran towards the sea.
Soon they arrived at the dock by the sea. Looking at the ships moored in the water, the third leader breathed a sigh of relief. The equipment was still there; they could still do business and make money in the future.
Suddenly someone shouted, "Third Master, two boats are missing. Those women must have escaped by boat. Let's hurry and chase after them!"
The third leader glared at the man and said, "Which way are you going to chase them? Do you even know which way they ran? There aren't many of us who are conscious right now. Who's going to chase them?"
Everyone fell silent upon hearing this, and their heads drooped.
The third leader secretly believed that the troubles at home must be related to the women they had arrested that day, and wondered if someone was coming to rescue them.
The third leader grew increasingly uneasy. Had their island been exposed?
