"Listen to your mother, go and put down your bundle. If you really want to go back to your parents' home, have a meal first before you go back."
Then, speaking in a volume just loud enough for Wang Xuemei to hear, he muttered, "I can't let my grandson go hungry at his maternal grandparents' house with you, can I?"
Wang Xuemei had originally intended to let it go, but upon hearing Wang Shufang's words, she immediately became angry again: "Starving at Grandma's house? Only you could say that. When I took Xiang Wen back to his grandma's house, when has his grandma ever mistreated him? Do you think everyone is like you?"
As she spoke, she carried Yun Xiangwen and hurried outside.
