Yun Duo was certain she hadn't eaten mushrooms, and she was also certain she had just eaten a cooked wild egg. She pinched her thigh hard, and the pain was palpable... It really wasn't a hallucination!
The 'cooked' wild egg was indeed still bouncing around.
"Is this a ghost?" Yun Duo murmured. Suddenly, she shuddered, a chill running down her spine, and even the surrounding air seemed to turn cold.
To be honest, Yun Duo is a very timid person, especially afraid of ghosts and monsters. In her past life, she never watched horror movies, or even ghost-themed comedies. So... this strange egg really scared her to death.

As she spoke, she suddenly snapped to attention, quickly grabbed a stick from the nearby woodpile, gripped it with both hands, and pointed it at the still-bouncing 'egg', saying, "You, you don't come any closer... I, I'm telling you, I, I'm not afraid of you. You, you come any closer, and I'll hit you, I'll hit you..." As she spoke, she waved the stick wildly a few times.
To everyone's surprise, the egg suddenly bounced off the ground, like a bouncy ball, and headed straight for the clouds.

The creature's jaws were similar to those of an ant. As soon as the eggshell cracked, it began to munch away at it. In just a few minutes, the eggshell was completely gone. The little thing gave a human-like burp, then flapped its wings and flew towards the clouds, looking quite cheerful.
However, Yun Duo didn't sense how happy the 'wasp' was. As soon as it flew towards her, she cried out "Oh my god!" and continued to squat on the ground, covering her head.
The wasp landed on Yun Duo's hair, which resembled dry straw. Feeling something fall on her head, Yun Duo felt a chill run down her spine and her whole body stiffened. The next moment, a child's voice rang in Yun Duo's ear: "Master, Master, don't be afraid, Xiao Jiu won't hurt you, Xiao Jiu will protect you!"
Although the voice was childlike, it sounded warm and trustworthy.
Even so, it took Yun Duo a while to mentally prepare herself before cautiously asking, "Who, who are you?" Actually, Yun Duo originally wanted to ask if you were a ghost or a monster, but after thinking about it, she didn't dare to ask.
"I'm Xiao Jiu," the childish voice replied, sounding somewhat puzzled.
“Okay…” Yunduo swallowed cautiously, then asked, “So what exactly are you? Um… why do you call me master?”
"Me? I'm an insectoid ant-wasp, so I guess I'm... your pet?" the child said uncertainly. After a pause, he added, "No, I'm not a pet, I'm your guardian knight!" As he spoke, he flew to the cloud and raised one of his forewings.
Yun Duo still felt a little confused but was no longer afraid. She slowly stood up, sat back down on the edge of the bed, and then asked, "So how did you get here?"
"How did you get here?" The child's voice sounded somewhat troubled, and even the little creature that had flown to the bedside with the cloud tilted its head in a very human-like manner, as if it were thinking. Then, the child's voice rang out again: "Master, I apologize."
Immediately, Yun Duo felt a sharp pain on her forehead; she had been stung by the ant-bee.
