However, there was no one around her, so no one heard what he said.
The father and daughter strolled leisurely to their front door, where they saw Jin Jinxiu already standing there, a smile on her face, her eyes revealing tenderness and affection as she looked at them. However, when her gaze fell on Qian Sheng, her expression suddenly turned serious, and she glared at him fiercely, a hint of displeasure flashing in her eyes.

Qian Sheng couldn't help but laugh when he heard his wife's words. He knew she wasn't really angry; she was just nagging because she missed her unmarried daughter. He replied with a smile, "Oh, you old woman, don't wrong me. I was just taking our daughter for a walk in the village, letting her experience the changes. Besides, it's such a small place, what's so great about it?"
Upon hearing this, Jin Jinxiu couldn't help but laugh out loud, but still pretended to be serious and said, "Hmph, don't try to argue with me! You just want to show off your old maidhood, don't you? You think I don't know how smug you are!"
Qian Sheng shook his head helplessly, finding his wife sometimes truly exasperating. He smiled and said, "Alright, alright, you understand me."
