Xu Zi lowered his head and kissed Yu Jiu on the forehead, then put the tailgate up before going to the front to drive.

Yu Jiu forced herself to drink a few more sips, but then she couldn't eat anymore. She really didn't feel hungry. As soon as she finished speaking, the familiar contractions started again. Yu Jiu hadn't been in pain for more than two minutes when the nurse came in and found that Yu Jiu's cervix was already dilated enough to be taken to the delivery room. She then wheeled Yu Jiu in, leaving Xu Zijiang outside.

In the middle of the night, only Yu Jiu was giving birth, so Xu Zijiang was the only one anxiously waiting outside the delivery room. He paced back and forth in the empty corridor, looking impatient.

When the nurse said "take a deep breath," her voice was relatively calm, but when she said "exert force," her tone became particularly strong and her voice rose immediately.
