The baby shouted loudly as soon as it came out, its voice clear and bright, indicating that it was very healthy.

Xu Zi nodded and tucked the quilt into Yu Jiu's lap.
Then he and the nurse pushed Yu Jiu and the baby back to the ward. After the baby was born, they could be discharged at dawn.
Some people are reluctant to spend money on hospitalization, so they may leave as soon as possible after giving birth. However, Xu Zijiang and Yu Jiu are not short of money, so they will stay in the hospital for a while and go back after Yu Jiu has recovered.
However, Yu Jiu hadn't slept for long when the baby woke up, crying loudly from hunger.

Xu Zijiang stayed with Yu Jiu and the baby until dawn. However, he couldn't possibly watch over Yu Jiu and the baby by himself, nor could he go back to cook for Yu Jiu. So, when someone came at dawn, Xu Zijiang paid someone to go back to their team to tell Gouzi's mother to help make chicken soup and cook rice, and then have Gouzi deliver it to her when he went to work.
When Gouzi and his mother learned that Yu Jiusheng had been born, they quickly followed Xu Zijiang's instructions to go to his house to catch a chicken, kill it, make soup, and stir-fry two side dishes. They packed the dishes in a lunchbox and brought them to the hospital, where Gouzi and his mother arrived.
"Captain, did Yu, the educated youth, give birth to a boy or a girl?"
As soon as Gouzi arrived, he excitedly asked Xu Zijiang, who gestured for him to be quiet because Yu Jiu was still sleeping. Then he held up the baby for Gouzi to see and said happily.

Xu Zijiang was very proud; the more he looked at his child, the more beautiful he thought he was. He didn't close his eyes for the rest of the night, glancing between Yu Jiu and the child in his arms. He was even reluctant to put the child down, his smile more loving than that of an 80-year-old grandmother.
"A girl is fine too. With a daughter in front and a son behind, it would be good to have a son and a daughter. Captain, when did you arrive at the hospital last night? We didn't hear a sound. One thing at a time. Since we need to use Gouzi's mother, of course we should pay her. But we can talk about it after Yu Jiu is discharged from the hospital and goes home. There's no rush.
