"How about we have a family competition? We can play relay games, jump rope, arithmetic, reciting poems, answering questions, and dodging obstacles. Anyway, our yard is big enough to handle it."
"That sounds good. Then this part will be yours. You can plan and arrange each part first, such as how many times to spin around, how many jumps to do. We'll follow your instructions."

An'an was very happy and immediately agreed. Since An'an had come up with an idea, how could Yuanyuan be left out? He immediately raised his hand, and Gou Dan and Gou Zaizi also raised their hands.

Yu Jiu readily agreed.

Several children jumped up and cheered.
You know, what they want is definitely not cheap, and Yu Jiu gave them 40 of them, which was really generous. No wonder the kids were so happy. Afterwards, Gou Dan and Gou Zaizi also spoke up and each suggested a small game.

On New Year's Eve, everyone got up around 7 a.m. to have breakfast. After breakfast, they went to each other's homes and started enthusiastically hiding red envelopes.

Yuanyuan excitedly pointed to the cabinet in Zhang Yan and Gouzi's room and said excitedly.

An'an squatted down at the corner of the bed and stuffed the red envelope into the gap under the bed frame, covering it completely. It was so well hidden that it wouldn't be visible unless the mattress was lifted up as well.

Yuanyuan thinks her older sister is amazing!

An'an pushed Yuanyuan into another room.
Yu Jiu and Xu Zijiang were on the first floor. The two wandered around and finally Yu Jiu settled on a good spot—the kitchen.
She squatted down and put the red envelope into a small plate, then stacked it on another plate, pressing the red envelope down tightly.
Then they put the two plates back where the bowls and chopsticks were. With so many bowls, chopsticks and plates together, who would have thought that one of the red envelopes was hidden among them?
"You're so mean! How are Gou Dan and the others going to find it? Kids don't think to look for bowls and chopsticks."
Xu Zijiang chuckled and said, but Yu Jiu spoke with conviction.
“It’s not just Gou Dan and Gou Zai searching, Gou Zi and Zhang Yan are also looking, Uncle and Aunt are looking together too.”
Because Gouzi and Zhang Yan's families had two more elderly people than theirs, each of the two families received an additional 10 red envelopes, meaning each of them kept 10 red envelopes. As for Yu Jiu's side, each person could receive a few more red envelopes.
"That's true."
Xu Zijiang smiled and nodded, then casually hid a red envelope behind the cupboard. He was tall, and he hid it well; if you didn't look carefully, you really wouldn't find it.
Then the two went to the living room and each hid a red envelope before heading to the yard. Yu Jiu hid one red envelope under a potted plant, while Xu Zijiang went even further, digging a small hole and burying the red envelope inside.

Yu Jiu was laughing so hard he almost died. Xu Zijiang said that others were taking things seriously, but he himself was more serious than anyone else.
"It's alright, we can dig it up again if we can't find it. What's there to be afraid of? I'll hide some of the red envelopes a little deeper. We can't let the kids go home empty-handed."
Xu Zijiang had originally planned to hide a few red envelopes well, and a few more obviously, so that they would find them with a sense of accomplishment and enjoyment.

Yu Jiu and Xu Zijiang returned to the living room. Yu Jiu placed a red envelope on the table and then weighed it down with a tissue. After that, they hid several more red envelopes, all in relatively obvious places. Some were hidden very well, while others were deliberately left with only a few corners showing. If you look closely, you can still find them.
Once they find one, they'll probably get an idea. They can rearrange things a little and find lots of red envelopes that way.
After hiding everything on the first floor, Yu Jiu and Xu Zijiang went up to the second floor to check. An An and Yuan Yuan hid on the third floor first, and then came down to the second floor. The four of them met on the second floor.
"Mom, look how many I still have left, while you only have two left!"
Yuanyuan proudly waved the four red envelopes in his hand, and An'an also had four more in her hand. They planned to hide these on the second floor.
"Wherever you hide, it doesn't matter."
Xu Zijiang tapped the brat on the head, too lazy to pay him any attention.
