Chapter 113 Going to Guangzhou (1/2)

Because it was such an important day for Yu Wan's wedding, all of Yu's relatives rushed back home from various places, making the Yu family's dinner party particularly lively.

After a sumptuous dinner, everyone sat together, laughing and chatting happily. Seeing that Li Jin seemed a little bored sitting to the side, Yu Zhenzhen suggested that she accompany her for a walk. Li Jin readily agreed; it was still early, and a stroll would be nice.

The mother and daughter walked side by side, strolling slowly along the path in the residential area. A gentle night breeze brought a touch of coolness, making them feel quite comfortable. As they walked, Yu Zhenzhen suddenly stopped. She turned around, looked intently at Li Jin, and said earnestly, "Jin'er, there's something I want to talk to you about."

Seeing this, Li Jin stopped and looked at her mother, smiling as she said, "Mom, just tell me what's on your mind."

Yu Zhenzhen took a deep breath and then slowly said, "It's like this, when Grandma Gong came to visit last time, she specifically mentioned you and Mo Ze to me. You see, you've already graduated, and Mo Ze is several years older than you. It's time for you to start thinking about your life's important matters."

I know you all have your own thoughts, but Mom still wants to talk to you about it.

Hearing her mother's words, Li Jin blushed slightly, lowered her head, and after a moment said softly, "Mom, Mo Ze and I do have a good relationship, but we haven't discussed such a big thing as marriage in detail yet. Mo Ze is usually busy with work, and I want to focus on my career first and don't want to be tied down by family matters so early."

Yu Zhenzhen sighed softly, took Li Jin's hand, and said earnestly, "Jin'er, Mom understands that you have your own ideals and pursuits. But a girl's youth only lasts a few years. Mo Ze is a good boy, and the Gong family is of good social standing. If you miss this opportunity, you'll never have another chance."

Li Jin looked up at her mother, her eyes filled with determination. "Mom, I know you mean well, but I don't want to give up my dreams just because I'm getting married. I want to achieve something in my career and prove my worth. Besides, Mo Ze and I have a solid foundation in our relationship, so there's no rush. We can talk about marriage when we're both ready." Yu Zhenzhen felt a little helpless but mostly gratified seeing her daughter's insistence. It was a good thing that her daughter had her own opinions and ideas.

She nodded and said, "Okay, Mom respects your decision. But don't push yourself too hard. When the time is right, you should still consider marriage." Li Jin smiled and hugged her mother, saying, "Mom, I know! Don't worry about it, I'll handle it." The mother and daughter continued walking forward, the moonlight shining on them, casting long shadows, and gradually disappeared into the night amidst their laughter.

That night, lying in bed, Li Jin thought about what Yu Zhenzhen had said. It really was time to consider marriage.
