Chapter 113 Going to Guangzhou (2/2)

That night, Li Jin lay in bed, thinking about what Yu Zhenzhen had said. She really should consider marriage. She tossed and turned, her mind filled with memories of her time with Gong Moze. From the initial flutter of their hearts when they first met to their mutual support after they got to know each other, they had shared many wonderful moments together.

The next morning, sunlight streamed through the gaps in the curtains and onto the bed. Li Jin woke up early, full of energy, as if the thought about marriage the night before had given her a unique kind of motivation. She decided to find some time to have a serious talk with Gong Moze about it.

Li Jin has never been a coy person!

So when Li Jin asked him if he had considered their future, Gong Moze was slightly taken aback, then a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes. He looked at Li Jin earnestly, took her hand, and said, "Jin'er, I've wanted to tell you this for a long time. I've always wanted a future with you. I know you have your own career aspirations, and I will always support you. I've also been working hard to give you a better life. I hope we can build a warm family together, and I can be your support when you're tired." Li Jin was deeply moved by Gong Moze's words, her eyes sparkling with happiness. She leaned gently against him and said, "I also want a future with you, but I don't want to give up my career just because of marriage." Gong Moze gently stroked her hair and said, "I understand. We can plan our future together. Career and family don't conflict."

Li Jin then mentioned her desire to go to Guangzhou. Gong Moze thought for a moment and said, "There are great opportunities in Guangzhou now, you can give it a try. However, you're unfamiliar with the area, and I'm still a little worried. I've heard it's quite chaotic there!" Gong Moze then added, "I have a comrade-in-arms in Guangzhou who might be able to help. I'll call him when I get back." Li Jin's eyes lit up, and she looked at Gong Moze gratefully, "That's great! I'll feel more at ease with your comrade's help." Gong Moze nodded and said earnestly, "Once you've made contact, I'll give you his information and contact details. That way, you'll have someone to look after you when you arrive in Guangzhou." The two then chatted for a long time about their future plans, gaining a clearer understanding of each other's thoughts.

Upon returning to the Yu family home, Li Jin went straight to the living room, where she saw Yu Zhenzhen and Grandpa Yu chatting on the sofa. She took a deep breath, smiled, walked over to them, sat down, and told them her plans in detail.

After listening, Yu Zhenzhen's face showed obvious agreement. She said happily, "Jin girl, I think your idea is excellent! There is indeed great potential for development over there."

However, Grandpa Yu's reaction was completely different from Yu Zhenzhen's. He frowned slightly and said with concern, "Jin'er, it's too dangerous for you to go so far away alone. Grandpa is worried about you. Why don't I go with you?"

Li Jin felt a surge of warmth in her heart; she knew that Grandpa Yu genuinely cared about her. She quickly reassured him, "Grandpa, don't worry, I have the ability to protect myself. Besides, I'm just going there to check things out first; I won't be opening a factory there anytime soon. It's not too late to make further plans once I've understood the situation."

A few days later, Gong Moze told Li Jin that he had contacted his comrades, who were very enthusiastic and willing to help Li Jin in Guangzhou. Li Jin felt warm inside and was full of expectations for the future. She began to prepare for her trip to Guangzhou, with Gong Moze helping her with her plans.

On the day of her departure, Gong Moze arrived at Li Jin's house early to help her move her luggage and saw her off at the station. At the station, Gong Moze held Li Jin's hand tightly, his eyes filled with reluctance: "Take good care of yourself over there. If anything happens, you can contact my comrade-in-arms, and don't forget to write to me." Li Jin's eyes reddened slightly, and she nodded, saying, "I will. You take care of yourself too." After saying that, she boarded the train to Guangzhou!
