Night fell, and the campfire roared. Lin Jin sat to one side, her chin resting on her hand, pondering the possible location where the Orchid Star Grass might grow. Gong Moze sat down beside her and handed her a piece of roasted wolf meat. "Dr. Lin, have something to eat to replenish your strength." Lin Jin accepted it and thanked him.
"No need to thank me! I should be thanking you. You saved me first, and now you've come here for my cousin!"
“I’m a doctor, and I will do my best to treat any patient who needs it. I’m curious why your cousin came to such a remote place as the black market for treatment. If he were in Beijing, there would be better doctors and more opportunities!”
Upon hearing this, Gong Moze fell silent.
Lin Jin raised her head slightly, her gaze falling on the other person, and said softly, "Never mind, I was just asking casually. I didn't even have time to ask you if that tricky thing from last time was resolved smoothly?" Her tone seemed somewhat nonchalant, but her eyes revealed a hint of concern.
A faint smile appeared on Gong Moze's lips, a smile as warm and gentle as the spring sun. He looked at Lin Jin and said slowly, "It's all resolved. He was immediately dispatched on a mission upon returning to his unit.
Gong Moze stared intently at Lin Jin, illuminated by the firelight! He wondered whether he should tell her that he had discovered her true identity!

Gong Moze stood up and quickly bowed apologetically, saying, "Dr. Lin, actually, I was investigating things about you before." Gong Moze mustered his courage to say this.
"My business?" Lin Jin asked, puzzled.
"Yes, I've discovered that you might not be your parents' biological child, and your family treats you very badly, constantly scheming against you." Gong Moze finished speaking quickly, looking at Lin Jin with concern.
Lin Jin was taken aback at first, then smiled wryly and said, "Actually, I had suspected it a long time ago, but I came to the countryside too hastily and never had the chance. But it doesn't matter, I'm doing very well on my own now."
"Dr. Lin, you won't be angry that I'm investigating you, will you?" Gong Moze asked Lin Jin nervously.
Lin Jin smiled and said, "I respect your responsibilities! So there's nothing to be angry about!"
Gong Moze then asked, "Do you want to find your biological parents?" Lin Jin shook her head. "It's up to fate. I won't look for them! If they look for me, I'll consider whether or not to acknowledge them!"
Gong Moze said admiringly, "Dr. Lin is the most special woman I've ever met! Can we be friends?"
Lin Jin smiled slyly and said: Aren't we friends?
