Chapter 137 Hold on tight, don't drop him and break him (1/2)

Fu Shen said with barely concealed panic, "Yueyue, are you about to give birth? I'll take you to the hospital right now, and the pain will go away once we get there."

As he spoke, he carefully bent down and steadily picked up Su Yue, then turned around and walked quickly toward the door, his forehead already covered in fine beads of sweat.

Su Yue felt Fu Shen's body trembling slightly uncontrollably. She endured the waves of pain in her abdomen, took a deep breath with difficulty, and her stomach was still cramping in waves, but she still comforted him softly: "Don't be nervous, go and wake up your godmother and help us get the baby's clothes."

As she spoke, her pale lips trembled slightly.

Fu Shen glanced back at the bundle they had carefully prepared, then gently placed Su Yue on the bed, his eyes filled with worry.

Just as she put it down, Wang Jingyi rushed over and knocked on the door, her voice filled with concern and anxiety: "Yueyue, are you about to give birth?"

She had just gotten up in the middle of the night and when she returned, she saw that the light in Su Yue's room was on. She could also faintly hear Su Yue telling her to get up, so she hurried over to check on the situation.

Fu Shen quickly opened the door, his voice tense: "She's about to give birth."

Wang Jingyi strode in and saw Su Yue holding her large, protruding belly, biting her lower lip, her brows furrowed, trying to endure the excruciating pain.

When Su Yue saw her, she mustered her last bit of strength, raised her pale and weak face, and gave a forced smile: "Godmother."

Wang Jingyi picked up her bag and said urgently, "Quick, let's go to the hospital."

Fu Shen carried Su Yue and strode ahead. His steps were steady and fast, and Wang Jingyi almost had to jog behind him to keep up with his hurried pace.

Upon arriving at the hospital, the on-duty nurse instructed Fu Shen to gently place Su Yue on a stretcher, and then hurriedly ran to call the on-duty doctor.

A short while later, the doctor arrived; it was the same doctor who had been helping Su Yue with her prenatal checkups.

Just as she was about to ask Su Yue how she was feeling, Su Yue hurriedly said, "It seems like the baby is about to come out."

Fu Shen had been staying close to Su Yue, holding her hand tightly. Upon hearing these words, his hand involuntarily tightened, his eyes filled with tension and worry.

The doctor quickly walked to Su Yue's side. Just as she was about to lift Su Yue's long skirt to examine her, the baby was born at that moment.

The group watched in astonishment as Su Yue's swollen belly rapidly shrank, their faces filled with disbelief.

Only Su Yue breathed a long sigh of relief, her tone filled with the joy of surviving a disaster: "It feels like dawn has broken."

Of the group, Fu Shen was the first to regain his senses. He stared intently at Su Yue, his voice trembling slightly as he said, "Yueyue, you, our child..."

"It's born," Su Yue said, her face instantly showing panic. "Why didn't I hear him cry?"

Isn't the first thing you hear when a baby is born crying?

She wondered why she hadn't heard him. Thinking of some bad possibility, Su Yue's face turned deathly pale.

Fu Shen had obviously guessed what Su Yue was thinking, and he forced himself to remain calm, saying, "Don't rush, let me take a look first."

At this moment, the doctor also came to her senses, and she carefully picked up a baby wrapped in amniotic sac.

Fu Shen and Wang Jingyi were both stunned when they saw this scene, their faces full of surprise.

Wang Jingyi asked in surprise, "Doctor, why is the baby born like this?"

Upon hearing this, Su Yue braced herself on the bed and struggled to sit up. Seeing this, Fu Shen quickly reached out and steadily helped her up, anxiously asking, "What's wrong with the baby?"

The doctor explained, "The baby is fine. Once we tear open the amniotic sac, we can hear him cry. I've delivered many babies, but this is the first time I've seen one come out wrapped in an amniotic sac."

Thinking to myself, this is the first time I've encountered a woman who gave birth so quickly without even going into the delivery room, and it didn't seem like she exerted much effort at all.

Su Yue and Fu Shen stared intently at the child in the doctor's arms, their eyes filled with concern and curiosity.

Su Yue's eyes gradually welled up with tears. Thinking of the child who had no chance to be born in her previous life, who had finally come into the world safely at this moment, she was filled with emotion.

Fu Shen glanced at Su Yue, then walked up to the doctor with a mixture of anticipation and nervousness. "Can I hug him?"

The doctor smiled and said, "Yes, it's a bit slippery."
