Chapter 213 Are you my grandma? You look so young! (2/2)

Su Yue originally thought that Ping An was a germaphobe and only wanted to sleep alone.

She had previously worried about the long term, fearing that Ping An's obsessive-compulsive disorder would make it difficult for her to find a partner in the future.

Hearing him say without hesitation that he would sleep with his grandfather, she finally felt relieved.

Ping An said, "Mom, Grandma, I'll go get Grandpa's blanket first. The one I'm using is too small; it's not enough for both of us."

There was a brand new quilt in his wardrobe.

Su Yue nodded, "Go ahead."

The weather is unbearably hot during the day, but it's still somewhat cool at night with the fan on.

After leaving safely, Tian Huanyan suddenly exclaimed, "Huo Xueshen's genes are truly powerful."

Su Yue looked puzzled, not understanding why she suddenly said that: "What?"

Tian Huanyan patiently explained, "My son and grandson inherited their faces from him, not from either of us. No, you're alright, Ping An's eyes are like yours."

Looking at myself, my son, and my grandson, I realize they are nothing like me.

Upon hearing this, Su Yue couldn't help but laugh.

In the kitchen, Fu Shen insisted that he could handle it by himself, so Huo Xueshen went out to find Ping An. As he passed the door, he overheard Tian Huanyan's words and couldn't help but speak up:

"Who said my son and grandson inherited my genes? My grandson inherited your obsession with cleanliness."

Tian Huanyan stared at Su Yue in astonishment: "Yueyue, what he said is true. Ping An inherited my germaphobia."

She knew in her heart that people with severe mysophobia could be difficult to get along with in daily life.

Su Yue hadn't expected that Ping An's obsession with cleanliness was inherited from Tian Huanyan. She said seriously, "Yes, I could tell when I changed his diapers just a few hours after he was born..."

Su Yue recounted to Tian Huanyan in detail all the interesting stories about Ping An's childhood related to his obsessive-compulsive disorder about cleanliness.

After listening, Tian Huanyan didn't know what to say.

After a long while, he slowly said, "Boys who are clean are more likely to find wives."

Su Yue smiled, but her own situation was quite the opposite.

After the meal, everyone did their own thing: some cleared the dishes, while others went to take a shower.

In the room, Ping An lay on the bed, her eyes wide open, listening intently as Huo Xueshen recounted insights she had never heard before.

In her room, Tian Huanyan hesitated for a long time before finally walking to Huo Xueshen and Ping An's door and gently knocking.

"Huo Xueshen, come out here for a moment, I have something to ask you."

Huo Xueshen turned to look at Ping An, "It's late, you should go to sleep first. You have school tomorrow. Grandpa is going out to talk to Grandma."

Ping An nodded obediently, "I understand."

While eating, he heard his father say that his grandfather would be staying at home for several days. Now, he would finally have time to ask all the questions he had been saving up for so long.

Su Yue sat in front of the dressing table, applying face cream, and vaguely heard Tian Huanyan calling Huo Xueshen to go out.

She turned to look at Fu Shen, who was leaning against the headboard reading a book, and asked, "Did you hear Mom call Dad to go out?"

Fu Shen looked up from his book and said calmly, "I heard you."

Huo Xueshen followed Tian Huanyan into the courtyard, where the moonlight was exceptionally bright tonight.

Tian Huanyan sat down on the stone bench first, and Huo Xueshen also slowly sat down.

The two sat quietly, neither speaking first, the atmosphere quiet yet somewhat subtle.

Only when the faint meows of a kitten reached their ears in the distance did Huo Xueshen turn to Tian Huanyan, breaking the silence: "What do you want to tell me?"

Tian Huanyan's expression was slightly solemn: "I've heard a lot from Yueyue about you, and there's one thing in particular that I feel very sorry about."

Huo Xueshen was slightly taken aback. "What is it?"

Tian Huanyan's voice was low: "The note I left you asked you to send money abroad."
