She frowned, but then composed herself: "Perhaps it's just some kind of high-tech way of opening the door..."
Chu Hongyu decided to take a look at the legendary office of the president of the Ning Group.
The 270-degree floor-to-ceiling windows offer an unobstructed view of Victoria Harbour, where the azure waters shimmer in the sunlight, as if sprinkled with shattered diamonds.
The passing ships appeared as tiny as toys.
In the distance, towering buildings stand side by side, showcasing the prosperity and vitality of Hong Kong Island.
Chu Hongyu exclaimed, "This isn't an office, it's practically a viewing platform!"
She roughly estimated that such a large area would definitely cost an astronomical sum in the prime location of Central.
The office is divided into a reception area and a work area. The decoration style is simple and elegant, yet exudes understated luxury.
The reception area was furnished with leather sofas and coffee tables, and several abstract paintings hung on the wall. Chu Hongyu couldn't understand them, but she felt that they were colorful and had a strong artistic feel.
The office area features a huge mahogany desk, behind which is a wall of bookshelves filled with various books and documents, giving it a very cultured feel.
On the desk sat a microcomputer she had never seen before, bearing the IBM PC logo; she had only ever seen such things in Hong Kong government magazines.
Chu Hongyu couldn't help but stare at the "microcomputer" for a while, then at the telephone, documents, and so on, all arranged in an orderly manner.
However, looking around, Chu Hongyu did not see Ning Bingyu.
"Young Master?" The huge office was empty, with only Chu Hongyu's voice echoing in the background.
She walked around to the left and right. Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, the view of Victoria Harbour was still bustling, a stark contrast to the quiet office.
No one was in sight...
She was a little puzzled. Was Ning Bingyu not here?
Chu Hongyu also came from a cadre family in Shanghai, and was well-versed in human relationships from a young age.
She understood the taboo of subordinates being left alone in their superiors' offices, especially in Hong Kong, a place she was unfamiliar with.
If any confidential documents were to come to a head, she couldn't afford the consequences.
Thinking of this, Chu Hongyu immediately turned around and prepared to leave.
However, when she got to the door, she realized that she had no idea how to open it!
She couldn't help but wonder if the Secretary General, Karena, had deliberately locked her up here.
Chu Hongyu became wary and was about to knock on the door.
Suddenly, he heard a noise behind him.
She turned around abruptly and saw that a door had opened on the wall not far away.
Ning Bingyu, with a white bath towel wrapped around his waist and his wet hair still dripping, was walking out of the room.
Water droplets slid down his angular, muscular chest, disappearing into his strong waist and abdomen covered by a bath towel, revealing glimpses of his sexy V-line.
Caught off guard by this scene, Chu Hongyu felt her face burning instantly. She turned around abruptly, lowered her head, and dared not look any further.
Ning Bingyu was clearly taken aback for a moment, then raised an eyebrow and asked in an icy tone, "What are you doing here? How did you get in?"
Chu Hongyu suppressed her unease and forced herself to explain, "I'm sorry, young master, I'm returning to the mainland the day after tomorrow, and I need your signature on some documents."
Ning Bingyu frowned, looked down at the towel on his body, then glanced at Chu Hongyu, his tone cold—
“You should have made an appointment with Assistant Ye beforehand, instead of barging into my office, especially my private lounge.”
His gaze fell on the card in her hand: "Also, where did you get this access card? This floor's access card isn't something a lowly assistant like you should have."
A hint of embarrassment flashed across Chu Hongyu's face. She bit her lip slightly and said, "The card was given to me by Tony..."
She thought to herself that back at the Jinjiang Hotel, everyone worked on the same floor and there weren't so many rules.
Who knew the rules at the Ning Group would be so strict? Even when she accompanied her father to the mayor's office before, it wasn't like this...
Ning Bingyu's tone grew even colder: "That was Tony's dereliction of duty. He didn't follow security guidelines, so half of his bonus this month will be deducted. Now, please leave my lounge immediately."
Upon hearing that Ning Bingyu was going to deduct Tony's bonus, Chu Hongyu felt a surge of anger.
She couldn't help but turn her head: "Tony only let me come up here to report because he knows I'm not an assassin. I'm going back to the mainland the day after tomorrow, and these documents need to be signed as soon as possible, otherwise it will delay the project's progress. That's why he let me come up. Young master, there's no reason to deduct his salary..."
Who knew that when she turned her head, she would see Ning Bingyu putting on his pants, his strong waist and abdomen... becoming increasingly visible with the movement.
Chu Hongyu's eyes widened instantly!
But she quickly realized what she had done, turned around abruptly, her face flushed red, and couldn't help but yell, "Ning Bingyu! You're being a pervert!"
She's going to get a sty! She saw the boss naked!
But subconsciously, the word "so big" popped into her mind!
Ning Bingyu, his face cold and expressionless, continued putting on his pants, his tone icy: "I acted like a hooligan? Miss Chu, you were the one who trespassed into my private lounge without permission, and now you're turning around and accusing me? Besides, who was spying on me while I was changing clothes?"
Chu Hongyu's pretty face turned red with anger, but she had no way to refute it.
Because she then realized that behind the bookshelf was a large bed, and Ning Bingyu had come out of a bathroom!
She took a deep breath, trying to suppress her anger, and said as calmly as possible, "Young Master, I'm just here to deliver some documents, nothing more. If you feel I've offended you, I apologize. But please don't deduct Tony's bonus, deduct mine!"
Ning Bingyu finally finished putting on his pants. As he buttoned his shirt, he chuckled lightly, "Heh. You're quite the loyal friend. When did you get so close to Tony?"
Chu Hongyu covered her face, feeling it burning, and said in a muffled voice, "Tony and I have always had a good relationship! Back in the Jinjiang Hotel, we all worked on the same floor, seeing each other all the time, there weren't so many class rules."
Is this a veiled criticism of him, saying she didn't have enough permission and trespassed?
Ning Bingyu glanced at her and said coldly, "Then you'd better not fall in love with Tony. Ning's doesn't allow office romances. If they're discovered, one of you will have to leave."
Chu Hongyu couldn't believe it, and angrily glared at him again: "What if the young master falls for his subordinate? Does that mean the subordinate has to accept his bad luck and pack his bags and leave?"
His shirt wasn't buttoned up yet, and the steam from his shower hadn't dissipated. His muscular chest and abdomen gleamed under the light.
Chu Hongyu suddenly turned her head, her ears turning red.
Why isn't he getting dressed faster!
Ning Bingyu followed her gaze and looked down at himself, then slowly buttoned up his shirt: "If I take a fancy to a female subordinate, that's her good fortune, and naturally she should leave. Even if she's not with Ning's, with my resources, she'll have other good opportunities."
He paused, then added coolly, "Of course, I never mess with my staff, so you don't need to worry."
