Chapter 133 The Wedding Procession (1/2)

Chapter 133 Welcoming the Bride

He resumed his affectionate demeanor, as if he weren't the one who had just looked at him with disdain.

Several people were furious upon hearing this. What does "fickle and promiscuous" mean? It's ridiculous.

"How many girls have you liked? How dare you say that to me!" Yun Mo chuckled and said, "To tell you the truth, you're just a substitute for Zhang Chengdong. I've never liked you!"

"What?" Zhou Han didn't understand, and shook her head blankly. "What did you say?"

"Haven't you noticed how similar your eyes are to his?" Yunmo's eyes softened as she mentioned Zhang Chengdong.

"A long time ago, he saved my life, but unfortunately, all I remember are his eyes."

"But your eyes are very similar to his, so I've always liked him, not you!"

These words were a fatal blow to Zhou Han. He used to be able to fantasize that Yun Mo loved him and think about those good things, and Zhou Han could grit his teeth and get through it.

But all that tenderness and affection was reserved for others.

Zhou Han shook her head. "No, no!"

"I don't believe it! I don't believe it!" Zhou Han cried out, tearing at her hair in anguish.

He looked up and saw Zhang Chengdong walking towards him from afar. Zhang was tall and robust, with deep, star-like eyes, just like his own. In this way, their eyes did indeed look somewhat similar.

Zhang Chengdong, filled with malice, grabbed his collar and punched him.

Staggering back a few steps, Zhou Han fell to the ground, blood flowing from the corner of his mouth. He clutched his chin and groaned in pain.

"I told you, if you bother Yunmo again, I'll beat you every time I see you!" Zhang Chengdong glared at him fiercely.

In front of Zhang Chengdong, Zhou Han was just a weak and helpless little chick.

Zhang Chengdong sneered, not taking him seriously at all. He even stepped over Zhou Han, put his arm around Yun Mo right in front of him, and swaggered away defiantly.

Zhou Han lay on the ground, his face ashen. A biting northwest wind blew, and he shivered, bursting into tears.

Why? Why? He was just a substitute? Yunmo had never loved him at all; he couldn't accept this fact for a moment.

He stood up in a daze and walked forward like a walking corpse...

...

Zhang Chengdong's marriage application was approved quickly, and he was also granted an extra ten days of marriage leave.

Today is their wedding day.

The Zhang family was brightly decorated with lanterns and colorful ribbons, and the courtyard was draped with red silk. The wedding procession arrived at the Zhang family early in the morning, and the brides were all in high spirits, waiting for the groom to lead them to the bride's home.

Yunmo was getting married from the educated youth settlement. Dressed in a red bridal gown, she sat on the kang (a heated brick bed) and couldn't help but look up at the outside world.

"Oh, look how anxious our new bride is!" Liu Nian joked as she walked over. "Let me tell you, I've come up with a lot of ways to make things difficult for the groom. You won't be mad at me, will you?"

Liu Nian went online and asked some questions. She found that the wedding procession would be like a series of challenges, which was quite interesting. Liu Nian noted down some harmless tips.

Before Yunmo could answer, Sufeng's excited shout rang out.

"They're here! They're here!" Su Feng stood outside the door and quickly relayed the message to the people inside. "Wow, there are so many of them, and they look so burly!"

Zhang Chengdong, dressed in military uniform, stood at the front, followed by a group of strong young men who looked unfamiliar.

Later I learned that these were Zhang Chengdong's retired comrades-in-arms who had come from out of town after hearing the news of his upcoming wedding.

“We, your family members, are no match for you.” Liu Nian opened the door and went inside, then turned to warn Yun Mo, “Don’t you dare side with outsiders.”

Yunmo smiled shyly and said, "I know." On their wedding day, the groom is always made to be a little difficult, to let him know how hard it is to win the bride's heart.

Liu Nian leaned against the door, one hand on her hip, and said, "The groom looks really handsome today."

After she finished speaking, she could clearly feel a cool gaze directed at her.

Liu Nian smiled at Su Xu, thinking to herself: These are just polite words, don't take them seriously.
