Chapter 225 Sister Miao, the Mighty and Domineering Boss (2/2)

Zhou Wenhao nodded obediently and said, "Okay."

The motorcycle passed through the alley and then turned into the bustling traffic.

Su Miao suddenly felt something pressing against her shoulder, and heard the boy's soft murmur in her ear, "Stomach ache, sorry, let me lean on you for a bit."

The boy's chin was pressing hard against her shoulder. Su Miao wanted to turn around, but the boy's hot breath was blowing on her neck, which annoyed her.

A gust of wind blew through her hair and brushed against his face. Zhou Wenhao squinted, inhaling the fragrance of her hair, and chuckled softly.

Long time no see, Su Miao.

Having ascertained Zhou Wenhao's address, Su Miao dutifully escorted him home, hoping he would never run into this trouble again.

But the next day, at the same alleyway, it was Zhou Wenhao again, his face bruised and swollen.

Su Miao was furious.

"Anyone who dares to touch him again, I'll kill you all!" Su Miao pointed at the group of boys she had beaten and who were lying on the ground, unable to get up. "From now on, he's mine, I'll protect him! Since you know who I am, don't go looking for trouble!"

Zhou Wenhao sat on the ground, leaning against the wall, blood slowly flowing down his forehead and past the corner of his eye. He blinked, but his posture was so languid that he didn't seem like the one who had been beaten; he seemed more like the one who started it all.

This time the beating was even more brutal than the last. Su Miao scolded him with a hint of disappointment, "How can you be so weak? You got beaten up like this. Aren't you ashamed?"

She tossed a tissue over and said irritably, "Cover your wound."

Zhou Wenhao slowly unwrapped a tissue and covered the wound with his hand. He leaned to one side, raised one hand, closed one eye, but looked at her with a bright, sparkling gaze and said, "You weren't lying when you said you'd protect me, were you, Sister Miaomiao?"

"And at home..." he said, lowering his head, his eyes downcast, a red mark appearing at the corner of his eyes.

Bloodstains were on his white t-shirt, and the boy's messy hair was stained with blood. His shirt was disheveled, and the torn collar was wide open, revealing his fair and protruding collarbone and large areas of skin, giving people a strange sense of brokenness.

Su Miao felt a pang in her heart. She wasn't sure if it was right to describe a boy as broken, but it just stirred her protective instincts.

Having been the eldest sister since childhood, she often stood up for her younger brothers. In fact, she had a bit of a personal hero complex. So when faced with Zhou Wenhao's aggrieved and pitiful appearance, Su Miao hesitated for a moment but still agreed. She couldn't refuse.

Especially since something might have happened at home, otherwise, he wouldn't have kept quiet about being beaten so many times; there must be no one to stand up for him...

“It’s not fake. I’ll protect you from now on.” Su Miao reached out her hand to him.

A gentle breeze was blowing, and Zhou Wenhao looked at Su Miao's hair swaying on her shoulder, and noticed a hint of pity flashing in her eyes.

Zhou Wenhao bowed his head and said, "Thank you."

The hand, its red nails gleaming, flashed in front of him again. "Get up right now!"

Before he could react, the hand had already grabbed his shoulder and pulled him up from the ground.

She's really strong; she's definitely a martial artist. Zhou Wenhao couldn't help himself and stumbled, falling right into her.

"Oh, I think I twisted my ankle." He feigned innocence and hugged her waist.
