Chapter 226 Su Miao Falls into the Trap (1/2)

Chapter 226 Su Miao fell into the trap

Suddenly, someone lunged at her, and Su Miao stumbled back a few steps until she came to her feet, feeling a pair of hands gripping her waist.

The boy's bones were so hard they hurt, and Su Miao was pinned down and unable to move.

Just as Su Miao was about to curse, the hand obediently removed from her waist. Zhou Wenhao raised his hands, indicating his innocence, and said, "Sorry."

He stood unsteadily on one foot, looking at her with a disheveled and helpless expression.

“I really didn’t mean to,” Zhou Wenhao said again, his eyes twitching and his eyelashes fluttering like wings.

Su Miao began to despise herself for her innocent appearance; how could her little brother have been deliberately taking advantage of her?

"Alright, let's go." Su Miao held his arm with one hand, and he hopped along on one leg, struggling to step onto the back of the motorcycle.

As the bike started moving, Su Miao, who always rode very fast, weaved through traffic, squeezing into any gaps. Zhou Wenhao tugged at her clothes and couldn't help but say, "Could you slow down a bit?"

This is too dangerous for Su Miao.

The light was red, so Su Miao had to brake suddenly. Zhou Wenhao was thrown against Su Miao's back by the momentum and then reached out and hugged her tightly.

The boy's slightly warm body temperature enveloped her as his long, slender limbs wrapped around her from behind, his cheek brushing against hers as he leaned forward.

"Actually, this works too." The boy's words were mumbled, but he seemed to be secretly pleased.

The sound was blown into pieces by the wind, so it wasn't very clear when it reached Su Miao's ears. She shouted, "What did you say?"

The light turned green, and Su Miao floored the accelerator. Zhou Wenhao, holding Su Miao's hand tightly, pretended to rest his chin on her shoulder and shouted, "You're driving so fast, I'm dizzy!"

He tightened his arms around her, pressing them close to her back. Su Miao knew her brother was just scared and didn't think much of it.

But this is too weak, Su Miao curled her lips, smiled disdainfully, and added another twenty miles per hour.

"Little brother, let me show you what speed and passion really mean!" Su Miao galloped exhilaratingly through the wind, while the boy on her back yelled along, "Whoa..."

The destination was the hospital. Aunt Wu Qianli looked at Su Miao and said, "Sigh, why don't you get a VIP membership at our hospital? You can bring people here every day."

Zhou Wenhao suddenly retorted, "Wasn't I the first one?"

He sat on a chair to the side, dried blood on his cheeks, his eyes fixed on his toes, his lips pursed tightly.

"Of course not. Those kids at my martial arts school are always yelling and need to be taught a lesson. They're in the hospital all the time." Su Miao lifted Zhou Wenhao's hair, wanting to see the cut on his head, but Zhou Wenhao suddenly shook his head and touched the wound that had already stopped bleeding.

The fingertip traced the shape of the wound, then the nail dug into the wound and scraped hard.

Instantly, the wound was torn open by the fingernails, and bright red blood reappeared from the brown wound, sliding down his forehead.

Zhou Wenhao tilted his head, looking at her with bloodshot eyes, "Oh dear, why are you bleeding again?"

He rubbed his fingers together; his fair fingers were stained with blood, and at the tips of his fingers, they resembled strangely blooming flowers.

Su Miao's hand froze in mid-air, and she felt a sharp pain.

Wu Qianli clicked her tongue, feeling a bit uneasy, and quickly asked the nurse to disinfect and bandage Zhou Wenhao's wound.

Seeing Zhou Wenhao enter the disinfection room, Wu Qianli couldn't help but ask, "Who is this person?"

She glanced warily at the spot where Zhou Wenhao had disappeared. "It was pretty scary."

"Is it scary? No, it isn't." Su Miao said dismissively, "He's just a little brother, very well-behaved. He probably just felt a little itchy from his wound."

“I used to be a neighbor of Jiangjuntun. We used to play together a lot when we were kids. He would always chase after me and call me Sister Miaomiao. He was being bullied, and I couldn’t just stand by and watch him die.”

Wu Qianli remained noncommittal. "Being good?" she asked, laughing as she tore at her wound. "Very good?"

After leaving the hospital, Su Miao took him home. His leg injury was supposedly nothing serious, but Zhou Wenhao still limped out of the car, turned to look at her, and asked, "Will you pick me up for school tomorrow?"

Su Miao straddled the motorcycle, one leg bent and resting on the ground. She decisively refused, "No time, I have many important things to do."

Zhou Wenhao's head was wrapped in gauze, his face was pale, and the corners of his eyes were slightly red. He didn't look at Su Miao, his eyes were fixed on the ground. "Didn't you say you would protect me?"

After he finished speaking, his gaze slowly moved upwards, little by little, until the redness at the corners of his eyes gradually blurred and intensified. In the end, the image that appeared to Su Miao was that of an incredibly pitiful person, while she was a scoundrel who didn't keep his word.

It seemed she really had done something wrong, but she really had something to do tomorrow. Sun Miao was frantic and tried to reason with her, saying, "What time do you get out of school? I'll pick you up from school tonight."

"Okay." Having achieved his goal, Zhou Wenhao nodded and curled the corners of his mouth. "Don't forget, okay?" His eyebrows were raised, and there were still tears welling up in the corners of his eyes.
