Chapter 232 The Madman's Love (The End)
He finds everything easy to obtain and therefore boring; for him, studying is merely a way to pass the time.
Therefore, nothing is essential to him, such as Su Yi, who must be with Sister Qianqian.
For example, Zhou Wenhao insisted on hanging around Su Miao, and finally wore her down until she lost her temper.
Take Comrade Su for example; he has loved Ms. Liu for decades.
As for him, Su Yan, he was cold-blooded and indifferent to life.
When he realized this, Su Yan chose to study medicine, as if he were grasping at a straw.
He loved the warm blood; he watched the flowing blood with almost obsessive fascination, touching it reverently with his fingers. He slowly raised his hand to his nose, inhaling the bloody scent, captivated by its aroma and fragrance.
He worshipped his blood-stained hands.
He tried hard to hide himself, blending in with ordinary people and learning their joys and sorrows. But Ms. Liu, pretending to have carelessly scattered books on psychology and other subjects around her home, broke his defenses.
Ms. Liu said, "No matter what, you are still my child."
I am neither proud of you nor ashamed of you. You will always be you, and I accept that completely.
Therefore, Su Yan was neither in pain nor struggling; he believed he would definitely be a good person.
Anatomy class was his favorite. He studied the human body, became familiar with the crisscrossing blood vessels and nerves, and couldn't help but feel excited by the smell of formaldehyde.
Therefore, he immersed himself in and enjoyed every surgery that followed.
"Hi, Dr. Su!" The young girl opposite him greeted him with a smile, blood still flowing from her wrist.
Bloodstains snaked across her fair skin, striking and glaring.
Su Yan took a barely perceptible breath, stepped forward, looked at her wound, and said, "How did you get hurt again?"
This girl's name is Shen Tian. She is as sweet as her name suggests. She smiles at everyone she meets, has shallow dimples, and her eyes crinkle when she smiles. She wears a ponytail and greets people with great enthusiasm.
If you can ignore the wound on her hand.
"Come on, let me take you to get bandaged up." Su Yan pulled her along and hurried into the operating room.
Shen Tian tilted her head to look at him and said with a grin, "Dr. Su, it hurts so much."
But her calm voice and carefree smile showed no sign of pain.
Su Yan stared at the wound on her arm. The whitish, jagged edges revealed tender, bright red flesh inside, which seemed to throb with her pulse.
"What happened?" Su Yan asked, taking out tweezers and starting to disinfect the wound.
The iodine seeped into the wound, but she didn't react at all. She sat to the side, staring at Su Yan without blinking.
Su Yan couldn't help but ask, "Doesn't it hurt?" He then quickly covered the wound with gauze.
Shen Tian nodded and said matter-of-factly, "It hurts, of course it hurts, with such a big cut."
Su Yan frowned upon hearing this, and his movements became as gentle as could be.
Shen Tian is a very lively girl, like a little sun. She always has a bright smile on her face and a sweet tongue. When she comes to the hospital, she can become familiar with a large number of older brothers, sisters, uncles, and aunts.
Judging from her clothes and appearance, she must be living a very happy life.
But why do she always have inexplicable wounds on her body?
At first, it was just bruises, and later the wound started bleeding. She came to the hospital with practiced ease, and sat indifferently in a seat waiting for someone to treat her wound.
Su Yan first met Shen Tian in the hospital corridor. She was sitting there swinging her legs, and streaks of blood were flowing down the outside of her calves, grotesquely crisscrossing her fair skin.
With a lollipop in her mouth, she hummed a song, gently turned her head, and looked at Su Yan.
She blinked but didn't say anything.
Su Yan, wearing a white coat, stood three meters away from her, his eyes fixed on the winding trail of blood.
"Hi!" Shen Tian waved to Su Yan and pointed to the wound on his calf, saying, "I'm injured."
Su Yan walked over and squatted down in front of her. He only glanced at her before turning his head away. Su Yan's Adam's apple bobbed as he exhaled softly, "Let's go, I'll take you to treat your wound."
The warm, slippery blood had a sweet, fishy smell. Su Yan glanced back, seemingly unintentionally, but suddenly met her scrutinizing gaze, which made Su Yan feel deeply embarrassed.
From that day on, Su Yan often saw her at the hospital.
"Why are you always getting hurt?" Su Yan finished sticking on the last piece of tape, his gaze briefly sweeping over her face.
Shen Tian simply said casually, "It was an accident."
"Then be more careful from now on, and don't let yourself get hurt again."
Su Yan's tone was somewhat stiff, as if he were giving orders. He always maintained a cold, businesslike attitude towards someone he wasn't very familiar with.
Shen Tian probably sensed the difference in his tone, and happily nodded, saying, "Okay!"
Watching Shen Tian's departing figure, the head nurse leaned over and shook her head. "Do you think this child is being abused by her family?"
“At first, her mother brought her, and she was covered in bruises. Then her mother stopped coming, and she came by herself.”
She clicked her tongue, perhaps out of pity, but couldn't help feeling indignant. "The parents keep trying to cover it up, saying the child just fell because he wasn't paying attention! I think it's the adults who are abusing him!"
The head nurse is getting old and has children at home. She can't bear to see her children suffer. "So many years have passed in the blink of an eye, she's grown up so much, but...sigh..."
A sigh, enough to break one's heart.
How did it get so much worse? And now there's bleeding?
Su Yan didn't know what she had been through, but suddenly remembered her bright smile.
She should be crying, sobbing, screaming like countless young girls at the slightest injury.
Is it numbness? Su Yan doesn't consider himself a busybody.
"It hurts so much!" Su Miao yelled, holding up his finger to show everyone. "Ouch, look, I'm injured! Waaah, it hurts so much!"
Subsequently, Comrade Su, Ms. Liu, and Su Yi all gathered around, while Su Yan stood on the outermost edge of the crowd, listening to their chattering questions.
"Hurry up and disinfect it, what are you standing there for? Luckily, your older brother is home."
"Does it hurt? Let Mommy blow on it for you."
