Su Yan looked over and realized that the wound was barely noticeable unless you looked closely; it would probably heal in time.
Su Yan suppressed a laugh, "Making a fuss over nothing."
Su Miao looked at him smugly, "Hmph!"
Surrounded by her family, Ms. Liu nudged Su Yan's shoulder and said, "Why do you have to expose her? She's just trying to get our attention."
"It's just child's play; they'll make a big fuss over a little injury."
Su Yan's smile slowly froze on his face. Su Miao practiced martial arts and was not someone who couldn't withstand pain.
But what about that person?
Su Yan pulled up Shen Tian's medical records, which showed that the illness started intermittently when she was eight years old and continued until she was eighteen, with a pause in between, and then it intensified until now.
What about before the age of eight? Were there any other medical records? Su Yan contacted the children's hospital, hoping to find out.
Su Yan felt like he was going crazy, why was he caring about such a thing? But he couldn't ignore the girl who was smiling and saying it hurt.
At midnight, his dream was filled with arms as white as lotus roots, swaying, followed by gushing blood, as if about to spurt from tiny openings.
He heard his own rapid breathing, and sounds of pain and pleasure.
Su Yan's eyes widened, and she suddenly sat up.

The house was empty and the lights were off. Su Yan stood outside the villa, observing its surroundings.
The house was lifeless; the flowers had withered, weeds grew rampant, and the villa's gate was rusty.
It doesn't look like anyone lives here, but this is Shen Tian's home.
"Hey!" Su Yan felt a tap on his shoulder from behind and instinctively turned around.
Shen Tian tilted her head to look at him from behind, but showed no surprise.
Su Yan's pupils contracted slightly, feeling a sense of guilt as if he had been exposed.
"Would you like to come in and sit for a while?" Shen Tian pointed to the house, his expression still as bright and lively as he always had.
Seeing that Su Yan did not answer, Shen Tian turned around and walked straight towards her front door.
He took a step, then put it down again. As if encouraged, Su Yan followed instinctively.
The door opened, and Su Yan followed Shen Tian into the house.
Surprisingly, the room was decorated very warmly, with a family photo on the table, snacks scattered on the sofa, and slippers casually placed by the door. Everything was harmonious, yet strangely eerie.
For example, her slippers were dusty, her snacks were expired, and she was the only one smiling in the family photo.
Why not call the police? Su Yan swallowed the words that were about to come out, because there was no need to call the police at all.
"Chen Tian, come here." Su Yan beckoned to Shen Tian. This time, he truly began to feel sorry for this girl.

Su Yan didn't answer. Instead, he walked up to Shen Tian, lifted the gauze, looked at the scabbed brown scar, and said, "I won't allow you to hurt yourself, even if it's to please me."
His hand gently stroked the ugly scar that resembled a winding centipede. Su Yan's fingertips were warm, unlike his cold and icy demeanor.
Shen Tian's eyelashes fluttered, but she scoffed, "Don't you like it?"
Fresh, warm, flowing blood, and her vibrant life.
Su Yan looked up at the moisture clinging to her eyelashes and said, "I don't like it."
He didn't like it, even though it made his blood boil and gave him extreme pleasure in his midnight dreams.
He loves blood, and her offering herself up like a sacrifice was merely a means to attract him.
Whose attention did she attract with these methods? Her parents?
Growing up in a broken home, she was neglected and scolded. They would only pay attention to her when she was hurt, repeatedly calling her a troublemaker, but they would still take her to the hospital.
In this way, she came to like this form of self-harm.
"I just hope they can look at me even once more." Shen Tian smiled slightly as she looked at the family photo.
She was the only one laughing. Between two adults who disliked each other, they didn't even bother to hide their feelings. If she hadn't begged to take a picture as a memento, they probably wouldn't have agreed at all.

Su Yan's true colors, which he had kept hidden for so long, were discovered by Shen Tian. As if she had found an outlet for her emotions, she hinted to him that she could dedicate herself to him.
Su Yan felt a sudden dampness on his palm, and Shen Tian burst into tears.
She apologized again and again, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry..."
Su Yan pulled her into his arms and suddenly smiled.
